Skyler stood for a few microns, thinking before he spoke, not wanting the pain he felt to come across as anger...
"Brie, you are my life and I couldn't find anyone better..... but if I did misunderstand.... no misread your intentions mine are real enough, I love you and that isn't going to change. Regardless of how you feel about me, I will always be your friend, no matter what. I don't turn my back on my friends.... ever" Skyler started to leave and stopped...." Besides, I told you that I would leave you alone if you would convince me 100% that is what you really wanted...... and you haven't. I am not buying it....." with that Skyler headed for the door.
Brie sat on her bunk pretending to be engrossed in General Sickbay, holding back tears at having to hurt the people she cared about. She knew it would be for their own good, but she still hated it. How she wanted to tell Skyler, but she knew him as well as he apparently knew her, he would go and confront Pierce, and that might get him killed, a thought she couldn't stand. She stole a glance at Skyler leaving and noticed him enter a code into the security console just inside the door and at that moment, the fimiliar hum of the security camera's started back up, as did the stare from the constant almost Cylon like blinking light, letting her know she was being watched.....
