I'm not exactly sure why I'm so drawn to this idea, and I admit it's distracted me and for that I'm grateful. I'm sinking way too much time into it, but that's good too. At this exact moment in time, here's what I'd have. Opening Credits: "I hate myself for loving you" Joan Jett Waking Up: "Bring me to life" Evanescence Fight Song: "He Wasn't" Avril Lavigne (Anything ripping by Avril works here. I love her!) Breaking Up: "Where is your heart" Kelly Clarkson Making up: "Broken" Seether Life's Ok: "Don't cha" (group name censored by board, uh...., Kittycat Dolls is pretty close without going over) Mental Breakdown: "Little by little" Oasis (Thinking it over, "All in the mind" by Oasis works too. Is that the title? Too lazy to check. I can hear it now in my head, thank you. Well, it is a breakdown song...!) Driving: "You spin me round" Dead or Alive Flashbacks: "Breathe (2 am)" Anna Nalick Happy Dance: "Tubthumping" by whoever did it! Regretting: "Let it Rain" Amanda Marshall Final Battle: "Pump It" black eyed peas Final Credits: "Unwritten" Natasha Bedingfield So Hawke, is your soundtrack about 95% 80's music? Thanks for such a distracting and interesting topic!

Really cool idea, Hawke! I'm working on mine, I'll try to post it later today.
Although if my life were a movie it would be used an an insomnia cure...

I've actually done mine a little bit differently. Being a huge fan of John Williams (the most talented person born in the past 100 years or more!) I'm constantly fascinated with the way that he can take a few bars of music and the audience will instantly recognize it as a theme for a person, idea, event, etc. So I've kind of used that concept and assigned some songs to certain people, others are generic.
Opening Credits: Star Wars Theme (A New Hope Version)
My Own Personal Theme: The Asteroid Field (from Empire Strikes Back)-John Williams (because life is filled with obstacles to overcome)
Parents/Grandparents/Sisters Theme: We Are Family-Sister Sledge (I know, cliché)
Husband's Theme: 19th Nervous Breakdown-Rolling Stones Daughter's Theme, early years: Isn't She Lovely-Stevie Wonder
Daughter’s Theme, later years: School’s Out-Alice Cooper
Best Friend of 20 Year's Theme: You've Got a Friend-James Taylor
Mother-In-Law's Theme: Somebody's Watching Me-Rockwell
Other Songs to be Played:
On the Radio-Donna Summer I've Done Everything For You; Perfect; Honeymoon in Beirut-Rick Springfield Massachusetts-Bee Gees That's All-Genesis Dream On-Aerosmith I’m in Love With My Car-Queen
Closing Credits: I’ll Be With You-Paul Colman Trio

So Hawke, is your soundtrack about 95% 80's music? Thanks for such a distracting and interesting topic! I was brought up in the 70's & 80's. I like that music. And the 60's music too...My wife says I was born a generation too late. I agree. The original concept came from my brother. I just modified it a little. What it was actually SUPPOSED to be was that you have your Ipod, media player, etc loaded & running on shuffle while writing it and see what song comes up for that particular subject. And your welcome. Brie, I hate to say it, you did it wrong darlin. It was supposed to be the music you normally listen to for your personal soundtrack for you only for the headings I posted. Wanna modify your post?

I don't think there's a wrong way to do this, I just wish more people would try it. I find it really interesting since music is such a personalized thing, and I'm interested in what people pick and curious about the songs I don't know. I'd like to think everyone feels this way but even if you don't, give it a try anyway. And Al, your fanfilms ran longer than two minutes, so your life story would have to run longer, right? Thanks again Hawke! I thought I saw a trend there in your music choices! I tend to be pretty of-the-moment with music, but there's some older stuff I like too. I even snuck a couple of classics in my picks! If you like something, it doesn't matter how old (or new) it is, right? Amy

Looks like it might be fun, but thinking that hard to remember the names of songs would make my brain explode!
