"Um, I will have whatever he is having." Shannon said not sure what to say. She was getting her mothers call sign, maybe it was an omen, maybe a warning. She briefly wondered about who this MaraJade was and why her Viper was now available. That sounded bad. She smiled her best smile and tried to hide her thoughts. If her superiors wanted her opinions or thoughts they would ask her.

Rose sat in the booth for awhile alone looking around the O'Club to see if she was able to spot any other new faces that she didn't know right off and didn't find any other new Warriors in the group. She wondered how long Hawke planned on staying over at the bar talking to the new Warrior that was a member of Gold Squadron from the looks of the patch on her jacket. Rose didn't like sitting alone when she had come to spend some time with Hawke during their down time from duty.
After sitting there for a few minutes longer, Rose slide out of the booth and walked over towards the bar where Hawke was currently standing and talking with the new Warrior in Gold Squadron. It didn't take long before Rose reached the bar area where Hawke was located and stopped right beside him and waited to see if he noticed her coming up beside him.

*Seeing someone else walk up* Shannon felt uneasy, she was probably the most junior officer in the fleet, such as it is...

Rose smiled a little as she acepted the mug of grog from Hawke. She looked over at Shannon and noticed that she seemed a little uneasy right then. Rose remembered how she felt when she first came onboard as a new warrior and it could be scary at times not knowing many people and feeling a bit nervous as well around some of the more Senior Officers.
"Hello Shannon. Welcome to the Callisto. Do you perfer to go by Shannon or Angel?," Rose asked.

"Um, ma'am, Im good with whatever you or anyone want to call me, all I care is that I get to kill Cylons." Shannon said without thinking about how stupid that must sound. It was typical of her mother to say something like that, but she didnt know that. She bit her lip and felt silly all the sudden. A girl trying to be cool around real Warriors, and probably looking the fool.

"Um, ma'am, Im good with whatever you or anyone want to call me, all I care is that I get to kill Cylons." Angel said. There was something about the way she said it that struck a chord with me that I always saw in new recruits. I smiled at her and for a faint second all of my rage for the Cylons came flooding back to me. But I cleared my throat & said to her "Don't...worry, you.... will... Don't.. be... so... eager, kid. I.... was like... you once. Just wanting... to...get a ...Cylon in....my....sights and... blow them.... out.... of... the stars. If.... anyone... has... a grudge.... against the.... Cylons it's.... me. They.... made me.... this way."

"THEY MADE ME THIS WAY TOO!" Shannon screamed inside her head. She had read stories about kids back on those planets they called Colonies. They lived on planets and played games in things called fields with stuff called grass. They had things called pets, and went places to play and see people called relatives. None of that existed anymore. Shannon had never seen a planet for real. She never had relatives, never smelled fresh air, or felt grass under her, or knew the love of a pet. The older Warriors often forgot that the children of war seldom know life without death and pain and loss. They have nothing to compair it all to. Memories of a better time can help to keep a tired veteran going, they have something to live FOR, a better future, like it used to be. The war child has nothing like that. To them, life is cheap, it means nothing. Killing is not only an acceptable way to resolve conflict, its considered normal. Fighting isnt an anomoly, its the rule. Hate is the primary emotion, love is the oddity, and when the older veterans feel remorse for fallen comrads, the war child feels nothing. They learn to grow cold, to ignore emotional attachments. They thrive where others die, but theres a price to pay. IF the war ends, it will be the war child that pays the price. They will have no place in the very future they create. When civilization resumes, they will be the outcast, the uncivilized, the relics of a time best forgotten. Shannon, of course knew none of this, she only knew that she was born to kill. Her entire existance was to kill, and die when she could no longer kill. She was only a weapon, since only weapons and killing Cylons mattered. Everything would wait, till the future. A future she would never have a place in. "Tell that to my father." she mumbled. She put the drink down before taking a sip. Suddenly it just didnt appeal to her. Maybe it was just sharing a drink with another person who saw her as just a child. Her eyes told another story. She turned towards the door. There was a Viper with her name on it in the flight bay, and now she knew which one. She decided to get to work, getting her weapon ready.

I look at her and say "Yeah..Need..to..check.. her...out..Something's... not.... right... with...her.." I say. "We've been encountering alot of weird people lately. Haidee, Angel, you.." Rose says. I look at her surprised. "Me?" I ask. "You. You've been awfully distant lately. What's going on in that little head of yours?" she asks. " I... just want... to.... start... the.... therapy.... that... Haidee.... has in.... mind. That's... all." I say.

Rose wondered if that was all was with Hawke in him wanting to get started on the therapy that Haidee had in mind for him. She wondered herself what to truely make of things when it came to Haidee, for she didn't speak much while she was in Hawke's Office earlier. For a moment, Rose also wondered if Hawke had truely changed any since they originally had split up way back before his stroke. Yet here he was not drinking like he had done over the last several months and was drinking a juice instead.
Rose took a sip of her drink and the set it down on the bar where she was still standing with Hawke. After sitting her drink down, Rose looped one of her arms around Hawke's arm and leaned against him slightly. "This place is getting a bit crowded. How about we go some please else that is a little more quiet so we can talk some more," Rose suggested.
