HI everyone,
I want to see if we can possibly get the RPG going again by perhaps introducing a new storyline to the mix.
We have been a bit stagnant in this sector so the decision has been made to move the fleet, possibly leaving behind Amy and Brie...
If you are involved in any of those storylines, please try to get in on the action soon so we can move the fleet!!!

Continuity note:
For the purpose of the story, Brie is supposed to be dead, and Amy is hiding somewhere in the fleet, supposedly by her own choice. Neither one is being left behind.
I'm still the continuity police I guess...

To refresh memories, here's what was posted about Amy and Brie. (These can be found under the Master Plan thread.)
About Amy, a conversation between Brie and Joey:
"...Big surprise about Amy, huh?"
"What surprise?" Brie had no idea what Joey was talking about.
"She resigned," Joey informed her. "Sent a message a few centons ago. Said she didn't want the SIC job that Skyler had offered her, and that she really needed to take some time off. She informed Commander Sheba that she plans on hiding in the fleet for a while, and she had already sent someone back here with her viper. I'm surprised that she didn't tell you, I know you two are close."
"Yeah," Brie replied, in slight shock. "We kept trying to find a good time to talk, but it never happened."
"Too bad," Joey said. "I know she was always hard on herself, but in my opinion she was one heck of a warrior..."
About Brie (this was an IFB report):
Search efforts are underway for Major Brie, former CO of Gold Squadron on the Battlestar Callisto, although anonymous sources tell me that it’s become more of a recovery mission than possible rescue. Commander Apollo is reportedly ready to change her status from "missing" to "presumed dead". Major Brie's viper exploded on her way to the Galactica. A faulty fuel line is being blamed...
Enough time has passed that Apollo would have made the mentioned change by now.

Hmmm, where does that leave those of us on the special mission to locate Amy? It has been a while, but several of us were asked to try to find her to let her know about what happened to Brie and bring her back to the Callisto.
I really want to get the story going again and admit that I have left things in a holding pattern until members could take the time to continue the plotline. Now seems lile hopefully that time.

Can't the two stories run simultaneously? It's a small group from GS that has been assigned to look for Amy, and they are supposed to be staying within the fleet, so unless the fleet is bogged down in a jump it would work.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.
I'm sending out emails to the rest of the team since the Callisto has been so slow lately, I'm not sure if they have checked in lately.

I haven't heard anything about what the new story is supposed to be so I've gone ahead and continued what my team was doing.

My new story thread "Launch!" is something I started up on my own. The way stories seem to fizzle out these days, I don't really expect to see it go anywhere, and may never finish it myself! On the other hand, it might be fun and get people involved again....
The idea I sort of thought might be interesting would be some sort of time travel thing. If anyone has read any of it, I've already sent Dolet through some sort of rift, as the planet he'd been scanning suddenly is much different as he came through the rift.
I'm not sure exactly what the details will be but if anyone is interested in being a part of it, that would be great. Vaguely I'm thinking that whatever the time experiments on the planet were, it ended in disaster since the planet had no life before Dolet went through the rift.
This could involve the whole fleet and be some huge thing, or just be an adventure for a few pilots on patrol. It's a story we haven't done yet anyway I'm pretty sure. Anybody could join in, even those looking for Amy. Sheba could say that Dolet going missing on patrol could be something she needs pilots for or something. I don't know.... Just thinking out loud, trying to open it up to everybody....
Time travel can be pretty cool. Could the fleet somehow use the rift to go back to before the colonies were attacked? hmmm....
Feel free to pm me or write here. I'll be back probably early next week to see if there's any interest or if I'm just going to amuse myself....
