"Must be a slow secton in the news business if they are trying to dig up information on who a Warrior is dating."
"Skyler, its not news anylonger, its all gossip. They quit reporting the news along time ago. Of course they will from time to time cover something of interest that could be considered news, but the rest, pure gossip."
"So, JustinB has been seen with a red head. That narrows the search down somewhat." a huge felgercarb eating grin crossed his face. "Wonder if Comeek knows Logan could be cheating on him with a Major."
"You are wrong on so many levels..... and I am going to tell it..."

The techs and general crewmembers that passed Logan in the corridors took one look at her and suddenly found themselves intent on the intricacies of the nearest bulkheads, ceiling joints and the tops of their own boots. The lieutenant did not seem to be in a good mood and her temper was legendary.
"My pet...I'll give him a pet...mangy little piece of felgercarb...there's a pet for him out the nearest airlock..." Logan mumbled, her hair in disarray and her cheeks red from fuming. The farther she had gotten from the brig, the angrier she had become.
Her fists were clenched at her sides as she walked towards the O Club, her right hand intermittently caressing the hilt of her blaster as she seemed to be deciding on, or more likely talking herself out of, a rash course of action.
Taking a few deep breaths, she calmed herself. Barely. Two people walked by, staring at her curiously. The woman stopped and turned to watch her, noting her deep auburn hair hanging almost to her waist. The man, carrying the remains of a broken vid-cam, saw the flushed cheeks of the tall, beautiful Warrior and his mouth fell open.
"Who was that?" N'Rondar said.
Rizou grabbed the man by the shoulder and turned him around. "I don't know. Yet."
N'Rondar fumbled with and almost dropped his camera. "Look, you can't possibly mean to chase down every woman with red hair on this ship. And she didn't look like she was in any mood to be giving an interview."
Rizou scoffed at his reluctance. "Look, you work for me. That Warrior fits the profile and her obvious emotional upset could be a direct result of a lover's quarrel. I owe it to my public to follow up on any leads that come my way."
N'Rondar rolled his eyes and followed the reporter as she tried to catch up with the mystery lieutenant.
Logan didn't notice them. She was too lost in thought. And plans of ripping that insufferable little daggit Comeek into a million pieces. But she knew she had to get it together before she ran into Skyler and Brik. She had no doubt they'd give her a hard time about Comeek's summons and she wouldn't be the one to give them more fuel for their fire.

Sergeant Eridanus waited by the Star Deck Door, while inside,Triton added the finishing touches to the dining table. A dinner cart sat at the side of the table with two meals covered by silver lids. A bottle of the finest Ambrosa was kept on ice, and a crystal vase from the dining room held a bouquet of flowers in wait for it's recipient.
"Let me know when she arrives Erid", said Triton as he peeped out of the door to his friend.
"Sure thing Triton..don't worry. She's going to love it", Erid smiled.
"Thanks again buddy, I really appreciate this."
"Hey, it's the least I can do for you, after what you did for me, Triton".
"You might have done the same for me, Erid." Triton disappeared back behind the door, after giving a warm arm shake to the sergeant.
Persphone, finally made her way up to zeta deck by the elevator. Stepping out, she walked slowly down the broad hallway, looking for a sign for the Star Deck Dinning room.
How in all the twelve worlds did Triton manage to get access to the Star Deck? she wondered to herself.
The Star Deck was reserved for the Commanders when dinning with the Quorum of Twelve or other key personnel, on the Callisto. Most other higher ranking officers, had access to use the dinning room for low key dinner meetings, or for a more private setting for personal use.
Triton I sure do hope you have clearance to use it, she thought in an almost prayer-like way.
Meanwhile, Triton straightened the silverware slightly, wanting everything to be perfect. He then took a remote control and pressed a button, and simultaneously as soft pleasant music filled the room, the lights were dimmed for an ambient atmosphere.
The long and large window in the room held a breathtaking view of a magnificent starfield, rich with glittering stars.
No wonder they call it the "Star Deck", he said to himself quietly, filled with an awe at the heavens outside, as his blue eyes gazed in amazement. It was almost as though the stars were shining right into the room. He thought of Persephone, her long hair with those mesmerizing streaks of honey gold through it, and her eyes, that sparkled alike to the emerald jewels set into the fine parure that were worn by their ancient Lords of Kobol. He couldn't wait to see her.

Taking a deep breath and taking Brie's hand I replied, "Well, the idea of dating an older woman is something new. I guess having a life experienced partner is a great thing. It doesn't bother me. I love you and thats all that matters. As for Amy, if we did get sealed having a ready made family is great. We would be a family. For us to start one would be nice but be a little difficult as you would have to be out of action for a while. With Amy we would have it."
I moved closer and placed my arm around Brie and placed her head on my shoulder. I hoped mentioning possibly taking the seal in the future didn't scare her off. I looked into her eyes to try and see what she was thinking.

An officer stood up ahead by a grand door, Persephone wondered who he could be. She hoped he was not there to deny her access to the Star Deck. She took a deep breathe and straightened her shoulders.
Erid saw a pretty woman in a light yellow flowing dress approaching. "Are you Lieutenant Persephone?"
"Yes I am, sir." A sergeant ,oh frack, she thought feeling a little unsure of what he was about to say.
"Triton described you to me. He's waiting for you inside." Persephone let out a sigh of relief. Erid pressed a button on the wall comm to inform his friend inside, that Persephone had arrived.
"Thanks Erid. Won't you tell her to come in. Thanks again buddy", replied Triton's voice.
"Hope you two have a real nice evening", said Erid pleasantly to her. She smiled and said thank you to him.
Before she knew it, the door opened and she stepped inside to find Triton looking every bit as handsome as the first day she met him. She thought he looked like a handsome god that just descended from a heavenly abode. There he stood, dressed in a ceremonial cape and finery.
The dress uniform once belonged to his late father, Sire Cadmus, who also trained in his youth with the academy, but resigned from the military when he married Siress Berenices, taking up a career in law, so he could have more time with his wife and family. Triton had taken his father's uniform, and some of his mother's best jewelry for sentimental reasons when he fled his home in Virgon City from the Cylon attacks.
The starfield outside the window twinkled behind him, music filled the room , and soft candles glowed all around.
"Well, good evening Persephone. Welcome to the Star Deck", he said in his most formal tone.
She looks like the goddess of spring, he thought, almost spellbound by her image in a soft delicate dress imbued with the colour of sunshine.
"Good evening Triton. This place looks like a dream right out of Eden. It's beautiful, Triton!", she gasped with awe.
Triton walked over to her and took her by the hands, leading her to the dining table. "You're more beautiful Pers." She didn't know just how romantic he could be. All of this afternoon's unpleasant events would soon be a faint memory.
"These are for you", he said as he drew her eyes to the bouquet of flowers on the table. "Oh Triton, they're just lovely. It's been a long time since I've had fresh flowers to enjoy. Thank you so much".
"You deserve flowers every day". They locked eyes, and she became lost in his gaze.
As they sat down to begin their meal, Triton explained that the flowers were some of his Mother's favourites. "These ones are Asters. They used to grow in abundance in my mother's garden in our home, on Virgon. She always picked them to put in the house.
Persephone listened with interest about Triton's memories of his family and home.
"Oh, and these are snow blossoms. They somehow managed to bring their bulbs and re-grow new ones on the agro ship. My parents had a mountain chalet up in the Virgoan Alps. We often vacationed there when I was very little. I can remember how at the very start of spring, these tiny snow lilies would pop up wherever the snow was melted, and new grass was growing again. "
He stopped for micron to recall his days as a young boy.
"I used to pick them and bring them into the chalet for my mother. She loved them too. I guess I was fascinated at how such a small thing could still come forth after heavy snow. It always reminded me of God's tiniest miracles, and new life".
They dinned and drank fine Ambrosa, and talked for centares without interruption for the first time. They both felt as though they were a million metrons away from the Callisto. It didn't even feel like they were still on it.
Persephone was intoxicated by the backdrop of the present galaxy's stars, and the music, and candles and the scent of the flowers, she was the happiest she'd been for many sectars.
After dinner, they danced for the first time. It felt good to have his arms locked around her, she felt safe. Everything felt right. She didn't want to be haunted by the ghosts of the past anymore. She only wanted to move forward beginning with this evening, this moment, and with Triton.
She was letting go of Chiron once and for all. Perhaps they were never meant to be. "Pers", Triton whispered into her ear, as they danced slowly, "I almost forgot to tell you my news."
"What is it?"
"Just as I was about to leave my billet after getting dressed to come up here earlier, an officer acting on behalf of Major Brie, as I was informed she was busy this evening, came to present me with my new insignia. I've been promoted to Lieutenant".
"Oh, Tri! that's so wonderful! Congratulations!" Smiling and hugging, they continued celebrating their double joy. "Cleaning Turbo Flushes really pays off..." he added with a cheeky grin.
After an amazing time, Triton and Persephone decided it was time to be heading for sleep period, and so they made their way back down to beta deck, back to the humming of the Callisto and her routines and duty, and everybody else. Persephone felt like she just returned from a dreamy cloud among the stars.
Holding hands, Triton walked his goddess back to her billet. But he indeed didn't want the evening to end there. He wished he could scoop her up in his arms and carry her off to a private bed chamber. But despite his sometimes unabashed sense of humour, he was raised by aristocratic parents. And he was taught by his father to be a gentleman, as young as he still was, during his short life on the Virgon. He respected Persephone too much to rush things. Though, they had just confessed to one another during dinner, that they were falling in love with each other, and they shared more than a dozen lingering kisses tonight, he still knew how to treat a lady.
Reaching gold squadron's quarters, they stopped and kissed once more before they bade goodnight, and separated to enter their billets.
Just as Persephone entered her barrack, she saw another bouquet of flowers on the table in the room.
She looked to see if Misty was already asleep in her bunk. Obviously she was tired from Lt Flell's simulator training today, she was curled up under her blanket in a deep sleep. After all, it was almost 0:00 centares.
Most of the women were asleep. Save a few still reading, but close to dropping off too.
She came closer to the flowers on the table. Setting down the bouquet Triton had given her next to the others, she lifted the tag attached to the powder blue satin ribbon around the new flowers.
TO PERSEPHONE, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PROMOTION ONCE AGAIN. THOUGHT AN EXPERT FLORAN MAJOR, LIKE YOU, MIGHT LIKE THESE. THEY SAY LILY OF THE VALLEY SYMBOLIZES A RETURN TO HAPPINESS. I HOPE THESE MIGHT RETURN THAT VERY HOPE FOR YOU. WISHING YOU SUPREME HAPPINESS IN ALL THINGS
YOUR NEW FRIEND, LYSANDER.
She couldn't believe her eyes. But she was flattered by the sweet gesture from Lysander. Pink Lily of the Valley, she recognized them only too well, as they were a native flower on Piscon that Siress Europa taught her about. And one of her favourites. She would have to graciously thank him for the gesture. Though she was not sure how Triton would feel if he knew about this. She loved the ones he had given to her, and cherished them. But how Lysander knew she was fond of the lilies, she could not figure. She had talked about some of her favourite things, but was he psychic after all?
She felt strangely connected to Lysan. But very much falling for Triton.
She yawned, and decided it was high time to catch her sleep period.

Getting sealed? Starting a family? Where did those ideas come from? Maybe it was because their relationship was still in its infancy, but neither of those thoughts had crossed Brie's mind. Or maybe it was because she had already experienced both, even though she hadn't raised her daughter. Her sealing had been wonderful, but it had also almost cost her everything. After all these yahrens she had finally found happiness again, but everything had happened so quickly. JustinB had told her on the Starliner Alpha that if things were moving too fast she needed to let him know. Now it was time to see if he was a man of his word. "I know you're speaking hypothetically," she started slowly, "but that's a place that I'm not yet ready to even think about. As I said before, I'm living in the moment. I want as many of those moments as possible to include you, because I love you and I love being with you. But a long-term future? Every time I start to think that way, something happens and my life falls apart. What we have is wonderful, and I just want to sit back and enjoy getting to know each other better. Then as our relationship grows and evolves, well, then maybe we can discuss other ideas." She hoped she hadn't just ruined everything.

I couldn't help laughing. I didn't think I meant getting sealed right away. I pulled Brie closer.
"I'm sorry Brie. I should have explained myself a little better. I didn't mean to infer I was ready to be sealed. I agree with you, we still have a lot to do and experience with each other. I told you before, we will take things as fast or as slow as you want. I mean why ruin something as beautiful as relationship. Sweetheart, I know in my heart I love you and whatever happens, happens. I am not going to rush into being sealed as it is something I would hold dear. But when and if we get to that stage in the relationship it will be because we both want too." I planted a kiss on her cheek.

JustinB kissed Brie on the cheek as she let out a sigh on relief. "Don't do that to me again," she teased. "Remember, I'm a lot older than you are. You could give me a heart attack." They kissed again. JustinB then sat back, and Brie relaxed against him. He put his arms around her. Neither of them said anything for several microns. "This is about as close to perfect as life gets," Brie remarked. She closed her eyes, hoping that she could somehow stop time.

Walking into the O Club, more calm than a few microns ago, Logan spotted Skyler and Brik sitting at a table near a viewport on the other side of the room. Brik waved her over.
She had barely taken a step in their direction when a voice called out behind her, "Lieutenant? Do you have a micron?"
Turning, Logan recognized the man and woman she had passed in the corridor earlier. The woman's face was flushed as if she had been running and the man with the vid-cam seemed to be panting as he rested his hand on the wall inside the doorway.
Logan glanced back at Brik and Skyler, who both had broad grins on their faces. Brik had settled back in his chair, arms folded across his massively muscled torso, with an gleefully expectant look on his face as if waiting for a show to start.
"Oh boy," Logan muttered as she returned her attention to the woman who had called her. If they look this happy about it, this can't be good.
The woman ran a hand over her hair and attempted to straighten her suit as she beamed at Logan in a very friendly fashion. "I'm Roxana Rizou, reporter for the IFB. But, I'm sure you recognize me."
Logan sized up the woman quickly and came to the conclusion that the smirk and facade of professionalism were good covers for a devious and unlikeable personality.
"Ms. Rizou, if this is about the last mission, I'm sorry but that information has to be cleared by the Commander, so if you'll excuse me..." Logan had hardly moved to step away when a hand closed on her arm. She looked down at the bony hand and up into the woman's intense gaze, raising her eyebrow.
Something in Logan's stare told the reporter to remove her hand, which she did as she came to stand on the other side of Logan, between her and the two Warriors who were on the edge of their seats at their table. Logan could see them over Rizou's shoulder and the expression of delight on Brik's face almost made her forget her irritation at the reporter's brusque familarity. Almost.
Taking a decidely more humble tone, Rizou asked, "What is your name, Lieutenant?"
"Lt. Logan. Gold Squadron."
Rizou peered at the man with her as he fumbled with the vid-cam which was obviously broken, the lenses twisted at an angle. He shrugged his shoulders at Rizou as she continued, "Lt. Logan, do you know Major JustinB?"
Logan was flummoxed. "Yes. He's CO of Black Squadron. Why?"
Rizou seemed disappointed with Logan's reaction, but barely hesitated. "I am working on a story about him and a ...mystery redhead who was seen in his company on the Starliner Alpha." As she said the words mystery redhead her eyes darted to Logan's long hair which had a decidely reddish tint.
It all became clear to Logan then and she saw movement behind Rizou as Skyler and Brik had moved to a table closer to the conversation. Skyler winked at Logan and she almost laughed at the absurdity of the situation. Here she was, furious over being the object of Comeek's unwanted affections and now this ridiculous woman thought she was JustinB's newfound love interest. My imaginary love life is so much more interesting than reality.
Logan bit her lip and tried to ignore Skyler and Brik's pleased faces behind the reporter. She was going to have to hurt them. She just knew it. She even wondered if they hadn't been responsible for putting Rizou on her trail in the first place. There certainly were far more likely redheaded candidates in the Fleet than Logan to have a rendezvous with the dashing young Major. They had barely exchanged more than a few words as they were in different squadrons and rarely crossed paths.
But Rizou didn't know that.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Rizou, but I have no idea what you're talking about." Logan made a point to let her eyes wander around the room uncertainly and refused to meet the woman's eyes with her own.
Rizou looked as if someone had poked her with an electric bovine prod. She implored N'Rondar with her eyes to get the vid-cam working, but he only made half-hearted attempts at fiddling with the lens adjuster.
"Now, Lt. The Fleet is very curious about our Warriors and the sacrifices they make in serving the Fleet. If we could do a story on the unlikely love affair of two Warriors, caught up in the drama of their duties, fighting for love and survival...well, the Fleet would gain hope from such an unlikely romance."
Logan almost laughed, but controlled herself. She saw Skyler wiping tears as he silently chuckled behind them and Brik's face looked like it would crack if he smiled any broader.
Logan furrowed her brow as if considering Rizou's words. "Yes. Yes, I see your point. But...what's the point in having a secret relationship with a superior officer if you can't keep it a secret? That thing is generally frowned upon, you know. And different squadrons on top of that?"
Rizou almost looked like she was drooling, her eyes wide. "Are you admitting that you are the mystery woman then?"
"I am admitting no such thing. I'm merely saying that the last person I'd tell a secret to would be the IFB. Now, if you'll excuse me." And she brushed past the woman to join Skyler and Brik at the table. Rizou looked like she was going to follow, but seeing the stern looks that Skyler and Brik threw in her direction, she changed her mind.
Turning to N'Rondar, she grabbed the man by his sleeve and half-drug him over to the bar where they sat with their heads together in animated conversation.
"I can't believe you did that." Skyler said. He was laughing again. "You know she won't give you a micron's peace now."
Logan signaled to the server to bring her her usual. "I know, but I'm looking at it this way. JustinB will owe me a favor. It'll get her off the real lady's back for a while and I've dealt with far worse than that reporter."
Brik clapped her on the shoulder, a little too forcefully as she had to brace herself not to fall off her chair. "You are a hopeless romantic. Despite your efforts to act to the contrary."
Logan nodded as the server handed her the drink and she sat back, sipping the cool fluid and crossing one leg over the other. "You'll never be able to prove it."
"You seem pretty relaxed for someone juggling a Major in another squadron and a murderous traitor locked in the brig." Skyler couldn't help himself.
Logan just shot him a stern look and chose to ignore the comment. Which of course meant that he had another one. "So, who'd you wear your hair down for? Comeek or JustinB?"
Logan punched him in the arm as Brik laughed.

Brie stretched and yawned, slowly opening her eyes. She glanced around, and smiled as she saw her sleeping lover. They had fallen asleep on her sofa. She squinted and glanced across the room at her chrono.
"Frack," she said out loud. She gently shook JustinB's shoulder to wake him up. "JustinB, we overslept. We have the briefing on the next system in less than a centar!" JustinB got up immediately. Brie checked outside in the hallway to make sure that no one was coming, then they quickly said goodbye. Even though she knew the answer Brie checked to see if Amy had come home. She put on a pot of coffee then grabbed a very quick turbowash, hoping to work out the crick in her neck.
