Out of the six movies, what is your favorite lightsaber battle and why? Is there a close second to your favorite? I'll give my favorite and runner up soon but I'm curious as to what others have to say first.

Absolutely the best lightsaber fight was in Ep. I with Maul, Qui Gon and Obi Wan. WHy? Intense super-fast dueling that we never had seen before...
Second, I'd have to say Obi Wan and Anakin in Ep. III for the same reasons as above...very moving as well for the storyline too...

I was quite fond of the Geonosis battle.....just seeing all those Jedi with ignited sabers running across the field towards the droid army.....and seeing Mace really fight for the first time....was an awesome sight for me.

Okay, time for my two cubits, or would it be Republic credits in this case?
My favorite lightsaber battle is the one at the end of Empire. Luke shows up with his hero's lightsaber (since his idea of his father was his hero) and confidence that he shouldn't have had. He ends up losing more than just his hand in that battle! He's over matched and realizes that eventually, but he doesn't give up. In the end he's even willing to sacrifice his life for what he believes in, even though I know he doesn't die.
I saw a show many, many, many years ago about the making of the movie. One of my favorite parts was when Darth Vader is using the force to throw things at Luke. It was actually two stage hands, standing out of view and throwing empty boxes at Mark Hamill. Funny stuff. He said he did get pretty beat up during that scene.
My second favorite lightsaber battle is the one between Anakin and Obi-Wan, especially when the both use the force push. It shows how well they know each other. If Yoda had taken on Anakin and Ben the Emperor I wonder if there would have been a different outcome.

The scene with the boxes being thrown at Luke, yes! I cannot see that scene again without realizing that there's two guys just throwing the boxes at him! Funny..once you know the 'secret.'

Just think of it as Vader using a mind trick on the two stage hands and forcing them to throw the boxes. ;D
I get into the scene so much that I forget. Awesome movie. Oh yeah, you guys know that already.
