I want to start posting (with my character Minerva, Starbuck's and Athena's daughter) to keep within the timeline of the Battlestar Callisto RPG storylines. Should I just go ahead and post? Thanks!

My advice would be to contact someone who is currently writing a story (namely Amy or Logan) and see if there's a good spot to get involved with either of them first. This game is at its best when people are working together.

Hmm...Minerva, I'm glad you are ready to post! We need new people and fresh ideas all the time. If you want to join in on either my storyline or Amy's (can't speak for her but you can ask her!), I'll fit you in.
I do plan on having my team meet with Apollo and Starbuck on the Galactica, so if Minerva is there they could put her on the mission. I'm not sure why. lol Maybe you could come up with reason. Just let me know what you think.

One of the things we have to get sorted out is how the fleet is moving. Currently, Black Squadron has a patrol out in front of the fleet where Dolet has run into some kind of trouble. We have not jumped out of this system yet. The entire fleet has to begin moving first and once we clear the current system, we will make the jump...
Now that Dolet is having trouble, we might not leave the system so fast...

Forgot to mention, with real life making itself present, I will be out of the office pretty much beginning next week and lasting until the first week of January. So, what that means is that I might not be around too much over the rest of December. But I will try to check in when I can...

Is it integral to everyone's stories to follow the same pace? My story has nothing to do with how the Fleet is moving. We can start our mission before or after the jump since we are only searching within the Fleet. ANd I was under the assumption that our stroylines didn't have to match up chronologically with others since we all have different activity levels and aren't able to post at the same speeds. And who decides when the jump is made? Frankly, I'm not all that crazy about keeping my story in limbo and as long as the timeline works within individual storylines, I'm not sure what the problem is with going ahead and having the story proceed.

Why can't we just assume that everything the past couple of weeks is AFTER the jump? It's been well over a year in the same system, it's time for something new. Personally I think that what Amy is thinking makes more sense in a new system, although I think that the RPG in general has been stuck is some sort of time warp. (Ha ha, that was a joke. ) Logan's story, since it's within the fleet, can take place in whatever system we're in, and as I said Amy's just lends to something new. Our story, just like the TOS, is supposed to be about people, not moving the ships forward. Let's face it...jumps can be boring. Since things have moved slowly the past year it doesn't make sense to bog them down even more. Anyone agree?

I do! I completely thought that Amy's Dolet story was taking place in the new system we jumped the Fleet to!
And considering that very few people are posting I'm not sure I get the point of drawing out the jump.

Hi guys! I just posted what I did because it seemed that what Amy wrote placed us in the same system with Dolet moving out ahead of the fleet, but you're right, it makes more sense if we already jumped and theyr'e checking out a new planetary system. Fine by me...
As to who decides? Well, Tony had done a lot of the work moving the entire arc along so I thought I would just try to jump start us a bit by moving us out of the current system. But anyone can do it, just notify us here on this board and we can discuss things as to what you all want to do.
I have a couple of major ideas as to where the fleet will go and some things that might happen on the grand scale and I can introduce them slowly if you like but if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to Pm or add them here...
