If our members have no organized opinion about the new show, then the Callisto as an organization itself would also have to have no opinion about the new show and then we should just drop any mention of the new show from our FAQ. That would be total harmony!!!

Fine, let's do it! As I've mentioned, we predate the new show, and since the "re-imagining" is so incredibly different than the original, it really has nothing to do with us whatsoever. So we, as a group, have no one opinion, just as we have no one opinion about, oh, I don't know, Bugs Bunny.
But total harmony with this group?

Hello, all!
Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, work has been UGLY. But down to business... The only part of the "statement" that is important to me is the bit that brings to light those that betrayed their word...I say keep it (What would Starbuck do). As for the rest, I think that either version is well-stated and reasonable.
My two cents, --Brik--

Okay, it seems like the line in question is "We have, however, removed links from some web sites who had asked us to spend our time and hard earned money working against the current series, but are now wholeheartedly supporting it." Do we include that line or not? To keep things non-argumentative, PM or email me whether or not you think we should say that.
I'm not saying to end the discussion. By all means, let's keep it going!

I just wanted to remind everyone to let me know (either PM or email) whether or not we should include the line "We have, however, removed links from some web sites who had asked us to spend our time and hard earned money working against the current series, but are now wholeheartedly supporting it." Your opinion is important! Right now it's a tie, and just to warn you, the tiebeaker goes to my dog, and she's just about the dumbest dog I've even seen in my life. So take a minute and drop me a note. Not even a note, a single word. "Yes," (meaning we should include it) or "no," (we should not include it.)

Okay, after what has felt like YEARS, we finally have a majority vote on what we should add to the website. It has been decided by our members that we will add the following on the homepage:
The Battlestar Callisto is a nostalgia group, focusing on the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica series. Our primary means of remembering the original show is through our role-playing game. We, as a group, support a revival of the series with the original cast and themes. We predate the new series, currently running on the Sci-Fi Channel, and have no collective opinion on the show. All that is required to be a member of the Callisto is a love of the original.
We value and respect the opinions of all our members and on the topic of the new series we agree to disagree. We have, however, removed links from some web sites who had asked us to spend our time and hard earned money working against the current series, but are now wholeheartedly supporting it. We welcome all BSG fans regardless of which series they like better to join our game, remembering that it is set in the universe of the 1978 original series. Please see our FAQ or contact a member of core command for information about how to join us.
** Thank you to all of you who shared your opinions, either here or to me personally. I hope that next time we need to hold a vote about something that even more people will get involved. And my dog is disappointed, I didn't have to ask her for her vote.
