"I had a feeling you would volunteer JustinB," Lucian said with confidence, "so I will give you whatever help you need."
"Well Sir, I will go solo on this one. If it is cylon, better to have one opposed to two. I will require a small tanker, that is I get to far from the fleet. Secondly, as soon as I inform Captain Randrius, I will be visiting Brie before I leave."
I could see that Lucian was trying to figure that part out. "I will inform Commander Sheba and get you your refueling tanker. JustinB my friend, May The Lords Of Kobol be with you."
"Thankyou Sir," I replied
I walked of the bridge and made my way to the Black Squadron baracks. Randrius was on his bunk reading. I gave him his orders to take command of Black Squadron in my abscence. I then went up a few levels to the sick bay.
I wasn't allowed at first to see Brie, but with a gentle bit of persuasion I was allowed in, only if it was for ten centons. I took Brie's hand and placed in mine. I could feel the eyes of the blackshirts upon me but I blocked it out.
"Brie," I said out loud even I knew she probably couldn't hear me, "I am off on an important mission. I want you too know that. Please come back from wherever you are. You are needed here, I need you." I sat there looking at her lifeless face waiting to see if she might have heard me.

Brie looked like she was in total peace. I hoped against hope, that she would be safe while I was gone. The fact that there were still a few of Pierce’s followers still alive made me feel uneasy. Most of all, the one called Chip. Oh how good it felt to hit him and fell him with a single blow. He had been shackled to the sick bay, supposedly with vision problems caused by my blow.
I also hoped by the time I returned, that is if I returned she would be walking around as if nothing happened. I knew how I felt, but I didn’t really know how she felt. Maybe we would only be just friends, I didn’t know. If it went further, well it would make me a happy man.
I looked at her one last time and bent over and kissed her on the cheek. Once again, I went into the drawer and picked up the Black Squadron patch I had given her. I placed it on her open hand and closed it. I stood up slowly and made my way to the door and turned to face her.
“Brie, May the Lords Of Kobol guide you in the right direction. Stay strong and do as you must.” With that I opened the room door and left without looking back. I marched straight past the Blackshirts and walked towards my office. My thoughts were of Brie, but the closer I got to my office they turned towards the mission. I reached my office quicker than I thought. I looked around to see what was in there. It was bare but for a few essentials. Being a warrior made one think about others more rather than ones self. I went over to the locker and grabbed a small bag that contained some water containers and some rations. I slung it over my shoulder and picked up my helmet.
As I walked into the launch bay, I saw that my viper was prepped and ready to go. It even had the two missiles which I had requested. I climbed up and stashed my rations away. I then walked around and did an external pre-flight inspection of the viper to make sure everything was alright. When that was completed I climbed inside the cockpit and made myself comfortable. The co-ordinates of the asteroids I had to investigate were being downloaded into my viper’s computer. I acknowledged the co-ordinates transfer and closed the canopy. The steps were rolled away and I was given the all clear by the crew chief.
Looking around at all the Black Squadron vipers I pondered how many times I had launched from this bay. Firing up the three engines, I hit the turbo’s and in a matter of microns I was in space. Switching on the autopilot, my Scarltett Class Viper veered on course towards the asteroids. Moments later, I noticed the fuel probe launching and making its way in the same direction as I was. Hopefully, I wouldn’t need it but if I did I knew I would be able to rejoin the fleet.

"JustinB's launched, Sir," said Geenie to Major Lucian. "He's on his way."
"Good," said Lucian. "Get me a channel to him." Moments later, when the link was connected, Lucian said, "JustinB, sorry I didn't get to speak with you about this before you left the Bridge. If you run into anything Cylon out there, or anything else threatening for that matter, remember the lessons we learned at Pauvwell in that rockpile. We blew our way through those asteroids by bumping them out of the way with deflecting shots, but before we figured that out, we created a lot of shrapnel flying trying to blow them up. If you get in a tight spot, enough of that debris hitting a Raider can do as much damage as a well placed turbo laser shot...."

While the rest of Black squadron was on furlon, I decided to get situated and report back to Justin B. I was the new guy and allthough I would normally love to be on furlon. I wanted to start my new adventure. I got squared away and set out to find the Major. I ended up following a trail from his quarters, through engineering and finally to Randrius. It was rather intriguing that Justin B had been sent on a one man mission. I convinced Randrius to let me go on a routine scouting mission. (not so routine) And if I happened to run into the Major, well that was always a possibility. I proceeded to the launch bay where Justin B had launched a few centons before me and after launching began following his trail
