OK everyone, this is the announcement I was waiting to make once I got back from my vacation. I got a new computer recently and with it, some nice new software and gadgets and I decided to make a short little epic based upon our Callisto universe. It sort of reminds us of what could have been if they had named the show "Battlestar Callisto" instead of Galactica! It's a little bit rough, but you get the idea. Please go to the downloads section of www.battlestarcallisto.net and check out "Planet of No Return." It's running time is 5:31 and the entire thing is 25 MB. So you might want to have a faster computer to download and view it...you can also download each scene one at a time for a smaller chunk of time if you wish...(there are 5 main scenes to it overall) I hope you enjoy this first ever Battlestar Callisto episode!

I tried, but it was too much for my slow computer and phone modem to handle. Oh well.

Charybdis,
That was excellent! The download worked great (Thanks, Hawke!), and I was very pleased with the way you were able to blend the stock footage with your new shots. Keep up the great work!

I tried, but it was too much for my slow computer and phone modem to handle. Oh well. Brie, If I could do it, you can do it... I'm one of the few people still on dialup and I downloaded all of the individual files AND the archive (when i was testing the downloads) in a little under 4 hours... You just have to take it one file at a time and be patient. If you'd like, I can make a CD with the files on it for you & send it to you... Or maybe Al could do it with is new fancy schmancy computer...

Brie, I already have the thing on files on a CD. I believe all you need is Windows Media Player to see the thing. Just send me your address and I can send you a disc in the mail.
If anyone else needs one, let me know and I will send you a copy!

It took me two tries on file 1 and three on file 2, but I am slowing but surely getting it downloaded. I'm working on file 3 as I write this.

Wow! Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I hope you all are not just being nice seeing as to how it was a pretty rinky dink kind of thing, but as a first effort, well, you know how first efforts are right? All I can see were the things I did wrong, messed up, etc. etc...
I am thinking of doing another one but this time totally in a viper cockpit on some space mission. I have a helmet on order and am currently trying to conceive of a way to build a mock up cockpit! Stay tuned...hey Brie, cant' you come on down for a weekend so we can get you into that cockpit too??? And anyone else near the Carolinas for that matter?

Yeah, right, Charybdis, YOU try explaining that one to my husband! By the way, you still owe me a few cubits from that pyramid game...
