I managed to snag a very gracious interview/chat with Richard Hatch. I'm debating how to do this. Please post what you think. Keep in mind, that if you choose chat, there may be conflicting work/home schedules on the part of the Callisto members.

What way does Richard prefer? Tha chance of getting everyone from the Callisto in a chat at one time is slim to none. Maybe you could collect questions from the members, get them to Richard ahead of time and so he will have some prep time. I know I hate being asked questions cold, but I am sure he is a pro at it by now. Then you could set up the interview to meet his standards and get answers to some of the questions.....

Here's what we corresponded so far... E-mail #1: ----------------- Original Message ----------------- From: Hawke Date: Dec 4, 2007 10:27 AM Hi there!!! I don't know if you have heard of a Battlestar Galactica RPG called the Battlestar Callisto, but it is based on the classic series and your books!! Anne Lockhart is our honorary commander (Commander Sheba)... We use her & Apollo as an NPC from time to time as the commanders of the Callisto & Galactica respectively. We would be honored if you could become a member of the Callisto RPG. The Callisto board is the other message board I maintain. You already know about Hawke's Nest. If you're interested the address is: bscallisto.proboards20.comBTW, would either you or Anne like to do an interview via E-mail or a chat? Scott E-Mail #2 ----------------- Original Message ----------------- From: Richard Date: Dec 5, 2007 1:15 AM Hi Scott, Sounds good. And of course, I would love to do an interview with you guys. And consider it an honor that you've invited me to become a member. I'm extremely busy these days working on many of my projects but I would love to be a part of your organization. In any case I send you happy holidays and all the best. Richard E-Mail #3 ----------------- Original Message ----------------- From: Hawke Date: Dec 5, 2007 9:03 AM Outstanding!! Thank you!!! Would you like to do a chat or would you like me to submit to you questions or even some other way (I.E. in person or over the phone?) It is totally up to you. Please let me know!! And happy holidays to you to... Scott And E-mail #4 (which brings me to the poll question..) I'd prefer to do a chat. How would you like to do that. Over the phone or in person. Just let me know and we'll make a plan. All the best. Richard ================================================ So, there you go... He prefers a chat, but is willing to do anything we decide.. I just need to firm up a day & time & method..

Since he prefers a chat, my suggestion is to set it up here, at his convience. People who can't be there (which will be many) can submit questions. When we have the details I'll send a group email out from the hotmail account.
This is a great idea, no matter how we do it. Really, really cool.
(Sidenote: Scott, I noticed the change that you made on the board. Or noticed one change. If you made more than one then I should stop patting myself on the back.)

Ok, dumb question time. I'm good for them, really.
You say 'chat' and it seems you mean as in a Chat Room type of chat. But in Richard's response I'm reading it as he wants to chat in person or on the phone with you like in an interview.
The real time Chat Room type of chat is fine with me, but if he just wants to do it interview style one on one then I think questions from us for you to compile is the better option.
And I could be crazy, but I've been really busy today and am too tired to think. lol

Well, I took it as a live chat (which we can do in the Officer's Club) or interview over the phone/in person... *shrugs* Either way, what ever way we decide on is ok with him...

Fabulous snag, Scott! Richard is a very obliging person and he's just terrific to be happy to do a chat/interveiw with us. Indeed time differences could be a challenge...since when most of you are up and starting the day..I'm still getting my beauty sleep, the day ahead of you...confoozed? ;D... We could figure out the particulars, I'm sure. Anyhoo... a chat would be wonderful. As for on the phone would be equally great, but would there be any particular thing required for this beside a phone? Forgive me if I sound like I'm having a blonde day... ;D

I looked into what would be required to do a phone interview today, and it is doable... It'd cost me about $100 to get the equipment, but I definitely think it's worth the investment. I'd LOVE to be able to get other interviews... And if a one on one in person interview is possible, I already have the equipment to do that.
