After the turbo-wash, I sat down at the console and started on the report. There was no need in delaying the report. I started from when Dolet and I received the message. Through to meeting up with Security Officer Ange. To finding the agro workers and freeing them. Marching to the bridge and then discovering Brie and Logan locating the bomb. Right through to placing Brie in my viper and transporting her to the Callisto.
By the time I finished the report about one centar had passed. I made sure all was correct and headed to the bridge. With a fresh uniform on, I felt a little bit better. I walked with my head down as I was worried about the state of Brie. I finally made it to the bridge hoping to hand this report in and get out as fast as I could. Hopefully either Colonel Charybdis, Major Lucian or BatGal would be on duty so I could maybe get some sleep.

Commander Apollo pulled a chair next to Brie and sat down. “I don’t even know where to begin. I hope you can hear me, that you can understand what I’m saying. It seemed like a good idea at the time, I don’t know how things went so terribly wrong. Then again, when dealing with a son-of-a-daggit like Pierce I guess we’ll never know what to expect. But Brie, everything has been made right again. Everything. All we need now is for you to wake up. You DO have something to live for.” Apollo sat back and sighed. He could try to explain more, but looking at Brie at the micron didn’t see any reason.

Dolet watched Logan walk away and sit by herself at a table on the other side of the room. To him, it was like there wasn't anyone else but her in the room.
"What was that all about?" The question, asked by one of this fellow squadron mates, jarred him out of his trance.
"I'm not sure" Dolet replied. He was sure though. It was what he'd wanted, a chance to talk with Logan, and he froze up. They even had a common topic for conversation, and still...
"Look" the pilot said to him, "half of Black Squadron has been dying for a chance with her. Go over there, man! Go talk to her."
"I-I don't know" Dolet replied. "Better to say nothing and leave some doubt, than open my mouth and confirm that I'm an idiot."
"That's felgercarb. That's the talk of a loser. We don't have losers in Black Squad. You don't get your butt over there, and this is going to get around." He lowered his voice a little. "You could be hearing about this lost chance for yaaaaarhens..."
"And if I blow it?" Dolet asked, then nodded. "I know, loser talk."
"Aw man!" the pilot said, "she's leaving!" He gave Dolet a shove toward the door. "Go! Go after her!" Dolet looked back at him, looking a little sick feeling. But frack, he'd just taken on a lunatic and angry mobs of farmers, what was a little conversation in comparison? Besides, it beat downing ambrosia and feeling miserable about Major Brie...
As Logan disappeared through the door way, Dolet made his way through the crowd to follow her.

Dolet reached the corridor, and saw Logan heading down the hall. He started going after her, stopped, then looked back at the entrance to the Officer's Club to find two members of Black Squadron peeking out at him. They were smiling, giving the thumbs up sign.
No going back now. "Hey Logan" Dolet called out. "Wait up."
Logan looked over her shoulder, then stopped walking when she saw Dolet heading her way.
"Uh" was all Dolet could say when he reached her. He looked back at the O-Club entrance, and his squadmates ducked back in when they saw him looking. He turned to Logan. "Where are you off to so soon? Uh, not that it's any of my business. I uh, was going to come over to your table. You know, maybe talk a little. That was quite a mission, wasn't it? But if you're busy..."
He felt like he was sweating right through his warrior jacket...

“Don’t make any decisions based on Pierce,” Turner told Brie. “Don’t even think about him.”
“How can I not think about Pierce?” Brie asked. She was so upset thinking about Pierce that she didn’t even notice Commander Apollo entering her room, or JustinB leaving. “If I die now, he’s the one who killed me!”
“No,” Turner said quietly. “It wouldn’t be because of Pierce.”
“What?”
“The injuries you sustained because of him were serious,” Turner explained, “but not life threatening, at least not in the timeframe that we’re in. But that kick you took, right after you told the truth about Amy? That did some major damage. You would die from internal injuries caused by that kick.”
“So some poor farmer, who was only trying to protect his ship, could end up a murderer?”
“Yup.”
“Would he be tried?” Brie asked.
Turner stared at Brie. “I’ve already told you, the future is always in motion. I don’t know if he would or not. Don’t forget, he did go a bit militant on you. Jeb, Star, the whole group set out to kill you. Without you around to explain, who knows what will happen to them. And then there’s Justin.”
“Justin?” Brie echoed. “What about him?”
“He was warned that you might have internal injuries and that you shouldn’t be moved. Just think about how your dying would effect him.”
“But if I live he gets to play the hero again,” Brie said. She laughed softly. “Just what we need, another Black Squadron hero.”
“So will you go back?” Turner asked. “There are a lot of people whose lives you’ve touched, who care about you in many different ways.”
Brie was silently for several microns. “What if I fall in love again? Where doesn’t that leave us?”
Turner pulled Brie into a kiss. “There’s plenty of room for love,” he said at last. “Nothing will ever change between us. You should know that by now.”
“All I know is that I want to be with you,” Brie said. She paused for several more microns. “I think I’m ready to make my decision.”

Dolet wiped his sweaty palms on the sides of his pants, trying to get out what he wanted to say.
"I know this isn't really the best time, with Major Brie like she is and all" Dolet said, "but I've noticed you before."
"Oh really?" Logan asked, crossing her arms and shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
"Uh yeah", Dolet replied. "A bunch of times. Not that I was doing anything weird or anything. It's just that the squadrons use the same facilities as the academy does, and it seemed like every time there was a class that needed a room to use, you were just coming out of it as we went in. Not just you, you know. Your squadron." He swallowed. "But I noticed you. I was hoping to make Gold if I ever graduated, but wouldn't you know it was Black that needed warriors?"
He took a deep breath, and let it out quick. "So, can I interest you in a drink or something?"

Just as I was prepared to leave, I heard a familiar voice.
"JustinB, long time no see," It was Major BatGal. "By the way congratulations on keeping your job as CO."
"Thanks Major. I need you do me a favour. Here is my report on what happened at the ago-ship. Security Officer Ange helped, so its only fit he receive something for his efforts." I replied.
"From what I hear you didn't do to bad a job yourself over there. My door is always open to you if you need to talk. You might not feel it now, but when it all dies down you might be in for one aftershock. A lot of people died because of a madman and we nearly lost one fantastic warrior. But we didn't lose her because you thought quick and got her to the Callisto as fast as you could. You should be proud of that fact. But as I said, my door is always open."
With that she slapped me on the back and took the report. I was a lost soul and I didn't know what to do. I wandered aimlessly and before I knew it I was at the Officers Club. I hoped against hope that no one was there and could have some peace. But I knew I would have only have the one. One in memory of Brie.
