Happy 10th Anniversary Battlestar Callisto!

The day is finally here! We've come a long way since a few of us wanted to form a squadron on the old Sci-Fi bboard, and received permission from the former fan club to start one online. Sadly, only Charybdis and I are left from that original group, although Cain does show up from time to time. We've had our ups and downs over the past ten years. There have been times that this group has been incredible. Unfortunately, right now seems to be a down time, especially for the RPG. (No RPG posts in two and a half months breaks my heart.) That's partially my fault, but I just couldn't keep going the way that it was. But that's not a conversation for today.

I've met a lot of fantastic people on this great ship that we call the Callisto, including some wonderful, lifelong friends. There are also a few people that I'd rather forget, but you'll get those in any group. There have been laughs, there have been tears. But it's a ride that I'm glad I've been a part of.

We are 10 years old!!! Amazing!!!! I've been with the Callisto 5 of those 10 years. i think I'll go to the O-Club and have a Juri Juice!!! ;D

Well said, Brie! I can't beleive it's already been 10 years since we were over there on the Skiffy boards...

but, we may be down, but not out!! I plan on coming here regularly, and although not much involved in the game, I do want to keep this going. We will be here for a long time still, I hope.

Wow! Ten years! So cool that I happened to be here today to catch the anniversary.

I wasn't an original member, but I was there at the start of the rpg, so I feel pretty sentimental thinking back. It was so fun back then, and I have notebooks full of rough story posts to prove how much time I sunk into this during the glory days! True there were ups and downs, but what doesn't, right?

I feel I've made some friends here, some still here and some that don't come around anymore that I have to admit I really miss. That this could become such an important part of my life that fellow players could mean so much is a testament to just how cool this was when it was really rolling. If you weren't here back then it's hard to describe the bursts of amazing creativity that went on and how we all fed off each others ideas.

Speaking of which, the picture of the viper and saturn at the top of the screen is just mindblowing!

Wow. Hard to imagine. I wasn't an original member, but I remember almost exactly the conversation that brought me here.

Haha! You guys were still over on the SciFi board back then and had a lot more active members, but ever since I've joined I've found comraderie here and people full of wonderful ideas and talent. Thanks for having me along for the ride!

Happy belated 10th anniversary, Battlestar Callisto, and to all of my Colonial friends! I wasn't part of the original group, but I joined several months before we started our RPG, so I've really enjoyed my time with our group and meeting and getting to know so many of our members. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to participate during the past yahren, but I am hoping to be able to do a little bit this yahren.
