With each shot Pierce took at Brie Logan's hand got closer to the blaster strapped to her thigh. "I can't just sit here and let him kill her," kept repeating itself in her head. But Brie was between her and Pierce. Logan was just about to throw caution to the winds and push Brie out of the way and go after Pierce with her bare hands, when she heard Brie ask him for one look around before he finished it. 'Well, thats a strange thing to ask', Logan thought. Before she knew it Brie was facing her. Logan was on the edge of her seat, already shifting her body weight to her feet in preparation. But then she saw Brie's mouth moving as she mouthed a few words to her, "Don't do it. Don't blow your cover." Then Brie turned back to face Pierce. Logan was stunned. Brie did know she had an ally after all. But why didn't she want her to do anything? 'She must have a plan'. But as Pierce took aim at Brie once more, Logan wasn't quite so sure.

We were halfway to the bridge when I saw a door open. I motioned for everyone to stop and be quiet.
"I cannot wait to see the look on the faces of everyone when Master Pierce executes one of those good for nothing Agro workers," I heard the small man say aloud.
I ran towards him and launched myself at him in a tackle. Once I had him in a restraint, I took his laser and gave it to Ange. Before I knew it the agro wroker who called for Bries blood, snatched it out of Anges hand. Just as quick though, Dolet managed to get it back.
Ange went over to smooth over the situation. I turned over the small man I had in a restraint. He had a small build and looked and dressed like th type of person who was into electronics and had no other life.
"My name is JustinB," not wanting to give my full identity away, " you are now a hostage of the good for nothing agro workers. You better do as I say and anser all questions or I'll turn you over to my very angry friends." He nodded with fear upon his face. "What's your name?"
"Ch, Chip," he replied.
"Now Ch Chip, what's the status of Major Brie?"
"Not that it matters cause she will soon be dead like the traitor she is. She.." I punched him in the jaw, "Oooow. Master Pierce has her tied up on the bridge. She is to be soon executed for the glory of mankind. What is even better is that one of her own squadron member is part of our insurrection. By the way, by the time you reach the bridge Master Pierce will be in char.." he didn't finish the sentence as I had heard enough and hit him again and knocked him out.
"Major, what are we gonna do?" asked Dolet.
We are going to double our efforts to take the bridge. Before I could give the order to procede, two more of Pierce's daggit's began to fire at us.

As Pierce aimed directly at Brie’s heart Kyla started to cough a loud, painful sounding cough. “Sorry, Master,” she said, trying to catch her breath.
“Are you okay, Kyla?” Brie asked. Kyla nodded, obviously embarrassed.
Pierce grinned as he aimed once again. “Shows how much you know. Her name is Kari.”
Time slowed down as Pierce was about to fire. Brie focused on Turner, standing quietly behind Pierce. She knew that no one else could see him, that he wasn’t really there, but she felt his presence nonetheless. The only sound she could hear was the familiar ‘click’ of a laser about to fire.
“My name is Kyla!” the young med tech screamed as time sped up again. Lightning fast, she kicked the laser out of Pierce’s hand. It still fired, causing a flurry of sparks on the control board. The connection with the Galactica and the Callisto was immediately broken. Kyla then turned, laser in hand, and fired at both Millie and Tanya. They dropped to the floor. She then pointed at Logan.
“No!” Brie shrieked. “She’s on our side!”
“Are you sure?” Kyla asked.
“Gold Squadron doesn’t have any rotten apples,” Brie said plainly. “Besides, she’s a friend of Skyler’s so yeah, I’m sure.” Brie went over and checked on the two fallen blackshirts. They were both alive.
“I set for stun,” Kyla explained. “There’s been enough death already.”
“Good work,” Brie said. “You ARE your father’s daughter.” She looked around, slightly saddened that Turner was gone. Someone else was also missing. “Um, where’s Pierce?”

It took only a micron to realize that Pierce had somehow snuck away from the bridge. “Lock the doors,” Brie instructed. “We’ve got to make sure he doesn’t make it back to this area.”
“It’s already done,” Dorn, the co-pilot said.
“Captain,” Brie said, looking directly at Suttir, “I know that officially I’m a criminal. When this is over I promise that I will turn myself back in. But I doubt that there’s anyone on this ship with as much experience in crisis situations as I have. With your permission...”
“After what I just saw, I’m planning on leading the fight to get your verdict overturned,” Suttir said. “You’re in charge, whatever you say goes. If Pierce was telling the truth, if there is a bomb near the boiler room, we’ve got to do something.”
“Plus Pierce and his supporters are still out there,” Dorn pointed out. “Who knows what’s been going on.”
Brie held out her hands towards Captain Suttir. “In keeping things official, I’d like for you to be the one to untie me.”
“Gladly,” Suttir said. As he did, he couldn’t help but notice how much blood was running down Brie’s arm. “Are you okay?”
“It’s just a scratch,” Brie lied. She wasn’t going to tell anyone how much she was hurting.
“He’s right,” Kyla added. “Maybe you should let me take a look at you. You have been shot four times.”
“After we dismantle the bomb,” Brie said.
“Communications have been badly damaged by the blast,” Dorn said. “The wires are fried. Not only can we not contact the battlestars for help, we can’t even inform the workers on the ship that we’ve taken back the bridge.”
“So no help is coming,” Brie stated.
“Two vipers landed earlier,” Logan informed everyone. “Someone had sent a piggyback message and alerted them.”
“Okay,” Brie said, picking up Pierce’s laser for herself, “Lieutenant Logan, Kyla, you come with me. We’ll find Pierce and take care of that bomb. Captain, you and Dorn stay here. See if you can find something to tie Millie and Tanya up with. And lock the doors behind us. Is there anyone on this ship that you know without a doubt that you can trust?”
Suttir thought for a micron. “Ange.”
Brie vaguely recognized the name. “How long has he been here?” she asked.
“Yahrens,” Suttir answered. “He was here long before I was.”
“Good,” Brie replied. “So don’t unlock the door for anyone, except for me or Ange. Got it?” Suttir nodded. Brie motioned to Logan and Kyla. “Let’s go.”
“What’s your plan?” Logan asked.
“Outside of letting Pierce shoot me instead of one of the workers, I don’t have one,” Brie replied. The door opened, none of them knowing what waited on the other side.

Logan took a quick look into the corridor and signaled to Brie that it was all clear. "Where did those Vipers land?", Brie asked. "Repair Bay Three. This way." Logan had memorized the location and the most direct route from there to the bridge in hopes that she'd have the opportunity to go looking for the pilots to help take back the ship. Unsure of Pierce's location and that of his followers, she had a feeling that reinforcements, however few, would be essential to taking back the ship. Logan, Brie and Kyla, blasters at the ready, headed in the direction Logan indicated. As they turned a bend in the corridor Logan spotted a solitary figure headed in their direction at a quick clip. It was Comeek, out of breath, returning to the bridge to report to Master Pierce, no doubt. Logan immediately lowered her blaster and stepped slightly in front of Brie, saying "Let me handle this one...please." Comeek came to a halt, with a leering smile on his face as he looked Logan up and down. He didn't even look at Kyla or notice Brie standing behind them. "Logan, where are you going?', Comeek managed to sputter out. "Actually, I was hoping to run into you...", Logan said. Comeek was obviously thrilled at this news. "You were?" "Yes, but unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a hurry to help my friend here take back control of this ship from that psychotic boss of yours," Logan nodded her head in Brie's direction and Comeek's eyes followed, showing confusion at first and then dawning comprehension. Before he had a chance to say another word, Logan's fist connected with his jaw and he crumpled to the deck, motionless. She turned and looked at Brie with a big smile on her face. "Frack, that felt good." Kyla helped Logan drag Comeek's sleeping form into a nearby storage closet and Logan blasted the lock controls on the outside of the door. " After you, Major Brie." And Logan and Kyla followed Brie down the corridor.

Dolet instantly aimed Chip's laser and returned the incoming fire. "I think it's a little late to stick to our cover story about being farmers!" he shouted as he ducked for cover.
Ange produced his weapon and fired off several rounds before ducking down as well. "How many do you figure?" he shouted out.
"Two, maybe three" JustinB guessed. "And you can be sure once Pierce gets a report of a gun battle, there will be more on the way." They had no way of knowing that Pierce had fled the bridge microns earlier.
Behind them, near the back of the group of farmers, two of them were whispering.
"Did you hear? That guy Chip said Brie's tied up on the bridge!" the woman whispered.
"And about to be executed" the man replied.
"That will rob us of our justice" a third farmer joined in, whispering as well. "She should fall at our hands."
"Then let these fools have their fight" the woman announced. "It's the perfect cover to get away and get to Brie on our own!"

The gun battle lasted only a short time before Pierce's group backed off. Realizing things were clear for the moment, everyone relaxed slightly and lowered their weapons. Farmers, ready to throw their pitchforks and other nasty looking hand tools, lowered them. No one noticed the handful of Brie-haters that slipped away down the back hallway.
"Frack" Dolet spat out, his voice sounding oddly loud in the sudden silence. "We didn't take them out. Pierce must be aware by now."
"No, son" Ange disagreed, "I didn't pick up any communication on the Chief's comm. Odd that they wouldn't call for backup." Dolet just rolled his eyes at being called son, but he said nothing.
"Yes" JustinB said, "it is odd that they didn't radio for help. But the bridge is still our goal. Let's keep moving." He turned to the rest of the group. "Keep your eyes open. Let's get to the bridge."
One of the farmers shuffled forward uneasily. He cleared his throat. Clearly he wasn't comfortable, but he spoke anyway. "Uh, I think you should know that some of the farmers have gone off on their own."
Another farmer stepped forward angrily. "Now you hold your tongue or I'll hold it for you."
Dolet and Ange moved in to get between the two as the first farmer spoke again. "No, I'll not be silent. I hate that daggit Brie as much as anyone for what she's done to one of our own..."
"Poor Amy" someone said.
"Such a sweet kid" another chimed in.
The first farmer continued, "...but what those fanatics plan to do to Brie just ain't right. It's bad or worse than what she did to Amy."
"Such an angel Amy was", a woman added. "Poor girl!"
"Okay" JustinB cut in, "you're saying some of the farmers are going to try to beat us to the bridge?" The farmer nodded. "Anyone else planning anything?" He looked the group over with a hardened stare. He met the eyes of everyone in the group. "Because I'll have the head of anyone who goes after Major Brie. We're trying to save your home here, not pursue any vengence. Is that clear?"
No one spoke, but nearly everyone nodded. Dolet stepped close to JustinB. "Do you trust these fanatics?"
JustinB shook his head. "But we need the numbers. Let's go. We have to reach Brie first."

Pierce was thankful for the centars that he had spent studying the blueprints to the Agro Ship. In the confusion he had been able to slip out of the bridge area unseen through the back door, and he continued down out-of-the-way corridors, seeing no one as he went. His biggest regret was the loss of his laser. He’d have to find another one.
The change in the med tech bothered him. Kari, Kyla, whatever the frack her name was, he had always been so good to her. She had been one of his favorites, consistently trying to please him. And please him she had! So he couldn’t remember her name. Was he expected to remember all of their names?
Although he carried a portable internal comm unit with him, he couldn’t take the chance. He would need it soon enough. Through the various corridors he went, knowing exactly where he was headed. His backup plan would still work, more people would die, he would survive, and eventually he would have his revenge. He would make sure that Brie would pay for every wrong ever done to him.

The farmers made a fearsome looking bunch as they stalked the hallways, heading for the bridge. They carried shovels and pitchforks, and a variety of farm tools that could do some serious harm if used as weapons.
The one who seemed in the biggest frenzy was a woman called Star.
"I can't wait to see the daggit's face when we reach the bridge" she hissed, "she'll know not to treat one of ours like she did!"
"Poor Amy" someone said loudly.
"Wonderful child!" shouted someone else.
A farmer named Jeb grabbed Star's arm. "What'll we do when we find her?"
"What do you think?" shouted another man, holding a nasty looking cutting tool.
"We tell her that she's done runnin'", Star explained, "then we give her all the consideration that she gave poor Amy."
"Poor, sweet girl!" someone said.
"We may be simple folks" Star went on, "but we don't take kindly to being treated like trash, left behind like she done!"
All of them shouted in agreement.
"Then to turn tail and run, and to have the nerve to try and take our home ship away from us..."
"To the bridge!" Jeb shouted. Everyone cheered or snarled as they continued once again down the hallway...

On the Galactica’s bridge Commander Apollo watched in horror as Pierce shot Brie several times, and as he was bragging that it was time for her to die the connection was lost. They had tried continuously to reestablish contact, but it was obvious that something had happened aboard the Agro Ship.
President Tigh put a hand on his longtime friend’s shoulder. “If it’s any consolation we finally know the whole truth, AND have it recorded.”
“It’s no consolation if Brie’s dead,” Apollo said. “Who do I think that I am, playing with people’s lives this way?”
“Brie would understand,” Tigh tried to explain. “She would...”
Apollo finished his sentence. “She would have done anything for the fleet, including sacrificing herself. Did you hear her? She called me a great man. I wonder if she would still feel that way if she knew what I had done to her.”
“Commander,” Omega called, “Commander Sheba would like to know what your orders are.”
Apollo thought for a micron. “Have all available pilots ready. If we don’t know what’s happening within half a centar we’ll launch, but they would have to keep some distance between themselves and the Agro Ship.”
“Yes, Sir,” Omega replied.
“Brie, what have I done?” the commander of the fleet said out loud, but quietly enough that no one else could hear it.
