Gee, Amy, how nice of you to give me the opportunity to talk about my Rick Springfield obsession! I was just listening to www.trademydisc.com/rickspringfieldradio.html where every 4th song they play is Rick Springfield. Right before him a little while ago they played some girl named Avril Something-or-other... She sounds like she has an attitude. Okay, besides RS, I like a little bit of everything, besides country, hip hop, or Barry Manilow. I used to be a DJ and played all kinds of different music, everything from Big Bands to contemporary Christian (different stations) and I have to admit that I miss it. I also love classical. And soundtracks. John Williams is my hero. I am in awe of the man.

My favorite band is Def Leppard hands down. Just look at the history. They fire a guitar player for excessive drinking and having an attitude (Pete Willis), the drummer gets in a car accident and loses an arm and comes back better than ever (Rick Allen) and a different guitar player drinks himself to death (Steven Clark R.I.P.) replaced by Vivian Cambell. I respect the heck outta those guys.
As for my tastes I'm pretty diversified. I mainly like the 80's hair band music. But I also like the classics (Pink Floyd, The Who,Moody Blues,ELP,The Stones,etc...)

Cool, Hawke...my favorite music is still the glam rock/ hair bands of the late 1980s! I must have gone to over 100 concerts during that time...
Most of my faves are smaller, more little known bands such as TNT, White Lion, Danger Danger and Stryper...
Right now, I listen to my Star Wars soundtracks and BSG soundtrack, of course.

Al,
Somehow I never pictured you as a Stryper fan!

Stryper rocks!!! My first concert ever was White Lion opening for Stryper on their "In God We Trust" tour. I had 6th row center. Still have the drumsticks Robert Sweet gave me.
Lost $50 to a guitar player from Trixter (name escapes me right now) shooting pool.

Favorite movies...that covers a wide range of genres, but I'll give it a shot.
BG, the original of course Star Wars 4, 5 & 6
Dune the original with Kyle M., but the Sci-Fi mini would have to be up there too. The sets were totally hokey, but I thought they did a fairly decent job following the books. I'm hoping they finish the series.
The first Matrix was great, the second was promising, but the third was a real let down.
And, for a blast from the past, Pillow Talk, Father Goose, North By Northwest, To Catch a Thief, Singing in the Rain and I've just got to watch Holiday Inn and White Christmas during the holidays. The list could go on and on.
My favorite TV shows, BG the original, Miami Vice, Nash Bridges, Friends, That 70's Show, 24, Will & Grace
My favorite bands? Def Leppard, Genesis, The Eagles, Simon and Garfunkle, The Monkeys...can you tell I'm eclectic?
Peace,
Kat

80s wackos, huh???
you know what's cool. On my satellite service, they have a bunch of Sirius satellite radio channels and I am stoked about the Hair Nation channel which features all of the glam-metal bands of the time!!! It is cool. I relive 80s every day!!!!!

We get Serius as well, but I listen to the 70s station. They play a lot of great songs that our 70s radio station never plays. And get this, one of the DJs is Barry Williams aka Greg Brady. lol
Peace,
Kat

Okay, this may be a little late, but since it makes me think of you 80's wacko people, I thought I'd bring it up!
There's a band called Bowling For Soup. Their new CD just came out. There's a single out called '1985' that makes me think of you guys every time I heard it!! It's a fun song, way way WAY too catchy and I love it. Maybe you've heard it? It makes a whole bunch of 80's references... reminds me of you guys.
But isn't it comforting to know I think of you guys daily? It might be what keeps me around these days!
Now go back to Stryper...
