There's a way to change that, Amy. When they re-release them, go see them!

and if you really want to get involved, get into costuming and join the 501st or Rebel Legion!!!! If you are creative, you can do a costume for not a lot of money...go to the websites and start asking around and finding info...it's the only way (insert Darth Vader voice there) www.rebellegion.comwww.501st.com

Latest Update on Star Wars in 3D:
Lucasfilm just announced that Ep. II Attack of the Clones will be released to theaters in 3D on Sep. 20, 2013!!!
and if that was not enough, Ep. III Revenge of the Sith will be released in 3D on Oct. 11, 2013!!!
So we will have back to back releases of both SW movies...looks like it will be a pretty cool fall 2013....

I missed that announcement. Thanks for letting us know!
So who saw Ep 1 in 3D? What did you think?

I saw it. Took the whole family and it was a lot of fun. My kids had never seen a Star Wars movie in the theater, so it was about time!
It was great, but since they went back to "retrofit" the 3-D, it did not look that deep as far as the separation of the picture elements. Still cool to see SW in the theaters again, but not that great as far as the 3D...
Still, I'll go see them again just because the movie/theater showing of a Star Wars movie is special. You never know when we'd ever get to see them again in the theater...

I really enjoyed it as well. We went to the midnight show and got stuck next to a group that was drunk (I'm pretty sure that Darth Maul's middle name does NOT begin with an "f") but that was the only drawback. I kind of liked the 3D. I'm not a huge fan of it to begin with, too many movies that are made for 3D overdo it in my opinion. This was nice because it wasn't about the effects, they were just an addition to the story. Can't wait for 4-6.

4-6.... That will be the ones I am really waiting to see in the theaters again, I am also hoping Gideon is old enough to enjoy it by then. I want him to have that same "WOW" feeling I had in 1977......

Update 1: There was a short blurb a couple of weeks ago that said that LFL had moved up the release of Ep. III to Oct. 4th instead of the 11th... that being said, the question is now moot. Update 2: LFL has just announced that since they will be concentrating on Ep. VII now, they are postponing all 3D releases!!! No Ep. II and III this fall afterall... and to boot, they are now backing off the Ep. VII release year of 2015...I always said that it would take a lot longer to film and release this thing than 2015...I say again, do the 3D releases and release Ep. VII in 2017 to coincide with the 40th anniv. of Star Wars...would be perfect...
