Ok, who here has read the Honor Harrington series? I just found them after I got drafted into the Royal Manticoran Navy... If anyone else is interested in being "drafted" I would be honored (no pun intended) to have you join our ship, the HMS Excalibur BC-749, a Nike Class Battlecruiser. I am sure our XO - Commander Gideon "Brik" Deschain or our Chief of the Boat, Chief Petty Officer Bryan "Wraith" Housekncht would also be honored to see you abord, even if just for a cruise around the system...
Its really a good series, I am on book 5 and I am loving it. The Royal Manticoran Navy (www.trmn.org) is a new fan group and is growing fast...

I've seen one or two of those at the library, but haven't every looked into the series order to know what to read first, since I really prefer reading books in chronological order. I'll try to check it out when I finish my current readings.

Tony, start with "On Basklisk Station" its a good book and really sets up Honor Harrington and characters you will see through out the series. Be warned David Weber has no problems killing off characters. No one is safe.... After you read them, let me know what you think?

Bryan, I'll put it on my list. Thanks!
Another series you might check out is "Tour of the Merrimack," by R.M. Meluch. Last time I checked, there were four books in the series. I've read 1, 3, and 4, but haven't found 2 (Wolf Star) yet.

Just checked wikipedia: There are now five books in the Merrimack series, with a sixth in the works.

Recently heard from the man himself that Tim Zahn will be doing some writing in this universe. If I remember his announcement correctly, he'll be doing a prequel trilogy. Maybe I will start reading these now lol
