Dolet nodded, and checked the controls to make sure he'd be ready. He was so relieved he could taste it. We'd found Major JustinB!
He wondered what JustinB would think when he found out that he, ensign Dolet, had come out on this mission to find him. In a short amount of time Dolet had become intensely loyal to the Major, and would do anything the Major asked.
And he had, taking on two cylons, beating them both to save the shuttle and keep the mission alive. Of course Stadia had been out there too, but he was the representative from black squadron here, not back at the Callisto tipping back a cold one like the rest of his squadron...
He'd been gone a long time. Dolet briefly wondered how the fleet was doing, then turned his attention back to the controls.

Thanks to the shuttle, the raiders would soon be in my targeting scanner. The vector the other viper was coming on in, we would have those raiders destroyed in no time. My thoughts drifted to the Callisto and and a warm comfortable bed. I was a centon out to firing range and my thoughts returned to the job.

"R1 to R2, Recon 1 is on your six coming up fast, less than a centon out, to help you polish off that chrome problem you're having. He's running on fumes; do a 180 hook, multi-jink, and let's reel them in toward him. When he start's firing, they should peel off and you'll be able to spin around and get a good shot on at least one. Don't miss, Stadia, cause we'll be coming in almost right behind him. Lords be with you both," said Lucian, hoping it would be over soon.

Silence ruled in the shuttlecraft as Lucian, Fallel, and Dolet listened to the discussion between JustinB and Stadia. That discussion was particularly animated as they helped each other set up Stadia's two pursuers. Lucian watched the scanner intently, looking out for any latecomers to the little party. If any more Raiders showed up, they'd be in deep trouble.
Suddenly, the blip that was Stadia's craft veered off, and the two pursuing blips seemed to separate, but only for a moment, because the one nearest JustinB's blip suddenly disappeared from the screen. The ensuing shouts in the shuttle intermingled the voices of JustinB, from the comm, with the excitement of the shuttle's crew. Moments later, with Stadia and JustinB looping around, the second Cylon blip disappeared....
Following another round of shouts, Lucian said, "Great job, guys. Now JustinB, set course as transmitted, we'll get you resupplied and refueled, and we're on our way home. Dolet, hit that hatch, and let that C.O.R.A. fly. It will supply JustinB enough air and water to get him home, and we'll refuel as soon as that transfers complete."
A few centons later, with resupply and refueling completed, three ships in visual range switched off their IFF transponders, changed directions, and made their way back toward the rag tag fleet in silence....
