"Ensign, I wish I could tell you exactly what your current assignment will be. I have a briefing with the Commander that may shed more light into that, or it may not. At current we are looking into several missing Warriors and Vipers and we have someone in one of the briefing rooms that may know more than he is letting on. Capt. Logan is checking out his ship and its records. You are to assist her as she needs it, and you are to watch and learn. The Academy is good, but does not compare to hands on. They give you a great base foundation to build your skills on."

Ione sat there listening to what the major was giving them and she understood. From her point of view this was going to be like an advanced training mission but with more consequences than a simulated excersize would yield in the end. "Understood Sir. Count on me to do my best."

As Ensign Plwel heard the news that he was going to be assigned to work directly with Major Skyler, he was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. He was, however, a little bit confused by this as well. "A newly assigned officer working directly with the Squadron Commander on his first assignment.......that seems a little odd" Bouri thought to himself privately. Regardles of why he recieved this honor, he was committed to doing the best he could to support the Major on this mission....regardless of what it was or where it would take him.
Plwel said joyfully, "Thank you sir.......I look forward to working with you and serving under your command." "Would you like me to accompany you to you meeting with the Commander, or is there something else you would like me to do while you are gone?" Would this be his chance to finally meet Colonel Charybdis and Commander Sheba as well?
Plwel was excited that this may just be the first chance to fly in his Viper as an official pilot of the Callisto and member of Gold Squadron. he was sure that the was much he could learn from a seasoned Colonial Warrior like Major Skyler.

Ione sat there quietly awaiting further instructions from the major. She hoped that she would prove to be an asset in helping the Captain.

Baris entered the Bridge with his head down looking at the data pad in his hand. His brow was creased in concentration.
He didn't look up until he almost walked into Logan. If anything, this only made his forehead frown deepen. "Captain."
"Lt.," Logan replied, forcing herself to remain serious. She didn't know why, but aggravating Baris had become a sort of hobby of hers.
He looked past her to Hush and nodded in greeting. "I have the requested information for the Commander, " Baris stated matter of factly.
Logan kept her Pyramid face on and nodded gravely. She was very interested in what Baris' physical examination of Kalten had revealed, but knew she'd have to wait until Skyler showed up so they could all report to the Commander at the same time.
Logan ran her hand through her hair and tightened the knot at the base of her neck that held her mane in place. Baris watched her critically, almost as if he was looking for something to treat her for. It was annoying to Logan the way he always seemed to be sizing up the Warriors, but she didn't try to understand the way his mind worked. She often caught him looking at her and the other Warriors as if he were assessing property...similar to the way the techs down in the Bay looked at the Vipers.
Across the Bridge, Commander Sheba's door opened and she stepped out, handing reports to the nearest Ensign. Seeing Logan, Hush and Baris, she walked over and greeted them. "Come into my office. Major Skyler is on his way."

Skyler pushed his chair back from his desk and stood up, the two Ensigns both jumped to their feet like a spring board. He just smiled...
"I am heading to the meeting with Sheba now, you two are welcomed to come too. It will give you a chance to see the Bridge. Once the meeting is over, Ione you can meet Capt. Logan and get your assignment. Plwel, I am afraid you will be stuck with me afterwards."
Skyler motioned them out the door and headed to the bridge with them in tow.
On the Bridge Sheba checked her chrono. It was almost time for the meeting, she noticed that some of the members had already shown up on the bridge in her monitors. She hadn't seen Skyler yet, but knew he was never late. Its like he had a built in Chrono. You give him a time and right to the Micron he was there. Maybe this would be his streak breaker.... She gathered the reports on her desk and headed for the door...
Across the Bridge, Commander Sheba's door opened and she stepped out, handing reports to the nearest Ensign. Seeing Logan, Hush and Baris, she walked over and greeted them. "Come into my office. Major Skyler is on his way."
As if on cue she saw him enter with two fresh officers in step behind him. She smiled, it brought back memories of her youth on Caprica watching ducklings follow their mothers around... Skyler stopped and introduced Plwel and Ione to Genie so she could give them the bridge tour and headed to the assembled group....

Triton frowned at the monitor for a couple of microns before questioning Celosia. "Is he supposed to be doing something to that surveillance camera out there?"
The Private Officer didn't take her eyes off her computer monitor. "Who?", she asked.
"That Sentry you have on duty outside the CDR. He's seems to be doing something with the camera above the door, you can see him here on this monitor".
"Celosia swiveled her chair back around to face Triton, whilst exclaiming with, "What?! What is he doing with the camera?". She got up and came over to look for herself. Confused, Celosia frowned, then she switched a comm unit that patched directly through to the outer door stentofon, used for communications to any Sentry on guard. "Leiutenant Lysander, is our CDR surveillance camera having some kind of problem?"
Outside Lysander was fiddling with attaching the microchip crystal inside the recording device unit of the camera. The hallway seemed quiet at the centon, and so he took a chance to do what he was instructed to do, more like threatened to do. With the unit case opened, he heard a voice from one of the officers within the CDR speaking to him on the wall stentofon.
"Lieutenant? Please respond."
Lysander shoved the micro crystal into place, flipping the camera shut and moved away from the camera quickly. His heart started to pound louder than it already was. Pressing the button on the comm unit to reply the officer speaking to him, he swallowed hard and answered. " ah, Lieutenant Lysander here".
"Officer Celosia here. Is there a problem with the camera?"
Lysander's eyes darted from side to side, as he thought to himself. Damn! It's the officer Triton's with. Has he seen me too? Can't worry about that now, I'll just have to come up with something quick to answer her. Just BREATHE... The blackshirt finally pressed the reply button. "Ahh, no Officer Celosia. Not that I can see anyway. I thought I heard a little grinding noise coming from the camera motor, so I thought to check it, to make sure it was operating okay".
Triton and Celosia looked at each other as they listened to the sentry's answer.
She held down her button again to speak back. "And is it operating normal now?"
"Yes, it seems to be now, Private Celosia. I ..I think the noise I heard was probably just a little dust and dirt under the oscillatory motor, not the recording drive in the camera. I was just cleaning away the dirt near the mechanism .It's working fine now. Must be space dust...". He chuckled, in a slightly forced way, to mask his nerves.
Triton didn't quite buy what the Sentry was saying for some confounded reason, but it seemed quite possible that what Lysander was saying could check out to be true. He observed what Celosia would respond with next. She simply shrugged at Triton, as she repeated the words, "Space dust?" "Alright Lieutenant. Although, I might get a tech down here to check it over all the same. It wouldn't be good to have it go out altogether."
Lysander's eyes widened with fear that what he placed in the camera might be discovered. "Ohh, I don't think that's necessary. I can see it's working just fine. Tell you what, why don't I stand in front of the camera and you can tell me if you 're seeing me alright on your monitor in there?"
Celosia thought for a micron, then said, "Okay, Lieutenant, we'll try that."
Lysander left the stentofon and stood directly in the camera's view. Triton and Celosia could plainly see the camera indeed worked fine. "Okay, Lieutenant. I can see you just swell. I won't worry about getting a tech for now. But if you notice anything strange going on with it, let me know immediately."
Lysander let out a deep sigh of relief, then pressed the comm button. "Of course. Immediately".
Celosia, satisfied with the Sentry's cooperative ways and sound reason for touching the camera, nodded happily. "Thank you lieutenant".
"There, see? A perfectly sound explaination to it. I don't know what you've got against the poor fellow. He was just doing his job, Triton".
Triton sighed, "Right. Of course he is". Celosia returned to her chair and resumed her work at her station.
"Well I have to get back to my own duties, I'll hear from you later on?", Triton said as he pressed the release key for the door to open.
"Uh-huh. I'll let you know as soon as I find or IF I find anything on your friend's brother".
"Thanks, Celosia". "Sure", she replied, engrossed more in her work.
Triton left the CDR and passed once again by the inner core chamber before a CDR officer entered the security code to unlock the main door. The door slide opened, as Triton nodded respectfully to the officer.
Back outside, the warrior passed Lysander, but stopped at the sentry's smarmy remark.
"Leaving so soon, Lieutenant Triton?". Triton turned around to face the black shirt, as that gut feeling came screaming back to him. He glared at the sentry, placing his hands upon his hips.
"Just what were you doing with that camera, Lieutenant?"
"I don't know what you're talking about".
"Yes you do. I saw you on the monitor inside just now. You were up to something with CDR's surveillance camera."
"I told the officer who I spoke with, what I was doing. I was checking that the camera was working correctly, that's all".
Triton studied Lysander's face intently, trying to find a clue in it. He felt distrust growing more and more about him.

Ione walked behind the major without saying anything. She mentally noted where she was going so as to help her better navigate the ship. At this point, she felt it best to stay silent and take in as much information as she could so that she could help Captain Logan with their part of the assignment.

Brik entered the Bridge and joined the group of Warriors and Lt. Baris as they followed Sheba into her office.
Not being able to help teasing her friend, Logan whispered theatrically behind her hand, "Cutting it a little close, weren't you, Captain?"
Brik gave his friend a withering look and rolled his eyes at her. Smiling to herself, Logan saw that the two new Ensigns Skyler had escorted to the Bridge were busy on Genie's tour. She was always a bit nervous at the introduction of new Warriors to the squadron. The unit ran like a machine and they all felt like family to her. She knew that could be intimidating to someone new, trying to find their place in the hierarchy of the team. But these two weren't staring wide-eyed like frightened lifestock and were paying close attention to Genie. That was a good sign. And the man seemed to be older than the typical rookie. Logan wondered what his story was.
Not having time to think about it at the micron, she turned her attention to the Commander as they gathered around her desk. Sheba turned first to Baris. "Lt., I want to start with the medical reports. They always lay a good basis for the facts."
Logan could see the straightening in Baris' shoulders and the almost imperceptible tilt of his head as he drew himself up with importance. Like he needed another excuse to think he was perfect, she thought to herself.
"Commander, " Baris began, "We ran all the tests we could think of and the results were triple-checked against Fleet records. There is no doubt. This Kalten fellow is the exact same person who we have on record as being in service...almost 30 yahrens ago."
Sheba blinked. Baris paused for effect before continuing. "I wouldn't have believed it myself, but the DNA is identical. That can't be faked. And while cloning may have explained it, that wouldn't have explained his scars from past surgeries and scar tissue from injuries."
"I see," Sheba said.
Logan wasn't surprised by Baris' report and the medical officer seemed disappointed that the Warriors in the room didn't show more shock at what he had obviously assumed would be huge news.
"Captain?" Sheba inclined her head towards Logan.
Exchanging a glance with Hush, Logan brushed a stray hair from her forehead and exhaled loudly. "The ship is authentic. It is as Kalten said. This ship isn't as old as it appears. The serial numbers match Fleet records. This ship was in service yahrens ago, but the internal chronometer is still set for that. Lt. Hush has the relevant readouts."
Lt. Hush came forward and handed the data pad to Sheba. "Commander, the ship's logs are there and the Lotus Laboratory was the last departure point."
Sheba looked calm, but Logan had to wonder if her mind was spinning. This information had so many repercussions.
"Alright, Major, Captain, " what do you have to add?" She looked to Skyler and Brik expectantly.

Ione listened intently to the tour being given to her and the other ensign. In a way she wished she was with the other officers in their conference. Silently she admonished herself that her time would come and not to push it.
