"This is Gold Shuttle Two, Lt. Logan speaking. The New Secret Survival Society has taken control of this shuttle. All Colonial Military and civilian passengers onboard are alive and well. By now the other shuttle has been taken over as well. In the name of Pierce. Our God."
Skyler grip tightened on the navi-hilt. His thumb hovered over the fire button. He decided to trust Logan for the centon...
"Lt. Logan, you fracking traitorous daggit. I knew there was a reason you couldn’t wait to get on this mission. Your actions bring disgrace to your sister Kasey's memory." Skyler hoped she would catch the mistake and understand it was a signal that he understood her plan. "You will turn control over to someone not a member of the New Secret Survival Society or your survival will be limited and your society gone, just like that coward, sniveling nerf herding slug dung bastard you think of as a god."
For dramatic effect, Skyler opened a small access panel, and adjusted the settings on his turbo laser pumps to the lowest setting that wouldn't damage the shuttle and fired on direct hit. The shuttle rocked hard. If it was a newer shuttle he might be able to disable it with this method, but these were just too old. They sooner fly apart than power down. He felt confident that it would take two, maybe three of these hits, but after the severity of the blow, he didn't risk another.

She could hear Vreemer still nearby her, then his foot steps came closer to her.
Vreemer peered down at Persephone, as she continued to faked her sleeping state. Her head was still tilted back on the head rest of her seat, with her honey brown hair cascading over her shoulder to one side. Vreemer gazed at her long eye lashes and her perfectly arched brows, her lips like rose buds. Her features were delicate, that he could appreciate. Vreemer allowed himself a micron to follow the slim body line of the young warrior, with his eyes. Her breathing flowed evenly that a person should have, when a deep sleep is induced upon them.
Persephone looked peaceful. Remembering how she passed him by in the launch bay as she entered the shuttle, as he and his fellow prisoners were being searched before boarding, he wondered how such a sweet looking creature, as she looked now, could be so hard as nails and retroussé, when he motioned a kiss toward her.
The young Lieutenant had given him a cold look that could have split the ice asteroid, Arcta ,in two in one blow.
She was of a small build, so just how tough could she be, really? Vreemer thought to himself. She looks like she should be working in one of those fancy "Star Scents" fragron boutiques that were all over the Colonies, that only the rich and famous could afford to walk into. Yeah, I bet she came from a cushy place in society before she thought she could be some pathetic warrior, let alone a pilot! She 'd probably snap in two if I was to look at her real mean. Looks like the Colonial military will allow anything to be recruited nowadays!
Her arms were still positioned behind her back, Vreemer had no reason to think otherwise. A foolish mistake on his half!
All the while as the prisoner eye balled her like as if she were a Socialator on display, Persephone thought to herself, If he comes any closer, or breathes his foul breathe in my face furthermore, I swear on Poseidon's trident, I'm going to flip him on his back onto the floor in this very micron.
She had to keep her very awaken state undetected for the moment.
But suddenly, something rocked the shuttle form side to side.
"What the frack was that?" Vreemer shouted out to the others.
That, is my ticket to taking you unaware and pinning you back in your rightful place you, asterex!, thought Persephone, as she waited for the next warning fire from Skler's escort viper. Then she would do it.
She saw through her squinted eyes, Vreemer had walked away to the cockpit to talk to the others. No one else was watching her now either. With nimble fingers, she pulled Logan's rope that the prisoner's had tied her up with earlier, from her wingman's now vacated seat. She quietly coiled the second rope and tucked it into the back of her pants. Then did the same with her rope.
Looking over at the wide awake Lieutenant Hush, She caught his attention. Hush acknowledged she was wide awake too. She gave him a look that told him, she had a plan, of which she would execute in a matter of microns. Hush nodded to her that he understood, somehow.
Walking back up from Gamma Bay, having finished their latest viper checks,Triton and Sobek chatted how the viper techs would adjust the Communications Relay on Triton's ship before their first patrol.
"They've certainly done a terrific job on my Power Connector, since my last patrol. That was before you became my new wingman", Sobek explained to Triton. "My controls were all fracked up after my last combat...seemed there was a slight loose connection that just made my ship's hyper sensitive equipment unresponsive, but thank the Lords I could still land it safely back on the Callisto! So the boys will have no trouble at all in rectifying your viper's CR. That's why they're the technicians and we're the pilots! Can you imagine if I were to fix my own Targeting Sensor Dish? I'd have it so darn Astrum side round, I'd be firing at myself!!!".
Sobek let out a hearty chuckle, along with Triton breaking out into hysterics. It was the first time all day he had allowed himself to be distracted from his concerns over the shuttle assignment Persephone left on, just a mere few centares ago.
"Hey, Triton, I gotta go and catch up with some volunteer work I promised to do for Beta Company. So I'll see you later on in the Officer's Club, okay?"
"What, they got you crawling around on some of those old freighters looking for solium leaks?", Triton asked.
"Yeah, seems they can't find many to do it. So I help out when I can. Somebody's got to do it. Otherwise, we'll end up with not a lot left to our Fleet. We have to keep those old ships flying. It's all we have for now".
"Well, good luck buddy. Don't work too hard".
"Hey..beats cleaning turbo flushes!", Sobek grinned at Triton.
"Why what did you hear? Did Persephone or Helix tell you something?"
"Oh ah..no Triton, just that I heard somewhere that some poor guy was assigned to cleaning all the turbo flushes in the officer's club a few sentons ago..."
"Yeah right, like Persephone didn't make sure all of my friends in Gold Squadron's men's barracks didn't find out about it", Triton said as a smile cracked across his face and gave a soft punch at Sobek's arm.
Sobek veered away from his jesting wingman, and said. "Glad I could get a smile out of you today.."
"U-huh, think it's time for you to punch in with Beta Company, Sobek!"
"I'll see you later Triton."
The two men gave eachother a quick wave then separated down different corridors and carried on their way. Triton did feel good for a centon. But it wasn't long before his feelings came back to him about the shuttles.

Raina pushed Trula out of the way to get to the front of the cockpit. "How do I do this?" she asked Brie.
"Just talk," Brie replied. "I have it on speaker."
"Apollo," she started, purposely avoiding using his rank, "this is Raina. No matter how flippant the Widow is being let me assure you that we are, indeed, in control of this shuttle. We have four hostages aboard and are more than willing to start killing them if our demands aren't met."
Brie laughed. "Kill us with what?"
"What are your demands?" Commander Apollo wanted to know.
Raina was silent for several microns. It was obvious that she hadn't thought that far. "I'll get back to you on that. Widow, end this transmission, now."
"Would you stop calling me that?" Brie said. She flipped the switch that broke communication to Amy's viper, but kept open the line to the Callisto. She hoped that no one would notice. "Your whole group acts like I'm just sitting around, mourning Turner. Yeah, I know, Pierce killed him."
"With MY help," Trula immediately added.
"With Trula's help," Brie agreed. "But you know something? Turner was reckless. If Pierce hadn't had him murdered, he would have been killed by the Cylons by now anyway, and I'd still be just as much a widow. So reminding me constantly that he's dead really isn't hurting me nearly as much as you seem to want it to. I've moved on." She paused for a micron, not wanting anyone to ask her HOW she had moved on. "But enough about that. The Commander wanted to know your demands. So Raina, what's your plan?" Brie noticed that the other former prisoners all turned and looked at Raina. If there was an organized plan, they obviously didn't know what it was.
"I'm...we're..." Raina stammered.
"Making it up as you go along?" Brie asked. "Let me help you out a little bit. Obviously life on the Prison Barge doesn't sound all that great, what about a habitable planet? We're in a new system, we could drop you off somewhere. Scanners indicate that there might be a couple of good places around here. And with Trula cooking...just think of what she could do with the local produce!"
"Are you mocking my cooking?" Trula wanted to know.
Brie ignored her. "Of course the problem with that plan is that I would be leaving and taking my crew with me, so you wouldn't have any men. But that would be okay, because the thought of any of you reproducing..." Brie shuddered.
Raina stared hard at Brie, obviously thinking. "It just so happens that we DO have a plan. Millie, set our course for the Rising Star," she ordered. "Set it on auto-pilot if you have to."
"The Rising Star?" Brie repeated.
There was venom in Raina's voice. "The rich and privileged of the fleet are about to come to their end. Trula, Shawney, help Tanya, take her seat back from the Widow. We won't be needing her anymore."
As Trula and Shawney pulled Brie out of her seat and shoved her behind them a horrible realization came over Brie. She knew exactly what Raina planned to do. "You'll do this over my dead body."
"Over ALL of our dead bodies," was Raina's cold reply.

On the Callisto bridge bits and pieces of the conversation could be heard. It was fairly obvious that most people on the shuttle didn't realize that their conversation was being transmitted. Unfortunately no one was speaking close enough to a microphone for the Callisto to hear everything clearly.

Commander Sheba looked horrified. "How far are they from the Rising Star? Time wise?"
Joey tapped a couple of keys in front of her. "A little over a centar, Ma'am."
"Start an evacuation of the Rising Star. Give the order, now!"

"Lt. Logan, you fracking traitorous daggit. I knew there was a reason you couldn’t wait to get on this mission. Your actions bring disgrace to your sister Kasey's memory. You will turn control over to someone not a member of the New Secret Survival Society or your survival will be limited and your society gone, just like that coward, sniveling nerf herding slug dung bastard you think of as a god."
If the situation hadn't been so serious, Logan would have laughed. Lords bless him. Skyler was good at this sort of thing. Considering the fact that she doubted he had suddenly forgotten the name of his deceased fiancee, his slip told her he understood waht she was doing. And his vitriolic diatribe against her should help solidify her position as one of the Society for all the prisoners in the shuttle.
Before anyone had time to react, the shuttle rocked violently. Okay. Maybe he's too good at this sort of thing. Another hit like that and subterfuge would be the least of their worries.
"WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE SEVEN HELLS IS GOING ON HERE?" Roxzanna-Rizou's shriek was almost at a volume to cause the shuttle to shake again. "I'll have you know that I am an important employee of the IFB and can't be trussed up and disregarded like...like...like some ailing daggit!"
"Can't you keep her quiet Vreemer?" Chip was looking harassed. "Ivan, go check the rest. They should be awake by now."
Ivan didn't question, but his expression clearly showed that he wasn't happy. He was here to pilot and once again, he had been circumvented by a woman. Logan took the opportunity to make sure the channel to Skyler's Viper remained open.
"You're going to have to gag her," was Logan's response to the tongue-lashing that was echoing throughout the ship.
Logan figured that N'Rondar and Persephone should both be conscious now too.
"What do we do now?" muttered Comeek.
"Get the other one up here. Hush." Chip motioned for him to take the co-pilot's seat as he brushed past Comeek, who was staying very close to Logan. Comeek seemed to have gained new confidence after hitting Logan. His eyes were fierce and spittle was hanging from his lip.
Logan had the feeling that Chip just wanted them where he could keep an eye on them, still not fully trusting their stories, no matter what he said to the contrary. And the fact of the matter was that having experienced Colonial pilots at the helm worked to his advantage. It had kept him alive a bit longer anyway.
"Change course. We're heading back to the Fleet." Chip seemed to have made up his mind about something.
Logan couldn't help but notice her scanners showing the other shuttle, just about out of their exterior scan range, seeming to veer off course as well. She had been guessing that the other shuttle had been taken over when she had blustered through her earlier speech and it now seemed that she had been right. She still didn't know how the prisoners had not been effected by the gas, but they had obviously been innoculated against it's effects somehow.
Chip seemed to consider before he spoke. He was watching the scanners too. "The Starliner Alpha."

Commander Sheba looked horrified. "How far are they from the Rising Star? Time wise?"
Joey tapped a couple of keys in front of her. "A little over a centar, Ma'am."
"Start an evacuation of the Rising Star. Give the order, now!"
Triton had just entered the Bridge hoping he could have a centon of Commander Sheba's time to thank her again for her comforting words she spoke to him earlier, when he came up to watch the shuttle's launching form the Bridge monitors. He was right behind her when the broken words came across an open channel from the shuttles.
"What's going on Commander?" Triton's blue eyes now racked with more worry than before. His gut instincts were confirming all his thoughts that didn't leave him alone all day.
"Triton"! Sheba said as she spun around to face him. "Now there's no need for panic. We are taking precautionary measures to ensure maximum safety to the civilians and anyone else on the Star Liner".
Sheba turned back to the consoles and the bridge officer who she was engaged with at the time of the matter. Triton could only feel like there was a cylon sword ripping through his stomach right now. "What do you mean precautionary measures? What are you expecting is going to happen? Please tell me Commander?"
"We're not entirely certain what's going on, but Triton you should be aware that the shuttles are ....now in the hands of the prisoners."
"But..how? what are they planning to do with this take over? " Sheba looked gravely at him.
"They're planning something life threatening aren't they? You said to evacuate the Rising Star..that means the shuttles are heading right for it!"
"Triton, we have to stay calm. We're GOING to do all we can to make sure what ever the prisoners are planning to do is not going to happen".
All he felt like doing was jumping into his viper to set out for the shuttles, but what tactic would he employ to intercept the prisoner's plans to ram the Star Liner?"
"Is there something I can do, Commander?"

Those idiots! Lieutenant Noddy thought as she was watching the scanner on the Galactica's bridge. Their orders were very clear. Pick any ship that you want, except stay AWAY from the Starliner Alpha and the ships around her. Normal traffic must be allowed to continue around the Starliner Alpha. Now it seemed as if the second shuttle was headed straight for her. If Commander Apollo decided to suspend travel to the ship or worse yet evacuate...Noddy cleared her mind and reached out to her Master. He had put her in her position on the Galactica's bridge for a reason, he would let her know what to do.

"The Alpha?" Logan's mind was racing. She had a sudden clarity of thought that pure adrenaline in these types of situations became like second nature to Colonial Warriors.
"Yes, the Starliner Alpha! Just do it!" Chip seemed frenzied, unsure. Logan decided to try to push him pst the breaking point, a tactic that could work for her or against her.
"Pardon me, Chip. But if you're looking to ram this shuttle somewhere I would have thought that one of the commerce ships or the cruiser housing the Council of Twelve might be a more appropriate target." Hush looked at her quickly. He was almost smiling at her bravado but an undercurrent of warnign was there as well. He seemed to be very intuitive and she wondered if he had picked up something from Chip that she hadn't. But the words were already out of her mouth.
Comeek was looking at Chip who was wringing his hands in consternation. "No...No! I don't care who you are or what your part in this plan may have been, but I'm in charge here and now."
Deciding not to press her luck, Logan lowered her head meekly and set the controls for the Starliner Alpha.
"We've got a problem back here!" Ivan yelled from the rear.
Chip was looking back over his shoulder and then back at Logan and the controls so fast that he seemed to be twitching. "You. Go see what it is." He was talking to Logan.
"Me? But I'm flying the ship," Logan didn't want to give up her position if she could help it.
Chip wiped the back of his hand over his lip, his eyes darting to Hush. "Transfer the controls. Pretty boy can take charge of it for a micron."
Logan did as she was told but locked out navigational control to the pilot's station. Comeek on her heels, she moved past Chip to the rear. He took her vacated seat and stared at the void beyond the viewscreen and then started watching the path of the other shuttle on the scanners, as if hoping for some sort of inspiration.
Ivan watched Logan and Comeek exit the cockpit. Logan saw that Persephone was feigning sleep and Vreemer was standing beside her, but for the micron his attention was farther back. Duran seemed to be sleeping again. Ivan was kneeling on the floor by the bulkhead nearest N'Rondar and Rizou, the latter of which had a strip of gaudy green cloth stuffed in her mouth and tied around her head. It seemed Ivan had taken her suggestion to gag the reporter literally.
At Ivan's feet was Sid, who was out cold. "What happened to him?" Logan asked.
Ivan ignored her and addressed Comeek instead. "That shot from the escort. Sid must've hit the bulkhead. He's got a lump on his temple. Breathing ok though."
"Leave him there. We don't have time for this," Comeek's complete lack of concern for his co-conspirator made Logan ill. "I'll tell Chip." Comeek moved back into the cockpit.
"At least pull him out of the walkway," Logan's tone was gruff, but not for the reasons Ivan thought. "Help him, Vreemer."
Vreemer moved to take Sid's feet as Ivan grabbed him under the shoulders and they started to move him out of the way. Logan took the few precious microns she had and leaned over Persephone, as close as she dared, apparently checking her restraints. That a girl, she thought to herself as she saw that the new lietenant had already managed to remove her bonds. Glancing at the men still struggling with the beefy Sid, her eyes never leaving them, she whispered in Persephone's ear. "Wait for the signal."
She stood back up and moved around Vreemer and Ivan, who had successfully moved Sid. She made a show of checking Rizou, N'Rondar and Duran's bonds as well.
Comeek re-entered. "Chip says just to move hi..." He stopped as he saw that the situation had been handled. Ivan stood up and went back to stand by Rizou who was glaring daggers at him and anyone else who had the misfortune of looking in her general direction.
Vreemer positioned himself beside Persephone again as Logan and Comeek went back into the cockpit.

The second shot from Skyler's viper rocked the shuttle, keeping the male prisoners on their toes. "We've got a problem back here!" Ivan yelled from the rear.
Rizzou kept her voice at the pitch of that annoying shrill she had, complaining about the way she was being treated.
Like she wasn't the only one tied up. Well that's not completely true right now, Persephone thought, I DID just become one less bound. She smuggly smiled to herself.
Meanwhile Ivan, looking not too happy at being thrown out of the co-pilot's seat, quickly glanced at Persephone noticing she was awake, but moved straight over to Sid.
Persephone gave a quick nod at Logan.
Vreemer positioned himself beside Persephone again as Logan and Comeek went back into the cockpit. Persephone started to pretend a slow awakening, opening her eyes gradually.
"Hey! Another one is awake too now!",Vreemer shouted.
The other prisoners glanced back to see for a micron but returned to their present interest.
"Well, good morning sunshine", Vreemer said greasily, as he stood up and moved in front of her. Persephone just gave a sarcastic look at him.
"You better check someone's chrono, because the last time I looked, before I was gased, that is, it was more like near to midday".
"Well, it doesn't matter, sunshine, cause, time will be irrelevant very soon, where you and the rest of you warriors are going", Vreemer replied, looking very pleased with himself.
"REALLY? Then you won't mind if I go on a little photon ride, would you?", Persephone added sweetly.
"What the frack is a photon ride?" Vreemer pursued to ask who he thought was probably a very weak warrior.
Not very bright this lot, she surmised.
"Oh- ahh..a photon ride is..." Persephone, still pretending her wrists were bound, was really pulling her coiled rope out from the back of her pants that was concealed under her combat jacket, and grasping it in her right hand, while grasping the other rope in her left hand, as she continued to explain the law of quantum physics........ " ... energy particles being everywhere at once."
"Oh you're gonna be everywhere at once alright, Lieutenant. A little bit of you here and a little bit of you over there, when we're finished that is..." Vreemer looked quite mad in the eyes now, as if he were honing in on a Triad ball...although, that wasn't any REAL threat, now was it? Not with his history of loosing Triad championships with his side-kick, Sid, he added, " and along with everyone else....", he paused and then formed his palms into a display of something exploding.
"KA-BOOM!!", he said out loud.
Roxanna looked over at their conversation in sheer horror, continuing to whine, even with her mouth gagged and looking near to crying, in fact.
Persephone looked unchanged at Vreemer, "Actually, I was meaning in the present tense of being everywhere at once".
Vreemer cracked a stupid laugh and smile over at Ivan who wasn't looking at him at that micron, but instead was busy having a glaring competition with the IFB reporter.
As Vreemer turned back to Persephone, who was playing him like a barraton, he added his last words.
"Well, why didn't you say so sweetheart....all you had to do was ask. I think we could arrange something. Maybe we could use the turbo flush compartment".
Persephone could have thrown up at that point, but instead she thought it best to save that for later. As Vreemer became increasingly obnoxious and turned on by this young warrior, he leaned in toward her. "My master would be very pleased with me. Let's go be everywhere at once, sweetheart."
"Oh, I'm sorry, did you misconstrue my meaning? I meant ME being everywhere AT ONCE!!!" As soon as her words were spoken, she knee-ed him in the place that painfully disables any man for many millicentons, then while still seated, she used her feet, employing the old scissor action, wrapping an ankle around each of his, then manoeuvred her legs in an upward jerk, pulling Vreemer clean off his feet causing him to be momentarily air suspended. Loosing his balance, the prisoner landed with a loud thud on the floor.
Ivan didn't know what had happened, as he turned back to see what the commotion was.
Vreemer still writhing in pain from Persephone's promise of "BEING EVERYWHERE AT ONCE" to him......in his groin, at his ankles, and now his back had siezed up on him as well, together with a head ache approaching from the fall.
"How did you like my little photon ride then?" she asked sweetly.
Vreemer groaned in pain with the addition of having hit his head rather hard on the shuttle's metal floor, when he landed.
"You'll pay for this!", Vreemer managed to spit out at her.
"Oh, c'mon...You should be happy I showed you a little attention. Isn't that what you wanted?". Persephone answered.
But none of Persephone's brave act went by unnoticed by the other prisoners. They heard all the noise and soon Ivan, Commeek, and Chip were chiming in together in a chorus of "What the Frack is going on?".

I was heading to ascension lift when my personal comm. went off.
"Major JustinB, this is Major Joey, Report to the bridge ASAP."
"On my way," I replied.
I doubled back as fast as I could towards the direction of the bridge. After knocking over a few techs and a few civilians and a few centons later I was at the bridge. When I entered, the bridge was alive with activity.
I saw Major Joey standing next to Commander Sheba and made my way over to them in a hurry. Before I could say anything Commander Sheba started.
"Major, what do you know about Gold Squadron's mission?"
"Not much Commander, only that there was some kind of transfer of prisoners."
"Major, the prisoners being transferred, were from the Pierce insurrection. Don't ask me how but they have taken over the shuttles and our people are now the prisoners."
My heart skipped a couple of beats cause I knew Brie was in one of the shuttles. Keeping my composure I looked at the Commander.
"What are my orders?" I asked.
"Major I have ordered you patrol vipers to be equipped with a form of EMP missile. That should slow the shuttles down and stop any havoc they may cause but keep our people alive till will sent a team to the shuttles. Is that going to be a problem with you?"
"I don't know what you are talking about Commander," I replied.
"Good, May The Lords Of Kobol be with us."
I ran towards the bridge exit as fast as I could. As did I heard Major Joey asking Commander Sheba a question. "Why would Major JustinB have a problem firing on the shuttles Commander" I didn't hear the reply as I was now outside the bridge.
Centons later I was in the Launch Bay. As I entered I saw that Zane was loading the last of the two missiles on my viper.
"What's going on Major?" came the question from my three pilots at once.
"I'll explain when we launch, now get into your vipers, don't wait for lunch clearance and switch to the combat frequency two point O O seven."
"Yes Sir"
I lunged in to seat and closed the canopy. Microns later I launched. When my patrol was on my wing I explained the situation to them.
"Holy Frack!!" was Dolet's response.
Hold on Brie, I am on my way. I just wished she could hear my thoughts and be comforted help would soon arrive. I just hoped we weren't to late.
