It was very good and it is worth seeing. It is a movie you can take childen to. However perhaps I say 8 or older. Some of it is a little scary for young ones.

My oldest child loved it, and my middle one thought it was good though she was the one who'd read all the books. I had baby-sitting duty, so, like so many other movies, will probably catch it on video...eventually.
