I thought it might be interesting to post where we are at this point in our lives, and maybe look back at what we post in a year and see what's changed. What we do for a living, how family life is, what we do for fun, our dreams.... pretty much anything you want to say!
* * *
My life is quite busy! I work full time servicing a route and calling on business clients, and on weekends I work 12 hour shifts as a waitress. It's a lot of hours but it's a routine. I'm trying to build a nestegg but I can't seem to get too far with it in spite of all the hours I put in.
Things are good for me these days. I share an apartment with Ashley, the love of my life. We've been together so long I have a hard time relating to my life before I met her. I've finally paid for my dream car, a Sebring convertible that used to belong to someone I know. I loved that car and I knew how well he took care of it that I had to get it when he was going to sell it. I can't believe it's mine now!
In my free time I play volleyball, run and do yoga. I've become pretty good at v-ball, not too bad for an anti-jock who used to run away from the ball in gym class. It's become my biggest outlet for relief from the stresses of life.
Where do I want to be in a year from now? Looking back and seeing my hard work paying off, and more in love than ever. I'd also like to be on a v-ball team that wins for a change. And to quit smoking, my second biggest outlet for relief from the stresses of life.....

This is a nice idea Amy! I'm still as boring as ever. We just celebrated our 23rd anniversary earlier this month. I'm writing full time, mostly content for websites. I'm still working on the sequel to the one novel that I had published awhile back, I just haven't had time for the final revisions. I work from home, I love the flexibility. My daughter is now 21. That doesn't seem possible. We are both into walking, we walk about five miles a day. We go through a lot of sneakers! A year from now I'd like to have won the lottery. Since we don't play I doubt that's going to happen. And Amy, I'm glad to hear that you finally got the car paid off! I'd love to be able to say the same thing...

Hi all! Nice idea, Amy. Glad to see you back around here as well!
Most of you know what I've been up to since I post them here!! Our oldest is now 17 and I can't believe it either! She is taking classes at the college where I teach, just a couple. She is dual enrolled since she is still a high school senior. All the kids are homeschooled and my wife does a great job at it.
I am also starting my second year in diaconate formation on my way to being possibly ordained a deacon, but that would not happen until summer of 2016, so there's a long way to go!
I still love Star Wars, BSG and now I am starting to get together an Indiana Jones costume as well!! Does this stuff ever end?? I guess not!!
We have six chickens in the backyard for fresh eggs and two cats indoors and we have settled in nicely to the house we bought this past summer...
Can't really complain.

Alot has happened over the past year for my family and I.......Last October, we had a new baby come into our family. Zoa and I adopted a newborn baby boy wenamed Liam. Got to witness his birth and everything....that has been a BIG change in our family. My oldest son Thad is a Junior this year in hogh school and playing his first year of football as a cornerback and loving every minute of it....hopefully he will keep up his grades with all the extra demands on his schedule.
I retired frim the Air Force May 1st after 21 years. My wife and I bought our house and decided to stay in Virginia since I was offerend a GREAT job in aerospace with REALLY good pay abd benefits.
My wife was diagnosed with colon cancer a few months ago and went through extensive surgery earlier this week to remove the tumors and is recovering....hopefully that will take care of the problem without radiation or further treatment....hopes are high and looks promising.
I am still costuming Star Wars, BSG, "V", mostly....thinking about getting into a superhero costume...maybe Captain Marvel.....haven't decided yet......That isabout it for me though
In a year....I just want my family to enjoy good health and continue to watch my boys grow and develop and take care of my family.....and keep doing the work I love to do to support the defense of this great country we live in.
