They were coming up on the Galactica and Logan was glad she wasn't at the main flight controls because she hadn't heard a thing after "Lt. Plwel seems to have had a malfunction in his Viper." She felt like there was a rock in her stomach and she had to swallow hard several times.
Plwel. Injured. How bad? Thoughts were swarming and her previous contentment was swallowed in a black hole of fear and confusion. Her face felt flushed and ingrained training was the only thing that kept her responses at the controls flowing. Dimly, somewhere, she heard all the proper protocols over the comm as they smoothly entered the Galactica's landing bay.
She was aware that Edan was talking to her. Something about Ensign Guinevere and struggled to focus on what he was saying.
"She might not have any history here. New or old."
As the shuttle powered down, she removed the headset and turned to face Edan. "I remember her from the mission, but nothing before that. Only she will be able to answer your questions, I'm afraid." Logan was thinking, 'Afraid. Yes, I'm afraid. Afraid of the shape Plwel is in. Afraid of having to face him, especially now. Afraid of what my eyes will reveal. Oh Lords. What do I do?'
She was in a hurry to get off the shuttle and to the Life Station and she saw Edan watching her. "Edan, you find Guinevere and meet me in the Life Station. I have to see Plwel. Now."

Edan walked out of the shuttle after shutting down the Systems and realized he had no idea how to find Guinevere right now. So, he walked out onto the Galactica's Bay and looked around. Fimnally spotting what he needed.
"Deck Officer. I need some help an Ensign Guinever landed here from the Callisto, do you know where she is?"
The Deck officer looked at his hand computer and punched in the name. "Did you Say the name was Guinevere? I don't have Any warriors in the fllet by that name." Hitting a few more keys, he looked back at Edan. "In fact, Fleet recoreds only show 2 People by the name Guinevere and one is on the Senior ship, the other was born 4 sectars ago. I'm going to need you to explain this."
Edan was affraid of this. "If you tell me where the Warrior is that Towed in the damaged Viper, I'll show you a third Guinevere in the fleet. She joined the fleet recently." It was obvious that this Warrior didn't have any conflicting memories. Probably didn't have any memories of the Trip into the past at all.
"The deck officer signaled a blackshirt to follow Edan and himself. :I don't have an Id on the Warrior, but the Two vipers are this way. Ensign...?"
"My name is Edan. Ensign Edan. Assigned to Gold Squadron , Callisto. And if you think having Mr Ajax here escort us is some sort of threat, then think again. How's the family Ajax?" Edan asked addressing the Blackshirt.
"Very good Mr Edan. Your father is taking good care of everyone in Security. He's Still on the Prison Barge, in the Admin section. You have any idea what is going on with this conflicting Memory Felgarcarb?"
"I have a very good idea Ajax. Now we were going to Find Ensign Guinevre, correct Deck Officer?" One thign seemed to be goign right, his Father, Reece, was still in charge of the Council Security forces, and was still alive.
As the three men walked into the area that the Deck crews had moved Plwel's Viper, Edan saw her standing by the Viper's Engine section. She seemed to be examining the Engines, and was holding a hand computer as well, entering notes. Edan turned tot he Deck officer and smiled. "You will recieve an updated manifest from the Callisto. Ensign Guinevere," Edan indicated the thin blond warrior by the damaged Viper, "has just joined Gold Squadron. Now, if you two will excuse me, Captain Logan of Gold Squadron wants to see us in the Life Station."
Edan moved away from the Deck Officer just as he was about to object. The black guantlet from Ajax stopped him. Ajax explained that there isn't going to be a security problem, not with Edan involved. And it would be easy enough to check with the Callisto on new crew members.
Edan meanwhile tapped Guinever on the shoulder. "How are you Ensign? what do you have here?"
"What we have here, well, to be blunt, couldn't have been an accident. There is a Blast mark on the Engine section. in an area where there is nothing that could explode. We can rule out a mirco Meteor strike, since the damage blew out, see here." Guinevere was showing Edan everythign as she explained it."
"Ok, good work. We need to get to the Life Center and check on Plwel. Captain Logan's orders. Bring everythign you collected and keep updating me on the way. I think we have a big problem here."
Both Warriors moved to the nearest lift to start heading towards the Life Center.

As Logan stopped outside the Life Station, she leaned against the bulkhead to gather herself before entering. Get a grip, Logan. You can do this.
But what exactly am I doing? Oh, I'm sorry you're hurt, Plwel. By the way, Hush and I are together now so all that stuff that happened with us is over.
Running her hands through her hair, which refused to stay in the tie she had knotted at the base of her neck, she sighed heavily and took a few deep breaths. She re-secured the ponytail as best she could and stood up straight. She was remembering Hush's last words to her back on the Callisto. Don't forget this moment. And she wasn't about to, but hearing that Plwel had been injured had made her feel sick to her stomach. How could she tell him now? How could she not?
She had begun to think that the heat of the moment, the urgency of the mission through the rift had been a contributing factor to allowing herself to be involved with Plwel in the first place. She didn't really know him that well and she had to admit that the attention had been nice for a change. Things had gone nowhere with Hush in a hurry and she had long since given up, convincing herself that she had imagined any interest the quiet lieutenant may have had in her.
But now everything was different. Plwel had to be able to see that.
She took half a step and stopped, something suddenly dawning on her. What memories does Plwel have? For all I know, his alternate past has him hating my guts. We haven't exactly had time to talk since 'returning' or whatever happened. And just because he didn't mention it before, that doesn't mean he hasn't had some memories triggered since I saw him last.
Realizing that lingering in the hallway wasn't going to get her any answers, she turned and walked in the room. The Life Station was quiet, a doctor working near a single bed. Which held Plwel, his eyes closed.
She walked straight over to the pretty blonde doctor who had looked up at her arrival. "I'm Captain Logan from the Callisto. How is the lieutenant?"

"I'm Captain Logan from the Callisto. How is the lieutenant?"
Cassie turned to see the gold Squadron Captain in front of her looking down at Plwel in the life tube and then back at her awaiting a response. “He is doing much better now it seems.” Cassie replied back to her. “Please come with me and I will brief you on what has happened since he arrived.” Cassie motioned to Logan to follow her back to her work station. As they walked Cassie explained…”I don’t know how much you have been told yet captain, but Lieutenant Plwel, from what I understand, experienced some kind of large explosion aboard his Viper during flight. I don’t know what that did mechanically as far as the crash in the landing bay is concerned, but the damage caused a serious leak in his on-board oxygen supply to his cockpit.” Logan’s eyes got wide as Cassie was mentioning the details to her. They had both reached Cassie’s desk now and sat as Cassie continued…”When they pulled him out of the cockpit after landing, his supply of oxygen was already depleted and he was unconscious and unresponsive. When the medical team arrived here, he was still unresponsive and was on life support to breathe. We had to use electro-shock to his tube to revive him and get his heart started again. We weren’t sure we were going to be able to revive him at all considering there was no way to determine how long he had gone without oxygen out in space before landing...in reality, he is VERY lucky to be alive. something seemed to drive him to fight to survive. He is stable now and FINALLY resting. His breathing patterns are returning to normal and he is doing MUCH better now. However, his last brain scan readout is unlike anything I have seen….take a look…”
Cassie pulled out a chart from Plwel’s last scan. She also pulled out a second chart to compare and point out the two for Captain Logan to explain. “As you can see here, this is what we would consider a “normal” brain activity scan….activity ranging between 500 – 750/800. Currently Lieutenant Plwel is ranging over 1200. That warrior has some intense brain activity going on as if he is trying to process in his subconscious yahrens worth of memories all at once. I cannot, however, determine how current they are or how far back they may go. I am not even sure he could recognize or even verbalize everything that is going on in his head. Plwel did sustain a rather hard blow to the head….hard enough to crack his helmet almost in two. It is possible I suppose he has sustained some sort of head injury we have just not been able to diagnose yet. Other than that he seems to be doing just fine. He will be sore for the next few days, but I will prescribe something to help with that. I was going to temporarily revoke his flight status, but decided against it since he is not actually going to be piloting a ship back and wait until he follows up with the Chief Medical Officer on the Callisto and let them make the final determination.”
After finishing her sentence, Cassie stood up as did Capt. Logan. They began to walk back towards Plwel’s tube as Cassie continued…”I understand you are here to transport him back to the Callisto. As far as I can tell, he is fit for the journey. I have ordered a uniform to be brought for him and once I finish copying all my medical notes to a compudisk for the Callisto CMO, you are free to go.” They had reached Plwel’s side now and they both looked down on him as he was sleeping. Cassie leaned in to Logan slightly and said in a low voice…”I think he will be very glad to see you captain. He has mentioned your name several times in his sleep. I don’t know what kind of relationship you have with each other, but he seems very personally fond of you. I will leave you two alone….please take all the time you need and let me know if there is anything else I can do for either of you.”

Logan watched Cassie move off before turning back to Plwel. Her forehead wrinkled as she looked down at him. He seemed peaceful and not in any pain.
Crossing her arms, she bit her lip and wondered at the revelations of his scans. She had a feeling that the elevated levels were probably due to his own alternate memories beginning to surface. She wondered at why Cassie hadn't at least postulated that as an option. But she didn't have time to worry about that now. If he was having a resurgence of memories, she'd know soon enough. And she was more concerned right now with why his Viper had malfunctioned.
She saw Plwel's eyes fluttering as if he was starting to wake up and she had to fight down an urge to run. Glancing around as if she could will Edan's arrival so she wouldn't have to face this right now, she found herself thinking back to her conversation with Hush. When she had told Hush this wasn't going to be easy, she had meant it. Plwel was a good person and she didn't want to cause him any pain.
Turning back to him, she found his eyese open and staring at her.
Oh boy.

Plwel was a good person and she didn't want to cause him any pain.
Turning back to him, she found his eyes open and staring at her.
Oh boy.
As Plwel looked up to Logan and seeing her looking at him as he lay there somehow brought a sense of completion to him. He started to raise his hand up to her as he softly spoke...”Anya….” Suddenly realizing where he was again and regaining his senses, he pulled his hand back and quickly followed up with after clearing his voice…”I mean Capt. Logan…ma’am….I am very happy to see you again. Now they may finally let me out of here and return back to the Callisto. They told me you and Ens Edan was coming to get me. Speaking of which, I know I wasn't on the duty roster, but I needed to get away and do some thinking, and we trade patrols all the time so I didn't think you would mind as long as someone was out there. The deck officer sent you a message on your personal comm to clear it when I made the change but he didn't get a response which I found odd. I am surprised it took you so long to get here though. Was there something more important going on that kept you?” Plwel asked her this question on purpose and looked at her intensely to see Logan’s reaction. Ever since he saw Logan with Hush in the corridor, he had wondered how much time they had spent together since then and was concerned that every centon that passed drew her farther and farther away from him. Logan didn’t show any significant changes in her demeanor, but Plwel noticed a little crinkle in her forehead as if she were really thinking of a response. Before she could say anything, Plwel spoke up again as he started to pull himself up from lying down…”Look Captain, I know there is much we need to talk about, and I am so very sorry that I got so bent out of shape and blew up at you on the Callisto. I would never do anything in a million yahrens to intentionally hurt you. The initial shock of seeing you and Lt Hush kissing was just SO unexpected and I wasn’t prepared to handle it….I never thought I would have to. I realize there is allot going on with you and many others personally as far as confusion and realities since we passed through the rift. I am trying to be sympathetic and understanding to that although I don’t seem to be experiencing the same thing. The life station is not really the place to discuss this perhaps, but I do have a possible suggestion I have been thinking about that came to me while I was out on patrol....at least how to move forward that we may be able to discuss on the shuttle going back to the Callisto.”
After Plwel had finished his statement, Logan seemed to relax her body slightly as a small grin came across her face after hearing his words like she wasn’t so “worried” anymore about something and at some level of peace. Plwel’s replacement uniform had been delivered and Cassie was bringing it to Plwel’s tube when she overheard him say to Logan…”Captain, when we get back, can I take some leave to go visit my parents on the Virgon colony ship? I have not seen them since I reported to the Callisto and would really like to see them again...It has been so long. You have not had the chance to meet them yet….Bouri and Elanna Plwel, but….” “Are you talking about Sire and Siress Plwel?” Cassie quickly interrupted as she was opening the life tube for Plwel to get up. “You are talking about Sire Bouri-Plwel…a member of the Counsel of the Twelve? I didn’t even make the connection with your last name Lieutenant. I didn't know they.... you are their son? I thought they didn’t have any children. Siress Plwel volunteers sometimes in our children’s ward and has mentioned to me several times how she loves children and she always wished she had a child of her own.” “What are you talking about Doctor?” Plwel exclaimed...”My father has not been in politics since before I was born and they rescued me and adopted me after the Cylon attacks on the colonies. You must be mistaken….my father is not on the Counsel of the Twelve. He is a retired Virgon politician/scholar who was happy to give up polotics, and he and my mother have a small little room aboard the Virgon colony ship where they live peacfully in retirement. They don't even leave to go visit the Rising Star for entertainment!” “Perhaps you hit your head harder than I thought lieutenant.” Cassie continued as she re-examined his head abrasions...”Maybe I should keep you here for further testing and observation. Sire Plwel has been a standing member of the counsel for over five yahrens now. He and Siress Plwel live on the Battlestar Callisto, and have since his appointment.”
Lt Plwel looked at the doctor then down at the floor with a confused expression on his face…He stood up as he started to put his uniform on saying…”That IS NOT possible!!!” Plwel looked with genuine concern over to Capt Logan whose eyes gave her the appearance of being in shock after observing the conversation between Plwel and Cassie. Cassie motioned for Plwel to sit back down as he continued to get dressed…”Calm down lieutenant….you have been through a very stressful and traumatic experience and need to take it easy." Cassie looked over at Capt Logan and continued...."You know captain, there may be another possibility here I haven’t considered….”

"The deck officer sent you a message on your personal comm to clear it when I made the change but he didn't get a response which I found odd. I am surprised it took you so long to get here though. Was there something more important going on that kept you?”
'Well, after that long speech, he is obviously not that injured,' Logan thought to herself. She could feel her brow crinkling at his words and her fingernails were inadvertently digging into her palm as she felt herself getting angry. She had the distinct impression he was trying to catch her in something and she didn't like it. Not one bit.
"The life station is not really the place to discuss this perhaps, but I do have a possible suggestion I have been thinking about that came to me while I was out on patrol....at least how to move forward that we may be able to discuss on the shuttle going back to the Callisto.”
His words brought her back and she realized that any confrontation would be postponed until at least the shuttle. Which was good. She didn't want a report crossing Major Skyler's desk from Cassie with the details of how one of his captains' hands had to be removed from a fellow Warrior's neck in the Life Station on the Galactica. The look on Skyler's face at such a transgression brought a smile to her lips. Sighing, she realized she was letting her emotions get the best of her and listened more intently to what was transpiring between Plwel and Cassie, about his parents.
Cassie looked over at Capt Logan and continued...."You know captain, there may be another possibility here I haven’t considered….”
Undertanding where the doctor was going, Logan nodded. "Yes, I think this is a direct result of the timeline changes so many of us are experiencing."
She looked on Plwel, who was obviously still upset as he finished with his uniform and felt a fresh wave of sympathy. Having your own parents not remember you? She couldn't even begin to imagine what was going through his head.
"Lt. Plwel, I know you're overwhelmed at the moment, but you're right about one thing. We'll go into all of this more on the shuttle ride back home."
At that moment, Edan and Guinevere entered the Life Station and stopped by the now empty tube. Edan looked grim and she was almost afraid to hear any more news.
"Alright, Ensign, spill it, " she said.

"YOu sure this is the place Captain? there is a lot to spill here." Edan had been going over Guinevere's notes on the way to the lifestation. The images she had taken were clear. No mistaking the blast point, and the damage. Edan knew from years working as an investigator witht he Council Security that this wasn't an accident.
Edan Picks up his one hand computer and types out a few things. And then hands the unit to Captain Logan.
It simply Reads, "Damage to Viper is NOT an accident. Sabatage. We're looking at attempted Murder"
"If Lt Plwel is ready to get moving back to the Shuttle, I can give you a full briefing.....After we launch." Edan moves a bit closer and speaks lower. "It's up to you how much we tell Plwel. I don't know his condition, or if he could handle this news right now."
Logan could feel real concern for his fellow warrior in Edan's words. He wasn't hiding the knowledge, not from Plwel, just wanted to make sure he was ready, physically and emotionally to handle it.
"By your leave Captain."
During all this, Guinevere stood behind Edan and just took in everything. The Galatcia's Life center had been changed a few times ovedr the last thirty Yahrens. A sure sign that guinevere was out of her time and into an unclear future.

"You sure this is the place Captain? there is a lot to spill here." Plwel looked at Edan with concern that he would ask that since he felt he had become good friends with Edan. He spoke up saying..."What does it say? Ensign??? Captain???" Bouri continued looking back and forth between the two of them awaiting an answer..."I want to know what happened to my Viper. I was told it checked out and was mechanically ready to go before I launched from the Callisto" he continued. Ensign Edan looked with concern at Plwel wanting to say something, but instead leaned into Capt Logan to say something and then concluded by saying... "By your leave Captain."Lt Plwel looked over at Guinevere who also said nothing. Now Plwel was really nervous if nobody would say anything and and said sternly..."What is it? "

"No reason to panic, Lt. The damage to your Viper should have been spotted before you were given clearance. Someone fracked this up and will be held accountable." Logan glanced at Edan to back her up. Plwel was obviously upset and with everything he'd been through since awakening, she couldn't blame him. But as a Colonial Warrior and Captain, she wasn't about to discuss this any further in the Life Station. And Plwel, while distressed, needed to get it together. She was beginning to wonder if she should approve his leave once back on the Callisto, to give him time to come to grips with everything. Her first instinct was that Skyler wouldn't allow it as they'd need all their best people for the recon to the commerce planet.
Edan simply nodded agreement to the captain's words.
"Alright, let's get to the shuttle. We can go over the details en route to the Callisto." She turned and took Plwel by the arm as Edan and Gunievere led the way out of the Life Station, helping the Warrior to his feet. "It's ok. Come on."
Logan's mind was racing and she couldn't understand who would sabotage a Viper and why. The last people they had worried about in that regard were Pierce's group and they were long gone. Then she got a shiver and set her mouth in a grim line. It hadn't occurred to her to check the records for Pierce and his cronies. Comeek especially. The thought of that greasy nut made her skin crawl and she had a stab of fear in her stomach for Hush as he had tangled with Comeek before. More than tangled, as he had gotten between Comeek and Logan. Or so that maniac thought. She made a mental note to dig into the files when they got back to the Callisto, just to be sure that the remnants of the cult were still tucked neatly away on the Prison Barge where they belonged.
They were halfway down the corridor to the landing bay when she realized she was still holding onto Plwel's arm and she quickly let go, eyes forward on Edan's back. Frack.
