Forgive if this has been brought up already....
According to my best friends brother who's huge into comic books, there are new comic stories coming this year based on the classic Galactica show. This year is the 35th anniversary of the show(?) and I guess this is a way of observing that.
I haven't looked into it any further but I'm pretty sure it's true given the source. This guy is a comic book fanatic and couldn't wait to tell me given that he knows I used to role-play Galactica here.
Anyway, I just wanted to give a heads up to any comic book readers among us that this might be something you'd want to keep an eye out for.

Sounds great. So which comic book company is this? Dynamite?
Hopefully not whoever did the horrid Galactica 1980 comic.

It's going to be dynamite again. New writers though.
I am hoping for a better story and artwork this time around
I really hope this isn't happening just to keep the titles in house.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Keeps the old series alive and celebrates 35 years since the series first aired.
It might get me into a comic book store! Whenever I see the old series, that last episode gets me so depressed. So much lay ahead and it just ended. The new comic might be a good continuation?

I remember I collected the Realm Press series they came out with back around 1998-2000. Nice artwork. We'll see what shows up this time around...

yes we do and it's not good news. The Story will combine BSG and Galactica 1980. It's Starbuck and Apollo dealing with Time Travel Due to Dr Zee and his Felgacarb.
Dynamite is once again taking the easy way out and not showing respect to the source material.

Cover art is great but the story will be crap. I bet this is mostly to keep the license.
