I've read on other message boards that people are complaining about James Earl Jones and his acting in this one, especially the "Nooo!" at the end. In his defense, this isn't the Darth Vader that we meet at the beginning of A New Hope. This is Anakin, turned half machine, learning that everything he's done because of his love for Padme didn't matter. (How killing kids to keep your own kid safe is a totally different topic.) If you listen to JEJ, his delivery of his few lines is the same way that you could almost picture Hayden C saying them, including the "no." I personally think it's brilliant, and James Earl Jones is really, really cool.
But I do want to hear other opinions, which is why I brought up the topic.

I have also heard some rumblings about the "nooo" scream... Man, it doesn't bother me.. Imagine if you just found out all that Anakin did and to be locked behind the mask forever. I would be screaming like that too!!!

Well Brie,
You hit the nail on the head. People are used to seeing Darth Vader as pure evil with no feelings whatsoever. The whingers don't see that Anakin has just been transformed in the mechanical monster he now is. As Anikan, he had a vision of Padme dying in childbirth.
As the mechanical Darth Vader, he found out that the vision did come true. Not only did it come true but her death was caused by his own hands. As Yoda said, visions especially of the future is caused by emotion and are unreliable. Anikans vision was so incomplete it wasn't funny. If he had taken Yoda's advice and learn to let go and feel good that whoever he saw dying was being made part of the force, he might not have chosen to seek some way to stop her from dying. In doing that, Palpatine would have had to find some other way to tempt Anakin(But thats another tangent altogether)
In summary considering the storyline, James Earl Jones's acting was spot on.

I think all of the actors did a great job. I just didn't get the whole kill everyone to save one person thing

Anakin was manipulated into the "Kill everyone to save one person" phase by Papatine/Sidious. In the beginning,Anakin just wanted to save Padme. As Palpatine saw Anakin's weakness, he preyed on Anakin's fears with lies & false promises.
Hope this clears somethings up.

Oh I know and understand that. But I just thought it was way to shallow. I guess it was just a let down to me, because I am such an avid fan of Star Wars. This was the only Star Wars movie I have not liked and to me it was a big let down. But, hey that's just my opinion.
