"Bridge, this is Callisto Shuttle. Request Information on Warriors schedualed to be be shuttled back from Galactica, and Status."
Edan waited a moment as he listened for a response from the bridge to his question. after a micron or two, the bridge duty officer responded saying..."Callisto shuttle, the two Gold Squadron warriors are Ensign Guinevere; no injuries, prepared for duty. The second one is Lieutenant Bouri-Plwel.....at last report was unconcious, on life tube support and medical staff were trying to revive him in the medical bay. Status is still listed critical. Injuries sustained from some sort of on board explosion during flight and crash landing in Galactica's Alpha Bay. No further detailed information is available. Please make contact with the medical officer upon arrival and update personnel status and cause of incident if known to core command before transport back to the Callisto. Bridge out."

Janey piloted the shuttle out of the Callisto and began the journey down the long convoy of ships, a line that stretched farther than she could see.
"I didn't know you were a flowers girl" Bulk-up was insisting. He'd been pleading his case since clearance had been given to launch the shuttle.
"Yeah" Janey said in response. "You've said that already. You know you never bothered to learn much of anything about me, or got to know the real me."
"Guess I didn't" Bulk-up huffed. "Seeing how it's you and Al---" For once he was able to stop before saying something he'd regret. "But neither did you! All we ever did was---"
"Yeah" Janey interrupted. "Guess that's all we were after, huh?"
Bulk-up just looked ahead at the ships of the fleet as the shuttle flew over the top of them. "Where's our assignment?" he asked after a few moments of silence.
Janey looked over at him. Was that some kind of regret in his eye? He hadn't shown an ounce of it when their relationship had ended. She was going to ask something, but thought better of it. Instead she looked down and checked the list. "Starliner Alpha" she replied.
The Alpha was once a glorious cruise ship until it's retirement. It was in drydock over Caprica being gutted when the Cylon attack on the colonies forced it into space, carrying refugees in what was left of it's faded splendor. In the yarhens since, it's residents had restored the casino, and a huge sprawling medical complex taking up 3 decks was built, bringing in revenue and making life on the Alpha more comfortable than most ships.
"That piece of felgercarb again?" Bulk-up moaned. "That thing has been nothing but trouble since all the retrofitting. It pops more leaks than a triad ball with a playful daggit."
"Hmmm" Janey said, not really listening. Her thoughts were of the medlab there, where she remembered Ally being treated in intensive care, incapable of moving even a finger... She wondered for the hundredth time how Ally was doing with C group.
"Colonies to Janey!" Bulk-up said loudly, waving a hand at her.
"Uh, yeah" Janey said, clearing her throat. "We're scheduled for inspection of the outer hull." Loud enough for all to hear, she announced: "Break out your breathers and bungee cords! We'll be on the outside this time!"
She could hear the moans and groans behind her as the crew reacted to the news. Up ahead she could make out the Alpha. "Repair shuttle to Starliner Alpha, requesting final approach co-ordinates for Solium survey and repair mission"....

She looked at the sincere concern in Hush's' eyes and stepped closer to him, brushing his hair off his forehead and cupping his cheek, she smiled. "I don't know how I could forget this moment. In fact, there are so many moments I can't forget...about us...about everything, that I'm about to explode with it all."
Letting her hand drop, she just looked at him and tried to convey everything she was feeling through their locked stare. "Hush. You've never hurt me. And I don't know how you could. Frack, you have more restraint than anyone I've ever known." She laughed and shook her head. "A Hades lot more restraint than I do, that's for sure."
Her mind wandered to so many nights shared in these quarters and she sighed heavily. "I don't want to hurt anyone either, most of all you. Plwel...well, that's going to be difficult. If this other reality hadn't appeared I don't know where we would have ended up, but it did and I can't ignore that." Something lit up her eyes as she took his hands in her own. "No. No, it didn't just appear. It happened. I don't know why I feel that way or how I know it, but I do."
"Now, I have to report to the landing bay before Edan leaves without me and you'd better get going before Dorlan has you scraping out the garbage scow. And don't worry about the mission. Gold and Bronze have been working well together lately. I don't see why this time would be any different. And who knows, after the initial recon, there should be time for leave. Lords, we all deserve it."

The Starliner Alpha provided the co-ordinates for approach, and soon Janey had the shuttle docked alongside the aging liner. They weren't docked for access into the great ship, but rather tethered to the side so that the shuttle could power down during the solium leak survey.
There wasn't a word spoken after that, as Janey, Bulk-up, and the rest of the crew worked at getting their suits on and gear ready to go outside. It was dull work done too many times, and not good for a person in the long haul. No matter how good the protection, exposure to solium wasn't something anyone wanted a lot of.
Janey's mind was on Ally more than anything else. She thought back, her mind running two sets of memories nearly side by side as she got her gear together for what seemed like the millionth time. For her, just seeing the Alpha again triggered hard memories and stirred strong emotions.
Vivid in her mind was the mission to the basestar, and the fierce battle with a new model of cylon centurion, a model made distinctive by a purple light flashing back and forth in the headpiece. They were virtually unstoppable, and Ally had been taken down by what proved to be much more than a mere laser hit. Only an emergency blood transfusion on the shuttle back had saved her life, but not her motor functions as a toxin quickly spread throughout her body.
Janey's own personal experience had been nearly as bad. Caught in an explosion and buried under rubble, one of these centurions had forced her to cry out for help, something she had fought until the pain had been unbearable. She could still imagine the pain, feel the pressure....
And Ally had ended up here, on the Alpha, paralyzed and left with no hope of ever walking again. Not even the fleets newest and latest medlab facility, located deep within the Alpha, could come up with an answer.
Yet in this new reality, the whole thing had never happened. It was hard to come to grips with this, with the memories so fresh and burned into her mind. Strangely, she still bore the marks from that encounter, something she noticed when she had changed into her de-com suit, but she was completely without the injuries she suffered on the mission into the past. A person could grow crazy trying to make sense of it all, she thought as she hooked up her breather and left it hanging off one side of her face.
"Everybody ready?" she asked as she surveyed the room.
Bulk-up was by the hatch, peering out the small window in the door. "I can see a fracking leak from here" he said in disgust. "I hate this fracking ship."

The crews had split into pairs and had gone outside the shuttle with scanners and repair tools. They got around the hull by latching lifelines to hooks spaced out along the outside of the ship. Janey and Bulk-up paired off as a team, and were finishing repairs on the leak Bulk-up had spotted from the shuttle window.
Bulk-up was holding down a plate with both hands while Janey fastened it down and made sure the leak wouldn't sprout again. With nothing else to do, Bulk-up found himself staring at Janey as she concentrated on her work.
Her face was illuminated faintly by the readouts on the inside of her space suit, and some moisture from the solium leak had sprayed up against the glass, giving her features an almost ghostly quality. Her eyes were fixed on her work, her expression almost serene as if her mind was someplace else. In such an unlikely setting, Bulk-up felt that she had never looked more beautiful than she did right now.
"Just so you know" he said, "I loved you with all my heart."
Her eyes flashed in his direction, big and beautiful. "We didn't last five sectons" she reminded him.
"Just the same" Bulk-up replied.
Janey gave him a smile, but there was no happiness behind it. Why are we having this conversation now? she wondered.
She finished tightening the plate down, announcing "Done" as she gave it a tug after Bulk-up let it go, making sure it didn't budge. "Good for another five billion miles" she added with a laugh.
"Or until these frackers turn on too many lights inside this piece of felgercarb" Bulk-up joked.
Janey laughed. "Scanner?" she asked, and Bulk-up passed it over to her, holding onto it a fraction of a micron longer after she went to take it from him. With a brief glance at him she turned it on and focused in on the next trouble spot.....

Logan and Hush exited her quarters and she paused in the hall. Reaching over to squeeze his fingers, she gave him a reassuring smile and kissed him on the cheek. "See you soon."
She let her fingers fall slowly, not wanting to break contact but knowing she had to. Before he could reply, she turned and walked down the corridor heading for the launch bay. She didn't look back, but knew that Hush would head in the opposite direction to report in to Dorlan.
She nodded to several crewmen who passed her and didn't notice some of their doubletakes or widened eyes. She was smiling like an idiot and completely unaware of it until she caught her reflection in the plate of the lift as she waited for the doors to open. Her relaxed expression had to have taken a few people off guard. She didn't have an icy reputation for nothing after all.
Hopping out of the lift as it reached landing bay level, she mused on the conversation she'd just had with Hush. It felt right to her. She had no clue how to resolve things with Plwel and had some guilt, but she also had guilt for what happened with Plwel. In her mind, she was committed to Hush and letting things go as far as they had with Plwel was unacceptable. Even if it was a different timeline. This is enough to drive me mad.
No sign of Edan on deck as she spied the shuttle and walked up to the hatch, so she stuck her head in. "I hear we have some wayward Warriors to retrieve," she said as she ducked into the opening and saw Edan turn in the pilot's seat. She stopped at the look in his eyes. Something wasn't right.

Edan looked back at Captain Logan as she walked into the Shuttle. "Yes Captain, seems there was a Viper Malfuction. One Warrior in the Med Bay of the Galactica, The other over there after towing the Viper in."
Edan purposely didn't mention names. Some of his own tension had been relieved when he heard it had been Guinevere who had dont he towing, not who had been injured. but Still, Pwel was a friend, one of the few warriors it seemed who didn't mind his history. Whichever one they remembered.
Looking the captain over, it would appear that whatever the Duel past held for her, it wasn't as bad as Edan was facing. And for a minute, he felt jealous. Extremely jealous. She seemed to have been comforted by the cnages, or at least been able to accept them enough to be happy. Edan wondered what that must feel like. Not having an Entire Squadron out for him.A Squadron he'd barely remembered serving with, or Didn't serve with. "Frack!" he muttered to hi9mself as he turned back to the controls.
"We're cleared and ready for launch, just have to secure the Hatch and take a seat Captain."

Locking the hatch behind her, she then moved into the co-pilot's seat and went through her own rundown on the controls. She was so used to being the one doing the flying that taking the second seat made her feel out of place. But she didn't say anything, knowing Edan was capable and had had a hard enough time with...her hands stopped mid-motion as she secured her head gear, fingers pausing on the mouth piece as she turned to Edan.
"Hmm, I just remembered. You were in Black Squadron first. And then that brawl." Her face screwed up as the juxtaposition of contrary memories ran through her head. Sighing she shook her head. "Whatever the memory, Edan, you're a good man and Warrior. You're in Gold Squadron because you deserve to be here. " She could see the tension in him. "Don't forget that."
Not wanting to embarrass him, she resumed her check and said, "This whole thing is so fracked. I'm almost afraid of what else I may remember or whatt others may remember that I don't. It's so much to ...process. So, who got into the trouble anyway? I thought you were up for patrol before the jump."

Aboard the Galactica, Plwel was still lying in his life tube being monitored after his accident. He tried to do as the doctor suggested and get some rest, but he could not relax or get comfortable. The question kept running through his head as to why he had not heard from Logan yet and the image of her with Hush on the Callisto. " I am probably making a big deal out of nothing." Plwel thought to himself..."She wouldn't just dump me like that without giving me a chance. Perhaps that is what I will suggest. Date both of us and see what happens....If I'm not the one, then i'm not the one....but she has already been with me so she has to feel something for me. I can't just give up!!!!"
With that, Plwel couldn't stay in the tube any longer. He tried to get up but could not and the monitor alarms started to annunciate as monitoring leads were pulled off. Hearing the alarms, Cassie came to his tube side to see what was going on..."Is there a problem Lieutenant?" Cassie said...."No doctor...I just can't stand to be in here any longer. I feel fine...let me out of here please so I can return to my battlestar." Plwel replied. "You are in no condition to go or do anything warrior.." Cassie continued.."Your body haqs been through a great ordeal not to mention deprived of oxygen for I don't know how long before you landed in the bay. There may be damage that we haven't found yet. One thing is for certain....You will be quite sore for the next few days and your body reaclimates. And I would worry about getting back to your ship. The bridge just notified us that a shuttle is departing the Callisto as we speak to bring you and the warrior that helped you land back." Plwel's head turned to Cassie has his eyes widened slightly as he spoke.."Did they say who is coming?" "Yes....an Ensign Edan and a Captain Logan I believe they said." Cassie replied.
Plwel closed his eyes for a micron at the sound of her name...he was going to finally see her again. He couldn't wait to look into her eyes and feel her touch once again. "Thank you doctor." Plwel said. "By the way, who was it that helped bring me in anyways? I want to thank them." "I don't know. They never came down to the medical bay." Cassie explained. "Now will you PLEASE try to relax and get some rest!!!" Cassie then checked the monitoring equipment and gave Plwel a smile as she headed back to her work station. Plwel was finally at peace and calm knowing Logan was coming to get him........

With the hatch secured, Edan finished the preflight check in. Still not completely comfortible, He was ready to give up the pilots station to The Captain and let her take the Shuttle out. But she seemed to settle into the co-pilot's station fine. then he could see her remembering something. it was turning into a common thing to see on people's faces. And then her comments about his being in Black Squadron. TO which Edan had no doubt he showed his discomfort with the subject.
"Whatever the memory, Edan, you're a good man and Warrior. You're in Gold Squadron because you deserve to be here. Don't forget that."
"thank you Ma'am, I've just had one hades of a homecoming from.... Whatever that mission was. It's not eqsy finding out that practically an entire Squadron of Warriors has it out for you."
Edan got permission to launch and did just that, bringing the Shuttle up and around the Callisto, rather then the easier down and under the Great warship. Although a harder manuver, this would bring the shuttle to the Galactica Faster.
"I got a messagd fromt he bridge that My patrol had been scrubbed for some reason. So I never launched. the importan thing is Lt Plwel seems to have had a major Malfunction in his Viper. He's in the Galactica's Med bay. I can't get a report on how bad the injuries are. Ens Guinevere had to tow him into the Galatcia. I've been thinking about this. I can't think of anything besides combat damage that could have taken out Plwel's Viper so bad he'd need towing. And it seems all the combat damage we took was repaired, or never happened when we woke up here. I'm hoping Guinevere has some answers when we land, I expect her to be in the landing bay waiting. Both with a report on Lt Plwel and his Viper."
There was somer concern on his face, like he suddenly realized something. "Captain, do you have any memories of Guinevere other then the Mission back to the Colonies? Cause I don't. And I can't think of a reason why anyone else would either. No one on the Galactica might even know who she is. She might not have any history here. New or old."
