**SANTOS speaking**
"Pleased to meet you Ensign!"
At least this one was well-mannered, unlike so many that he'd come across in his years in the fleet.
He looked around in a modest show of secrecy and smiled at the young officer warmly. "Enisgn...I have heard that there may be a situation brewing of some sort, so I don't believe that the Commander is available at the moment. I would suggest that you go to your squadron's ready room and see what you can find out" He nodded his head toward a side corridor and, as she looked in that direction, started to go his way. He partially looked over his shoulder with that fatherly smile on his face, "Good luck ensign, I'm sure you'll do well!" And he turned the corner, vanishing from sight.

Brik had to admit that of all the things that could have occurred, this unknown pilot in an antique vessel wearing an equally antique warrior's uniform was the last thing he would ever have expected! But it also made a bizarre kind of sense.
He felt mildly assuaged by the intake of breath that he heard from his cohort and was almost sure that he'd seen a microscopic change in Skyler's expression as well.
He was now really annoyed at being out of uniform, odd as that may seem, even to him.
The entire scenario, thus far, began to appear less and less as some sort of Cylon plot. Given the number of Colonial warriors taken by the Cylons over the yahrens for their nefarious purposes, why would they send an operative in a uniform that was obviously far out of date in a ship that was archaic before he became a warrior? The Cylons could definitely be crafty...but such potential subtleties didn't seem to fit their mechanical-minded method.
This was only the beginning of something truly strange, of that he was sure.

Ione took the specialist's advice and headed for the Ready Room of her new squadron. Although she was new to being a warrior, she had a rough idea of where the Ready Rooms for the pilots were. She consulted her memory and headed off.
It didn't take long for her to find the Ready Room for Gold Squadron. She walked in and hoped that she would find a friendly person in her new squadron.

Baris was distracted from the screen as a young woman wandered into the Ready Room, looking a little lost. Her new uniform and Ensign insignia told her story to him.
He was glad that Lt. Persephone and Ensign Triton were in attendance as his thoughts were fully occupied at the moment on the drama playing out on screen. Besides, I'm not a member of Gold Squadron. I'm a doctor.
That line of thought brought him back to his current preoccupation with this alien pilot. Baris wanted nothing more than to get him in the Med Lab and find out who he was. The Commander could draw information from the man certainly. And, he frowned as he thought it, I'm quite sure that if she let Logan and Brik loose on him, he'd be giving up several generations of his ancestors and their dirty laundry. But Baris trusted in science to give him answers to questions the Warriors hadn't even begun to think of yet.
He sighed inwardly as he heard introductions being passed around behind him as the new recruit was being greeted by her squadmates and waited for the drama in the landing bay to unfold.

Ione exchanged a few greetings with her new squadmates. "So what's going on?"

The man who had emerged from the old ship was in a Warrior's uniform. Something didn't seem quite right about it though. He couldn't put his finger on it. The image on the display was too indistinct.
"Curious," Baris muttered to himself.
"Pardon?" Persephone's question brought him out of his reverie.
Without removing his eyes from the screen, he told the lieutenant, "I don't know who that man is, but something very wrong is going on here."
"I agree", Persephone condoned. "Positiviely wierd", Triton added as he exchanged the same suspicious glance with Baris.
Just then the door to the Ready Room slid open and a young fresh faced warrior entered.
Persephone looked over to the new person who bore an Ensign insignia on her uniform, and looking at first a little unsure of just how to make her entrance into a room that seem to have a heavy matter at hand on the minds of the warriors found inside.
Triton followed Persephone's glance away from the monitor, seeing the new Ensign walking in.
Persephone strided over to the new Ensign offering a greeting to her. "I'm Lieutenant Persephone. And you are?"
The ensign introduced herself as Ensign Ione, and stating that she has just recently graduated training.
"I'm pleased to meet you Ione. Were you sent here with a message for us or some duty?"
Ione procededed to explain that a warrior by the name of Santos suggested she report to the Ready Room as the CO was not available presently for her report to his office.
"Well, Ensign, allow me to introduce you to those of us here at the moment". Persephone walked over toward Triton and the frowning med tech. "This is Lieutenant Triton and Lieutenant Baris from the Life Station/Med Lab."
Ione made a little salute to them both. As Triton did the same in return to her. Baris simply nodded his head at Ione, not being accustomed to saluting as military officer would. He was more used to shaking hands.
Ione exchanged a few greetings with her new squadmates. "So what's going on?"
Persephone and Triton with Baris adding his own speculations, brought The new Ensign up to speed with current events.
Persephone finished with, "Right now, we're watching what is happening on the monitor,as you can see. We have been instructed to remain here in the Ready Room until further notice. We don't know if the pilot of that ship is hostile or not. So best to be keeping vigilance until we know more. If they need us in the landing bay, then we will be prepared to assist immediatly". Persephone put her hand on her holster almost sub-conciously."The Commander will no doubt be briefing us when she has discovered exactly what we are dealing with".

Ione took in the information and nodded. "Sounds like we've got an interesting situation going on." She felt that even though she had been welcomed by the other warriors, she was an outsider still and it would take her time to really feel as if she fit in there.

Skyler stood ready to re-act to whatever this Kalten had up his sleeve. His Uniform was of an older style, but why?
Some yahren before the destruction of the Colonies the Fleet introduced the newer uniforms. Front line units were the first to receive the new issue, and it trickled down from there. Naturally, all Warriors on Battlestar’s received the new style, and when the Galactica replicated uniforms for new Warriors, or replacements for worn, they used the newer style. The Cylons knew of the uniform change. He knew of several Warriors that had been captured in the time since the exodus, if it was a trick, why would they choose a uniform that would draw attention and a ship that was so far out of production.

Kalten watched as Skyler turned to his Warriors….
“Brik, Logan, back in uniform and meet us in Briefing Room 5. Hush, report back in with Major Jorlan and let him know where you will be since the other mission has been called off. Let me know where you will be at so I can reach you if we need you. You are free to hang in Gold’s ready room if you wish.”
Hush glanced down at his civilian dress and nodded. He could use a uniform and would love to be close to Gold. If anyone would know what happened to his friends first, it would be them. He snapped to, saluted… “Yes Sir….” and quickly headed back towards the Bronze barracks.
Skyler turned and nodded to the head Black Shirt, a nice enough guy, career Black Shirt. Never wanted to be a Warrior, held no grudge against the Warriors for perceived damages etc. He was trust worthy and professional in his job.
Sheba brought Kalten’s attention back to her “Lt. Kalten, if you would join Major Skyler and I in one of the briefing rooms, we would like to continue this conversation.” She turned and started walking Skyler at her side, but ever alert to the stranger behind them, Kalten flanked by guards fell into step also.

Logan held back until Hush caught up to her. She had heard Skyler's orders to him and was glad that Hush seemed to be at least a temporary addition to Gold's roster. She wasn't going to lie to herself. She had grown attached to the lieutenant over the course of the past few missions. There was soemthing about his quiet demeanor that put her at ease. She hadn't felt that way in yahrens.
Hush brushed the hair out of his eyes and gave her a hesitant smile. "Back to the grindstone."
"Like we've ever been away from it," she muttered, trying to smile back. She didn't know why she always got tongue-tied with this man. Words weren't something she usually had trouble with. If anything, she talked too much, as she was sure Brik and Skyler could attest to. "I'm glad you're sticking around. We'll...we'll find them."
She tried to convey some sense of assurance to him and touched his shoulder in a friendly way to show her sincerity. He nodded his appreciation and his gray eyes seemed to lighten briefly.
"Ok then. I've got to make myself more presentable for a debriefing, " without turning she held up her hand and said, "Not a word, Brik."
That made Hush's smile return. Logan winked at him and turned to head towards her quarters and a fresh uniform.
