It had been a relaxing furlon that was well needed. The events leading up to the trial, the subsequent tribunal and to top it off the mutiny took a lot out of me. I finally felt recharged and ready to get back to business. After reading the report from RaycerX, I put out the word I needed to see our newest Ensign, Kaneli.
While I waited, I put my office back into order. RaycerX, had his own way of organising an office. I fired of a quick message to Major Lucian as I wanted to discuss the events surrounding the mutiny. I wanted to be brought up to speed on any new developments.
Checking my message pile, I saw that someone had attempted to take Brie's life once again. I was concerned, but first things first. Checking over Kaneli's academy results, I was happy that it was still turning out good warriors.

In the engineering office, Lucian received JustinB's message. He sent a short note in reply:
Justin,
Hope you had a great furlon. I'm swamped at the effort with repair and refueling efforts, particularly with the loss of Colonel Charybdis. I'm very disappointed to hear that he's left us, and even more disappointed to find that those of us who are left have even more to do! The Commander has split his responsibilities between Dr. CureMode, Major Joey, and me, so swing by to say hello when you can. Let's get together for breakfast in a few cycles when I'm a little more caught up.
Thanks,
Lucian

As I walk down the corridor on my way to JustinB's office I have this uncontrollable feeling that my life is going in a whole new direction. I have been waiting for this chance and now it is before me. I want this to be my opportunity, something that I start and finnish. It feels like every decision in my entire life has always been forced upon me. Either by family or by the Cylons. But, now it is my turn to make my own way and chose my own destiny. But deep within me I get this feeling that when I step through JustinB's door I am going to loose control of my life yet again. Because that feeling is the same one I have always felt, for I know that the Lords of Kobol have much more intended for my life. I don't know what it is, but they are leading me to a new destiny. I walk up to JustinB's door. The door beeps inside JustinB's office.

No sooner as the door chimed that someone was at my office door, I motioned them in.
"Ensign Kaneli reporting as ordered Sir"
"At ease Ensign," I said, Extending my hand, "Welcome to Black Squadron. Please sit down." Ensign Kaneli did so. Taking a deep breath I continued. "Ensign, I can see you had an interesting time in the academy. But before we proceed, I want to know about you in your own words, not whats written in your file. For instance, why choose to be a warrior and say an engineer instead." It would be interesting to see what he would say as I needed to know how each individual ticked.

After getting what I wanted from Ensign Kaneli, I turned to him, "Ensign, we have just gone through a minor turbulent time aboard the Callisto. Please remember always what it is to be a warrior. Dismissed."
With that Kaneli left my office. I looked at the report I had written about the agro-ship. There was something missing, so I rectified it in an official message to Commander Sheba.
Commander Sheba Commanding Officer Battlestar Callisto
Commander, In light of the incident that happened on the agro-ship, I wish to add the following. Even though Ensign Dolet's and my own actions were pivotal aboard the agro-ship, we would not have been successful if it wasn't for the quick thinking of Security Officer Ange. I believe his contacting us and securing our arrival aboard the vessel is worthy of something. I would like to propose that he be given a commendation/citation of the highest level for his bravery and actions.
Sincerely
Major JustinB Commanding Officer Black Squadron.
Ange deserved it and I hoped he would be rewarded.

Time passed slowly as I caught up with my paperwork. Finally when I finished I decided to make my way to the Officers Club for a drink and a meal.
Strolling down the corridor, I passed people I knew and said hello to as I passed. As I entered the O'Club I saw it was basically empty. I ordered a meal and when I was poured an ale, I asked it to be replaced with a juice. The bartender gave me a weird look but did as I asked. I slowly ate my meal and drunk my drink. Most of Black Squadron had been placed on furlon. I wondered what I would do with myself.
I thought I would look up on Major Lucian and see what he was up too. After that I would check on Brie and see what news the doc had on her. I finished my meal and drink and left some cubits on the table as I left.
I had never really been to the Engineering Office before, so I had to ask a member my crew chief. Following his directions, I finally made it to Engineering. I stepped in and hoped Major Lucian was in.

Engineering Tech Trispin was on duty in the Engineering Office when Major JustinB entered. As he was having trouble keeping his eyes focused on the screens, he was quite surprised that the person walking in was, one, a Warrior, and two, a Squadron Leader at that. Young Trispin snapped to attention as he exclaimed, "Major! Can I help you, Sir?"
"Is Major Lucian on duty?" JustinB asked.
"He's on duty, Sir, but he's currently on assignment on the Bridge 'cause the Colonel quit. Not sure when he'll be back down here since, last I heard, they're tracking some sorta crisis up there." Trispin stiffled a yawn, hoping that he hadn't been caught. To get rid of the officer as quickly as possible, Trispin added, "I'm sure he'd be glad to speak with you there."

So Major Lucian was on the bridge. I nodded to the Engineering Tech and walked out. I made my way to the bridge. I hoped that there was some kind of mission coming up as I was becoming a little stale. If I had one flaw, it was that I hated to be idle. Worst case scenario, I could be asked to be placed on deep probe or something.
After ascending several levels, I arrived at the bridge. I hadn't been on the bridge much in my career, but maybe I should make a habit to visit once in a while. As I entered, I could see Lieutenant Finky busy at her station. Over at the Command Console stood Major Lucian. He looked up, saw me and waved me over.
"Good to see you JustinB. What could an old tired warhorse do for you?" He asked.
"Well Sir, I was just coming to see you over the incident over at the agroship. I have been waiting to be debriefed about it. Nothing has happened, so I was wondering whether there was going to be one? Secondly, is there anything on the board at the moment?"

Lucian was quite glad to see his friend. "JustinB, I think Lt. Colonel Rees, head of Fleet Security is handling the debriefings on that." Lucian rolled his eyes at the thought of the domineering Security chief. Rees had never been a fan of the Warrior Corps, but he'd advanced over time and had learned to work with them...to a degree. "Good luck!"
Turning to the monitor, he said, "We've got a couple of situations going now. We've got an unidentified and evidently manned Viper, which appears to be from Gold Squadron, being towed in to Beta Bay by Ensign Dolet. Unfortunately, there's a chance it's a Cylon trap, since we haven't been able to reach the pilot, who appears to be injured."
"Cylon?" asked JustinB. "I'd hoped we'd lost them."
"Yeah, me, too. But, with all the delays in escaping from Darjeelene, they could have most of their fleet here by now," groused Lucian. "Which," he said pointing to a little blip on the edge of the screen, "brings us to this little thing. Could be Cylon, but we haven't been able to tell what it is yet, much less identify it yet." Lucian pointed to several small asteroids nearby and added, "It would take a good swing, but this group of rocks would give a small scout party some cover while they got close enough to see what that thing is, or more probably, those things are. I understand that Black Squadron's on furlon at the moment and I don't want to cheat your Warriors of their well deserved rest, so I'm planning to pass this along to one of the other Squadrons...."
Lucian let it hang at that, anticipating JustinB's response.

"..I understand that Black Squadron's on furlon at the moment and I don't want to cheat your Warriors of their well deserved rest, so I'm planning to pass this along to one of the other Squadrons...."
Lucian let it hang at that, anticipating my response.
"Well Sir, If all you need is a single pilot, I'm your man. I can be ready in a centar as I would have to post some orders. Can probably get you a second Warrior if needed, but if you want a bigger flight Well, you know.." I said leaving it at that.
I figured that for such a mission, they would only need one pilot, for if cylons were encountered he would have to lead them away from the fleet.
