Commander Apollo had just finished a private, coded communication with Commander Sheba. She had filled him in on her plan involving JustinB's patrol, and told him about the broken message from Gold Shuttle One. He had been hoping that Raina would contact him again but it hadn't yet happened. Checking the position of the second shuttle, he made an announcement to the Galactica's bridge crew.
"Attention everyone. It looks like the two Gold shuttles are under prisoner control. Commander Sheba and I believe that they intend to ram the Rising Star and the Starliner Alpha. Both ship are being evacuated. We are also suspending all travel to those ships until further notice. Omega has worked up a plan, telling each station what to do. Some people will be helping with notifications, some rerouting ships, others with the evacuation plans. Any questions, ask Omega, Rigel, or me. We don't have a whole lot of time."
Noddy wasn't sure what to do. It wasn't supposed to happen this way.

As Brie was pushed on the floor she forced her way in between Jorma and Janey. She was still feeling a bit queasy but tried not to think about it. The former prisoners had started to argue with Raina about her plan, so Brie took advantage of their leaving her alone. Her hands were still bound in front of her. She reached into her pocket and found what she had hoped would still be there. They had searched her for weapons but had overlooked the key to the cuffs. She undid her own, then slipped the key into Janey's hand. After Janey was free Brie tried to do the same with Jorma, only to realize that the security officer was tied with rope instead of being cuffed. Strange. Making sure that no one was watching, Brie quietly untied the rope. She didn't worry about Brik, a half nod to her told her that he was already free. She wasn't surprised. As the women continued to argue Brie thought carefully about what they needed to do. Four against five, not bad odds, and they had the element of surprise on their side. Brie took a deep breath, shifted her weight, and screamed, "NOW!"

After JustinB left the bridge, Sheba returned her attention to Triton's question.
"Is there anything I can do, Commander?"
"Yes, in fact, if you're not busy with any other duty, then you can report to the Launch Bay, and you will be assigned with Flight Sergeant Eridanus to co-pilot another shuttle with him on a direct path to the Starliner Alpha . I've already alerted and sent our available pilots to fly as many of our shuttles that we can spare over to the Rising Star and Star Liner Alpha to carry the civilians to safety. Three have already prepared to launch. Two sentries accompany each shuttle to help in maintaining order with the people. We'll be splitting the loads of civilians between all available Callisto shuttles and Galactica shuttles. For the moment we'll bring whatever people our shuttles carry, back to the Callisto, while the Galactica accommodates the other half, until this whole thing is over with. Do you know who Sergeant Eridanus is, lieutenant?"
"Yes, I do Ma'am", Triton's eyes were livened now with the opportunity to assist in doing something to help. Otherwise he felt he would go mad being cooped up on the Callisto without something constructive to do in this prevailing situation.
"Good. I'd rather have a new pilot with an experienced one, and doing something that will be of great help in saving innocent people's lives, if things do come to term.
We already have other experienced viper pilots ready to launch to assist in the matter. There's not much else you can do, Triton. You have your orders.", Sheba added, her face serious yet feeling sympathetic to Triton's concerns.
"Thank you Commander. I'm on my way to Alpha Bay now", he confirmed as he gave a respectful nod to his Commander.
"Dismissed Lieutenant".
Just as he was turning to leave, Sheba added.
"Oh Lieutenant!"
"Yes Ma'am?"
"One piece of advice. I know you're worried about your friend. We're all concerned about all those warriors and personnel on those shuttles, and we're going to do everything in our power to get them back safely. You can bet on that. So it's important that you to keep you emotions in a professional manner while you're on duty. It'll do more good that way".
A half relieved smile tried very hard to spread across Triton's face, appreciating Sheba's gentle advice. Sobek had already given the same advice to him earlier, just in different words. Gee, I must look like I'm going to either loose it or kill someone, he thought.
"You can count on me Commander".
"Released Lieutenant and good luck. ", Sheba said as she gave him an encouraging smile. She watched him leave the bridge, thinking to herself, He reminds me of Apollo more every time I meet him. A heart that's always in the right place, ready to protect and defend those he cares for. He'll be a fine warrior.
Triton strode down to Alpha bay at light speed, eager to reach his shuttle. He could think only of Persephone and if she was alright. He adjusted his holster and put a hand on his laser pistol. It reminded him of the good he enlisted to do as a warrior. He had to be in control, and concentrate on assisting the evacuation.

As the women continued to argue Brie thought carefully about what they needed to do. Four against five, not bad odds, and they had the element of surprise on their side. Brie took a deep breath, shifted her weight, and screamed, "NOW!" Waiting for any signal that Brie might give, Brik's body was a large spring of unpleasantness waiting to release. And release it did. Coming up from a prone position faster than one might expect, Brik rose to engage Shawney, his fist already on its way to the target. He still wore his combat gloves. As a group, the Secret Survival Society was ruthless, conniving and highly dangerous. As individuals he had found them to be, so far, insecure, unprepared and inept. They also lacked any real practice at acting as a team under emergency conditions, usually leaning instead to jealousy and mistrust. As if all that weren't enough, they were inexperienced, it seemed, at actual combat...that's why they either ignored his gloves as a potential threat or simply overlooked them altogether. This all boiled down to one thing for Shawney... In one fluid motion Brik came from the floor and "dotted her frackin' *I*", as his father used to say. Contact was established between her jaw and Brik's fist...along with re-enforced micro-armor plating that just happened to conduct a small amount of electricity, just enough to provide a little disorienting shock as opposed to full unconsciousness. Given that Brik's fists fit a similar description, the spin that she made after contact shouldn't have been the surprise that it was. In a truly passive way that he would remember and review later, there was satisfaction in the fact that everyone watched the woman spin. The big man found himself wondering if she was going to be awake after she landed. But that was a thought for later and he had no time...he needed another target...and there was Millie...

The woman sat on the shuttle, the precious bag at her feet. She hoped that they would have enough time. No one was really sure how long Kumarbi would sleep, if he were to wake up soon it would be very difficult to explain why she had a baby in her luggage. But it would be fine, this was the last shuttle they had to take until Kumarbi would reach his new home.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot. I regret to inform you that all traffic to the Starliner Alpha has been temporarily suspended. Keeps your seats for now, hopefully it will just be for a centar or so. I will keep you informed as soon as I receive any new information."
The woman tried not to let her panic show. They were so close! Why would the flights be suspended? Did someone somehow know what was in her bag? What if Kumarbi started to cry? Master Pierce she prayed silently, please let me know what to do!

Holt/Pierce was in the quarters on the Starliner Alpha that he now shared with Challa, getting things ready. He hadn't yet told her what was going on but she wouldn't have a problem with it. She would do anything that he asked, he was sure of that. "One convert at a time," he said to himself.
Challa entered the room. "Hello, my pet," he said to her. "Please sit down, I need to talk to you."
Poor Challa looked horrified. "You're breaking up with me."
Holt smiled. "No, my pet. Not at all. I have some good news I want to share with you. I...we..."
A klaxon sounded. Challa immediately jumped up to see if she could find out what was going on. She contacted a friend who explained the situation. "It's an evacuation," she then told Holt. "Apparently one of the shuttles transferring the prisoners who had followed that madman a while back is now in their control, and they intend to ram the Alpha."
Holt sprang to his feet as if he was on fire. "Then we must go, my pet."
"I have to stay here," Challa replied, "to help with the patients. But you go. Just hurry back to me."
"I will." Holt gave Challa a quick kiss then headed with the masses for the evacuation. Whoever is responsible for this will pay he thought to himself.

As they sprang to their feet Janey immediately went after Tanya to try to get the co-pilot's seat back. Brik took on Shawney. Jorma...well...Brie wasn't really sure where Jorma was. She didn't have time to think about it because suddenly both Raina and Trula were charging her. Brie easily took care of Raina, one swift punch to the jaw and the smaller woman fell backwards, into the wall. Now it was Trula's turn. Trula came at her, Brie grabbed her arm and pulled it around behind her back...they both stopped and watched for a micron as Shawney made this strange little spin before falling. Brie was extremely grateful that she and Brik were on the same side. If Gold Squadron ever starts a triad team...Trula jerked around, breaking Brie's thoughts. Trula looked possessed. Although older and in nowhere near as good shape as Brie was Trula filled with hatred, a powerful weapon. She grabbed at Brie, and they both went tumbling to the floor. As Brie was about to get the upper hand her stomach took control and she threw up all over Trula. "Oops," was all that Brie had to say.

Ivan, Comeek and Chip all yelled "What the frack is going on?" Ivan turned from his stony staredown with Rizou to see Vreemer on the deck at Persephone's feet. Before he had a chance to move at all Rizou was standing up, hands still tied behind her back, gag in her mouth, the spiked heel she was wearing crashing down onto Ivan's foot. Evidently prisoner-issue boots were thin as he screamed out a curse and bent forward, his head meeting Rizou's upswept knee with enough force to dislocate his jaw.
N'Rondar sat with his mouth hanging open as Ivan crumpled to the floor and Rizou kicked him in the side.
Comeek and Chip had both started to leave the cockpit to investigate the mayhem."Now!" Logan screamed as she jumped from the pilot's seat. Hush had tackled Chip before Logan had finished saying a word. The two men scrambled on the floor and Logan almost tripped over the sprawled legs as she reached Comeek, who was standing lookign at her with complete disbelief on hs greasy visage. The force of her momentum knocked her and Comeek into the passenger area, leaving Chip and Hush struggling in the cockpit.
Comeek arms closed around her, vicelike. This wasn't the same man she had overcome so easily back on the Agro Ship. The smell of his fetid breath was strong in her face as he leered at her."What's wrong, my pet. Not as soft as last time, eh? I'll show you who your true Master is!" His bearlike embrace was constricting her breath and he moved his face close to hers.
His lips mere centimeters from hers, she gasped out, "That's...what...you...think." Her right hand closed on a very sensitve area of the male anatomy and she squeezed, hard. The distraction of her touch and the pressure she was exerting caused him to loosen his grip a fraction. It was all she needed.
Still grasping his groin she turned in his grip and put everythign she had into the elbow to his solar plexus. His intake of breath and the slackening of his grip followed. She turned to face him and gave him an uppercut that put him on the floor.
With Comeek out of the way she could see that Persephone was taking care of Vreemer. And Rizou was sitting on top of an unconscious Ivan, cursing through the gag and digging her heels and fingernails into every inch of the man she could reach.
N'Rondar sat with his mouth open, a glazed look in his eye.
Logan sighed heavily as she grabbed some rope that had ended up on the deck in the melee and tied Comeek as tightly as she could. "So much for waiting for my signal', she muttered under her breath as she mused on how lucky they all were that their actions had paid off.
Hush poked his head out of the cockpit and grinned at Logan. "So, this is waht being in Gold is like?"
She looked over her shoulder at him and returned the smile. "Sometimes. I'm thinking of recruiting Rizou actually."

As Shawney landed (none too softly, which was just fine) Brik took in a few details...he saw Janey engaged with Tanya and had seen Brie's excellent jab to nail Raina and wondered if the Major had ever played Triad, she had the aggression and the control, a rare combination. And she had courage...she never flinched when charged by two quite venomous opponents and laid one quickly to the floor. That's my Major! he thought proudly!
In the rather small amount of time that he experienced these things, he also noticed that Jorma was not to be seen and he wondered as to the officer's welfare.
As he drew back to engage Millie he saw that her gaze had followed Shawney all the way to the deck and now locked on Brik with abject fear and paralysis.
So he threw a fake shot past her (which she never tried to block or evade), bringing himself close to her face...and yelled a loud battle-cry at the closest possible range.
Her eyes rolled back into her head before closing and she fainted dead away.
This surprised and alarmed him more than any battle would...he had been prepared to fight her, and he had meant to scare her, perhaps into surrendering without combat. Making her swoon was simply un-intended and unexpected.
So after knocking one criminal out cold in one punch...he quickly caught another and lowered her to the deck, taking care not to damage her head. The irony was not lost upon him.
He quickly used the remains of the warriors bonds to tie up Shawney and Millie (much better than his own restraints had been, he noted with pride).
Standing by to assist Janey and Brie should they need help, he expected to have nothing to do since they were both highly trained (this could be said for all Colonial Warriors) and quite capable. But he remained alert just in case. Also...
He wished for a bowl of snacks from the O-club on the Callisto, he always liked to have them when watching a fight.
EWW!!!! Well, after what Brie had just done to Trula, he found himself now glad to be snack-less. Good thing that he'd not had a muffin during briefing. He chuckled to himself, thinking that if anyone now regretted Brie having a second muffin, it was Trula!

Out of the corner of her eye Brie saw that Janey had overcome Tanya, who was now lying on the floor. She had also noticed that Brik had carefully lowered Millie to the deck. She would have to ask him later what he had done to her. She still didn't know where Jorma had gone but didn't have time to think about it.
Trula seemed to have a renewed burst of determination after having been regurgitated upon. "What's the matter, Widow?" she taunted as they wrestled on the floor. "Bad batch of bovine stew?"
That was all it took.
Brie was alone in the quarters that she shared with her husband when the door opened and Turner entered. "I'm sorry, Honey," he said as he gathered a few things, "I'm being sent on patrol. I'm leaving in 10 centons."
"But you just got back from patrol a few centars ago," Brie protested. "And we're both supposed to be on leave for the next six cycles. They promised."
"That was before my entire squadron ate lunch," Turner explained. "Bad batch of bovine stew, almost all of them are in sick bay. Ensign Cal and I are the only ones who didn't eat any." He gave Brie a kiss. "See, being a vegetarian has its health advantages. Don't worry, it's just a routine patrol. And they told me that we would both have ten cycles free when I get back. Just you and me." He walked towards the door.
Brie grabbed his arm. They kissed one more time, the type of embrace they always shared before either of them left the Galactica. "I love you."
"I love you too." Brie stood outside the door and watched as Turner walked down the hall for the last time...
With more force than she even knew that she could muster, Brie had Trula pinned down, her hands around the murderer's neck. She didn't realize how hard she was squeezing, didn't notice the color that Trula's face was turning, all she could see was Turner walking away, never to return.
Although she was having a hard time getting any air, Trula let out a small laugh. "You going to kill me, Widow?" she forced out.
"No." Brie snapped out of her past and let go of Trula's neck.
Trula reached her hands up and rubbed her throat. "I didn't think you had it in you," she said between gasps for air. She was obviously defeated.
"It's not that," Brie said. She stood up and started to look around for something to bind Trula with while holding her down with one foot. "I just didn't want to make myself as despicable as you are. I couldn't lower myself to your level."
"You'll never be on my level, Widow," Trula spat out, the correct color starting to return to her face. "I am so far above you. Master Pierce will reward me for my devotion to him."
"Reward you how?" Brie asked. "HE'S DEAD, for Sagan's sake!"
"You can't kill a god." The voice came from behind Brie, not from any of the prisoners. She suddenly knew where Jorma had been and what she had been doing during the fight. Brie felt the all too familiar sensation of a laser against her temple. Jorma was one of them.
