I honestly can't answer that. Although George could have eliminated them during postproduction. Tell her that George probably forgot to eliminate them during post.

Nope, she wants a better explaination than that. All the little details that he works out to perfection, and he forgets something as noticable as eyelashes? And believe me, once you know that they're there you can't help but notice them.
A general question for everyone...as far as Star Wars is concerned what do you hold as canon? Just the movies? The movies and the books that are based on the movies? How far out into the expanded Star Wars universe do you base your thoughts on?

There are entire message boards dedicated to the subject of what's considered canon & what's not. According to the higher-ups at starwars.com, seeing that everything that has to do with the Star Wars timeline (including The OT radioplays, books dealing with the Extended Universe <post Episode VI>,video games, comic books, cartoons, etc.) passes at one time or another over George's desk for his approval, everything is canon. The Clone Wars cartoon is DEFINITELY canon. The story came from George and was passed down to Genndy Tartakovsky (creator of Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack). It deals with events leading directly into Episode III. There is dialogue and actions in Episode III that are directly related to the events in Clone Wars (I.E. General Grevious coughing...) I'm sure that things like the cartoons Droids,Ewoks and The Star Wars Holiday Special are not canon. (Especially TSWHS!!!! George wanted EVERY copy burned!!!! I have a copy BTW ) The Ewoks movies are included as canon. Those events happen about 6 months before ROTJ according to the official SW timeline. (http://www.starwarsfanworks.com/timeline/)

Thanks for the info, but it's not really what I was asking. I want to know what the Callisto members who are also Star Wars fans hold as canon. What do you personally consider "fact" in Star Wars? (I know it's not fact, but I couldn't think of a better word.) The reason I'm asking is I have a discussion question that I'm thinking of posting, but I want to know what people will be basing their answers on. And if I post it I want YOUR opinion, not some non-Callisto members.
BTW, I also have a copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special. I also remember watching it when it was on. Not bad, except for the singing, the story, Luke's hair...

Just saw Episode III for the second time today & i picked up some new things on it.
Anakin's father's identity was revealed!!!!!! "The Legend Of Darth Plagius" dictates according to Palpatine he was "able to create life from the midichlorients." Think back to Episode I when Qui-Gonn asked Shimi who Anakin's father was... She said "There is no father. I carried him I raised him, I can't explain what happened." Imaculate conception apparently.
I saw Katie & George Lucas. Here's where to look: Before the opera scene when Anakin is running to see Palpatine, just before he goes through the doorway to the opera house there are 2 blue people on the extreme left hand side of the screen. That's them.. And Jett WAS the jedi that was killed when Bail Organa tried to gain access to the Jedi temple. My apologies to whoever I told it wasn't him.
The "recordings" in the Jedi Temple were only survailance cameras equipped with sound. I imagine the Jedi needed survailance for security...

Brie, in the words of "a new hope," you want the impossible!!!! Frack, we don't even know what's canon in BSG and there's a lot less of it than Star Wars...
one thing though, you should be proud and grateful that you have such an observant daughter to notice that Anakin still had eyelashes after being burned!!! I guess most people saw that too in ROTJ since in the special, special edition they removed the bushy eyebrows on Sebastian Shaw when Luke took his mask off!!!

Asking for people's opinions is impossible? I can give you mine right now. For me the movies are canon and that's it. Some parts of the books based on the movies maybe (I have yet to read ROTS and don't have time right now) but if it's not in the movies I don't hold it as absolute Star Wars truth.
The eyelashes question has been sort of answered. If you watch when Anakin catches on fire, around his eyes doesn't really burn. At least not as badly as everywhere else. Also his forehead doesn't burn as badly.otherwise the pain would have been excruciating when Palpatine touched him.

Actually, I meant deciding what is canon is next to impossible since everyone has a different opinion.
I agree. Mainly I use the films as the highest form of canon. Also, some of the books that are reference oriented.
I"m not too keen on the expanded universe stuff...
