you should know, in the books, Voyager was refitted and Chicotay is the new captain.
Also, I love the whole ST universe, there have been some disapointments, but still love it.
And just so you know, the time line in ST has never really been set so anything goes.

Well I can tell you this for what it is worth.. I am the biggest Star Trek fan on here and probably anywhere else in this world.....my life long dream has been to take over the world... no punn on "pinky and the brain" intended.... and make starfleet a reality..but hey i am a little crazy you know ... oh and don't worry there would be plenty of battlestars flying around too...hehehe.... Being the star trek fan I am .... my favorites will always be the old series and movies.. there is just something about them... and star trek 2 was so "star trek" it was perfect.... star trek 5 was funny, endearing and really showed the strength of the trios relationship... and star trek 6 was a mystery... that to me is the best of both worlds for me.... I love star trek and I love mysteries......the next generation was good and in time I learned to love it..... I liked ds9..but cant see a movie there.... I loved voyager... but janeway was to spineless and the show was a little to politically correct for me... I felt the same about the next generation.. Picard was to politically correct.. he was no James Tiberius Kirk.. and I am not saying that you have to have that in every continuation, but the whole point of Star Trek was that these people made a difference even when the beaurocrasy didnt want them to... I wasnt all that keen on Enterprise.. I felt that Star Trek had been held together so well and they had spent all those years building that star trek universe, why would you want to muck it up... to much re-writing of star trek history and it didn't fit with the rest of the series they it sprang from.... one thing is that in the books.... the Enterprise ncc-1701 was the first real Earth starship of its kind...the design and everything was totally different from anything that had ever been made by the federation... yet in enterprise they have this ship that wow..looks just like the enterprise of the future...except it is even more advanced... its just not believable and it goes off of the historical perspective so many series, movies and books have built with impeccable timelines and details... but hey that just me...the same guy who while he and his dad were driving down the ranch road one day talking..out of the clear blue sky his dad made the following statement.....and I quote... "son, you do know Star Trek isn't real right?"
my reply "yes father.. I know its not real, but why can't it be?"
