Dolet slowed his pace after a moment, forcing himself to calm down. He couldn't just go around pushing people and hinting at drawing his blaster. It was just bad timing for that latest guy to come up to him.
He got down to the flight deck, just trying to blend in. It'd be better in a warriors-only area, he hoped. He looked around saw most of Black squadron was here. But no Edan, it dawned on him. He hadn't seen Edan in...
The memories, extra ones, started to come to him, and he forced himself to shut them out. He was shutting them all out, those he might find useful and those he'd rather not know at all. Still, he wondered where Edan was. Still alive, he was sure of that. Just not here with Black. Something about it began to nag at him.
There were too many memories, so much to block out. Was Edan ever in Black? No, he was in Gold. Then why did Dolet expect to see him with Black Squadron? He shook his head to clear it. Blot it out.... blot it all out...
He moved to his viper, concentrating on the present. "What's happening?" he asked the deck hand who was bent down by the wing of the plane.
"Patrols are on hold" the flight deck hand replied. "Something happened with a Gold patrol." He looked up, recognizing Dolet.
Dolet grew anxious, about the patrol and the look of recognition crossing the man's face. "Cylons?" he asked.
"Naw. Malfunction I think. They're doing a tow job to the Galactica, from what I hear." He moved a step closer to Dolet. "Hey, could I ask you something?"
Dolet's first instinct was to stick his blaster under the guy's nose. But here on the flight deck, no way. "Sure" he shrugged, trying to remain cool.
"You know that hot Gold pilot Logan...." the man began.
Dolet laughed. Nothing but another guy with the hots for Logan. But then, he'd just left Logan. Was he being followed? Watched?
"Why do you say that?" Dolet asked, eyes narrowing.
The deck hand shrugged. "Got around you'd played cards with her at the O-club. No reason."
Dolet relaxed slightly. These memories he knew pretty well. "So what of it?"
"Think I'd have a shot with her?" he asked. "When I think of that face, that smile, that a--"
Dolet stopped him. "Forget her. She's nothing but trouble."
"Really?" the man said, disappointed. "A girl like that'd be worth a baseship full of trouble, if you ask me."
Dolet laughed. "Yeah, I thought that once too. Probably half the squadron has at one time or another."
The deck hand nodded, then bent down under the wing of the viper again. "I'll have this done in a micron. You'll be ready to fly, don't worry about that."
Dolet nodded, scratched the back of his head, glancing around the bay....

"Damaged Viper, this is Gold 64. I'm coming up on you and I'll try a high speed tow cable attachment. Once it's attached, I'm going to make for the closest Battlestar."
LT. Plwel heard a crackled and broken female voice over the Unicom and managed to respond saying “Acknowledged Gold 64. We must hurry…I am now down to two centons of air left at current dissipation and internal pressurization is down to 43%. I am really starting to feel the vacuumed space pressures now….feels like it is crushing me. I will try to keep my fighter as steady as possible. Gold 3 standing by!” He hoped the female pilot had heard him since he was having communication troubles. As the rescuing Viper came around to maneuver for the tow attempt. Plwel tried to hold his Viper steady as he knew there was only one chance at this. As Gold 64 made her pass, she successfully attached the cable to Plwel’s Viper. Since time was critical, the rescuing Viper did not slow but maintained speed. As the cable tightened completely, Plwel felt the sudden violent jerk of the tow cable which shook his entire fighter. Unfortunately this caused further damage by loosening already damaged pieces in the engine compartment which caused the dissipation rate of oxygen to happen faster. The two Vipers were coming around to line up with the Galactica’s Alpha landing bay.
In the landing bay, emergency and medical teams were standing by to handle the emergency landing. On the Galactica bridge, the Bridge Officer had identified the Viper as a Callisto as well as Lt. Plwel’s Viper and was making immediate notifications to the Callisto Command as well as the senior officers of Gold Squadron…Maj Skyler and Capt Logan letting them know the situation and status.
Plwel was now on final approach. His communicator still seemed to be out so he didn’t hear any traffic over the comm channel. Plwel was starting to get very light headed as he felt himself starting to gasp for air. He looked down as saw he was completely out of oxygen. As the tow cable was released from his Viper, Plwel couldn’t help but release the control stick as he fought to gasp for air. He was microns from reaching the atmosphere barrier within the landing bay but Plwel felt himself start to black out as everything went black and his body became limp. Plwel’s Viper started to drift dangerously close to the left side of the opening to the landing bay and Plwel was unable to lower his landing gear before blacking out. As he entered, the nose of his Viper was barely high enough to allow him to enter without breaking apart. His Viper nose was scraping the deck of the bay and he continued to drift to the left where his left wing made contact with the left wall of the bay and spun him around about ninety degrees. Unable to slow down enough before hitting the end of the bay, emergency nets were deployed to catch the speeding Viper before impacting the rear wall of the bay. Due to the sparks from the continuous sliding, flames had flared up in the engine compartment just as Plwel’s Viper made contact with the emergency catching nets which brought Plwel’s Viper to an immediate halt.
Emergency rescue crews immediately ran in to subdue the fire before the fighter exploded causing a potentially disastrous situation for the entire Galactica. The lid to the cockpit had to be manually opened since the power system were now disabled and rescuers looked upon Plwel’s body that had sustained some cuts and burns on the exposed skin. His helmet was severely cracked from hitting the bay wall upon impact. However, his body seemed lifeless and unresponsive and workers pulled Plwel’s body from the wreckage and placed him in a life tube where they started immediate resuscitation protocols on him and rushed him through decontamination and on to the medical bay. Ensign Guinevere had now landed aboard the Galactica herself and was running over to the wreckage where deck crews stopped her and kept her at a distance so she would not get hurt. She watched in horror as Plwel’s body was lifted from the ship and placed in the life tube. She feared she had been too late and was very concerned for the warrior's well being...

Not trusting herself to even look at Hush, Logan made it to her quarters without even turning to check and see if he was still there. Wouldn't that be rich? I walk all the way here and he isn't even following anymore.
She paused at the entryway and heard his footfalls stop directly behind her. "Wouldn't it be funny if my entire room had changed? Flowers all over the place or something equally uncharacteristic?" What am I doing? Babbling? This is insane.
Without waiting for a response, she hit the mechanism to unlock the door and walked in. The lights adjusted to her personal settings as she walked to the center of the room and finally turned to face him. He was standing there and the door had closed behind him. Ok, that's step one.
Glancing around, she took in her few personal belongings, things laying on her desk, a framed photo of Kellie from when they were kids, an old dagger hanging on the wall that Brik had given her several nova-yahrens ago, a civilian jacket of hers tossed on the corner of her bed. She turned around quickly. Don't look at the bed.
In her haste to look away from that particular memory charger, she was facing Hush and saw a knowing look in his eyes. Why am I blushing? I don't blush. Oh Lords, this was a mistake.
She couldn't be sure but he seemed to have a bemused look on his face. She could feel frustration and a bit of anger rising at that gleam of humor in his eyes. She used that irritation to channel her thoughts into some semblance of order.
She took a steadying breath and made a concentrated effort to not think about anything from the past. No Plwel. No Hush. No anything. She used Dolet as a focal point and hoped she could hold onto that for the duration of the conversation.
"Look, Hush, this is crazy. I have memories of things that didn't happen. At least, I don't think they happened. It ahs something to do with Dolet. He was holding back, I know it. He knows something about all this. I can feel it." She wasn't aware that she was biting her lip in frustration, rubbing her hands together nervously as she paced a small path in the deck in front of him.
"You asked about Plwel earlier...well, I was starting to get involved with him just before the trip through the rift. But that was before...these memories. We, you and I, were friends. Only friends. Of course there were some sparks during the prison transfer mission, but I didn't think you were interested in me in that way...that I was imagining things...and now, I have both sets of memories. They are both so real." She sighed heavily and paused long enough to run her hand over her face and through her hair. She had given up on tying it back and it fell loose to her waist, tangles and all. She didn't care right now.
"I...well, Plwel is so emotional. He won't listen. he seems to only remember the original past and I...I can't talk to him about this right now. I can talk to you. And I don't understand it, because we haven't talked that much...but you know me better than anyone, regardless of where these memories came from. You know me. How does that happen unless these memories are real somehow..."
How can he be so calm? He's just standing there, arms folded, all casual. Well, he always was calm in serious situations. That crease in his forehead is the only tell that he's having strong emotions... that cute little crease... She threw her hands up and rounded on him and said the one thing she couldn't keep in. "I don't know what to do."

Hush had been staring at the bed, taking in all the memories that it held there. It took great effort to shake those memories and force himself back into the present.
"Well" he said with a heavy sigh, "that makes two of us, cause I don't know what to do either."
He turned away from the bed, took a few steps, then turned to face Logan. "A little while ago" he began, "I saw two people in my squadron deal with a lot of heartache over this two memory felgercarb. I'm not sure that what we are dealing with here is a whole lot different."
He leaned back on a storage compartment. "Sure, to tell the truth I've always wanted to be more than friends with you. But I don't think I'd ever of had the guts to try. It's just the way I'm wired, I guess. So here's this guy Plwel, who had the guts, and he's apparently getting somewhere with you, and then BOOM! I fast forward way past him. Do I like being where we remember us being? Oh yeah. But do I deserve it? Did I earn it? Is it fair to Plwel if I keep it?"
He raised up his hands as if asking the gods, then let them fall heavily to his sides. "I want what my memories tell me that we have. I want to experience it first hand, and not just in memories. I want to get you on that bed right now, and it feels right to me. But would it to you if I tried? Would you fight me when it came down to it? Are we the same people as our memories tell us?" He shrugged his shoulders.
"And Dolet. I saw you guys talking. I thought about talking to him myself. But how could he have anything to add to something so personal as what we are dealing with?"
"I don't have any answers" he admitted. "But what I do know is that no matter what I respect you, I don't want to see you having to deal with the heartache Janey and Ally are dealing with, and we've been through way too much that we are sure has happened to have a friendship ruined by things that we aren't sure of."

She took a micron just to look at him. This. This is why I fell in love with him. Practical. Compassionate. Logical. I can totally see why I went after him after that late cycle pyramid game... "Of course you would have never done anything if I hadn't gotten fed up with the wondering and pursued you all over the ship like an idiot." She smiled at the memory and saw he remembered it too. Distance, Logan. You need distance.
She moved away from his perch on the storage compartment and crossed the floor to lean against her desk, crossing her legs in front of her. "I don't think this is fair to anyone. But we're going to have to figure out a way to deal with it. And Hush, you have to know that since I have the exact same memories as you do that I wouldn't fight you. Not one fracking bit. The only thing keeping me from you right now is sheer force of will. I don't know if we're the same people as we remember, but it sure feels like it from here." She could feel the heat rising up her neck and adjusted her collar.
She couldn't sit still and got to her feet again to resume her pacing. "I don't want anyone to have to deal with heartache either. But I don't think we're going to be able to avoid it. Someone is going to be hurt." She turned and came closer to stand in front of him. There were tears in her eyes that she was fighting to hide. "I need to think. We all do. I feel the way you do...and whatever happens, if it's meant to be, it'll happen. Again. I'm going to tell Plwel the same thing. These memories have awakened things in me that I never thought I'd feel. And I want to feel them. I want you. Like I remember. But do I have that right?"
Her computer screen beeped behind her. Turning her head, she moved back over to the desk and looked at the monitor. "We've moved into jump." Brushing her hand over the desk as she turned, several reports fell to the floor. "Frack," she said and bent to pick them up. There were a few pictures in the stack that she laid on top of the paperwork.
She looked over at Hush and gasped. "What's wrong?" he asked.
She was afraid to move because the room wasn't right. She felt like the floor was going to swallow her up and realized that she hadn't taken a breath since she gasped. Remembering to breathe, she put out her hand out to stop Hush as he stood up, concern on his face.
Without looking, she reached back and picked up the pictures. There were several of them. Brik and Skyler after a triad game, Logan, Skyler, Brie and Amy in the launch bay, Logan standing beside her Viper. She threw them down carelessly and held one last picture in her shaking fingers. She held it out to Hush and said, "It's you and me."
The picture that Hush took from her was taken in the O-Club. They were in civilian clothes. Skyler, Brik, Janey and Ally stood behind them laughing and Hush and Logan, seated at the table in the foreground, wrapped around each other, were sharing a kiss.

Edan didn't know what to do now, He was off duty, been thrown out of the computer section of the bridge, and seemed to have to avoid the entirety of Black Squadron. "Frack IT!" Edan exclaimed. He went to the nearest lift and keyed in for The flight deck. If nothing else, it's be interesting to see what his Viper's computer had on it. Anything regarding the Time rift. Or any other missions it seemed he might have been on.
As the lift settled onto the flight deck, Edan moved quickly. He didn't care who was in the bay, or what they might be thinking at the moment. He would deal with all that later.
The ship shuttered a bit, just a rumbling under the boots, but enough for people to know it just jumped. "Time to find the fleet." Edan said to no one in particular. As he came around a viper being readied for launch, Edan saw a warrior standing there, Scratching his head. Edan decided to see what he remembered.
"What's the Word Dolet? are we jumping to the fleet now?"

Hush held the picture, his expression somehow falling between a smile and a frown. "I remember Grease taking this" he said. "But it almost feels like I'm not looking at me and you, but some other me and you." One look at Logan made him think she was thinking the same thing.
He put the picture down, and took up her hands in his. He looked into her eyes until she looked away from the photo and into his. "This is going to keep happening" he said. "We're going to keep seeing ghosts..." He brought up a hand to smooth back the hair on one side of her face. It was a gentle touch, caring.
"...unless we embrace what we've found here" he concluded. "We have to embrace it or, if we must, reject it, otherwise we aren't really living at all. But either way we've got to gain control of this." He had the need to pull her close to him, to protect her somehow and take the pain away, but he hesitated slightly, still afraid that she'd pull away.
You're an idiot, Hush, he thought to himself, and he began to pull Logan toward him.

"What's the Word Dolet? are we jumping to the fleet now?"
Dolet looked over at the sound of a familiar voice. "Hey Edan" he replied.
Hey Edan? he thought. He barely knew this guy. But something was crowding into his mind. He tried to blot it out, but some of it got through, that they had also been pretty good friends. In Black Squadron? But that never happened. Right?
He tried to stay casual, and dropped some of the familiarity from his tone of voice. "Yeah" he said, "Looks like we finally are. I for one am curious as to what we'll find when we reach the fleet."
He looked away, anywhere but at Edan. He didn't want any more memories to rush in at him....

You're an idiot, Logan, she thought as Hush's arms closed around her, pulling her towards him.
Instinctively she knew he was right. It was time to make a choice. They had to take this and run with it or deny it. Living in the middle would slowly destroy all of them.
As soon as he had touched her face, she was undone. The memories flooded through her and trying to sort through them all was hopeless. She saw him hesitate and could see the question in his eyes. I'm sorry, Plwel.
"Hush, I don't know what's the right thing to do. But I do know that whatever these memories are, the feelings that come with them are here. Now. I..." his fingers touched her lips and she stopped talking.
They stood still for a micron, looking for answers in each other. She grasped his hand with her own and kissed his fingers. She saw the response in his eyes as his brows rose slightly. He pulled her close to him and she kissed him, seeking what she was looking for in his touch.
Then she stopped thinking altogether and became lost in the present.

Commander Sheba stood at the viewport and scanned the ships in visual range. Everything looked fine, but she knew by now that appearances were deceiving.
Major Joey spoke up behind her. "Commander, all ships accounted for on radar and messages are being relayed to commanders to report in their status. Except for the Intimidator."
Sheba thought she had misheard the woman and faced her. "The Intimidator?"
Major Joey seemed to share her confusion. "Yes, Commander. The Intimidator isn't with the Fleet. Early reports suggest that Major Brie took a skeleton crew to another jump point. A Cylon Base Ship in pursuit."
Sheba's concern was evident. "Patch me through to Commander Apollo and find out who Major Brie left in charge." She walked quickly across the bridge to Joey's station and leaned over her shoulder, checking the screens herself. "Do long range scans and make sure we don't have company out there."
