Note:Hey Everyone, I thought to get things moving onto the next story line, I would begin a new chapter. Forgive me if I haven't named the chapter number correctly.. :-[Quite frankly, I'm not sure how the numbering is supposed to follow suite in concordance with other chapters... So, Core Command, correct it if need be. Thanks! Triton's alarm began beeping, his eyes slowly opened. Is it already morning? he thought to himself. He heard others stirring in the bunks nearest to his own. Helix was already awake, and peering down below at Triton from above in his top bunk. "Hey Tri, mornin'!' "Hey Heleee-ix..", but a yawn got in the way, as his blue eyes closed momentarily as he exhaled deeply. The next thing he saw as he finished his yawn, was his bunk mate and friend hoping down to the floor and walking toward his locker. "Hey Helix, mind if I hit the turbo wash before you go? I have a meeting in 45 centons". The medium sized young ensign turned back to answer his friend. "ahh, sure Triton. What mission are you on today?" Triton rose to his feet, pulling on his robe from the end of his bunk, and replied, "I'm on assignment with gold squadron. I have to meet with the group and the Commander." "You're going on assignment? That's great Tri. You go ahead, I'll take my turn in the turbo wash after you." "Thanks buddy". Triton patted Helix on the shoulder as he grabbed his uniform and things, turning to head for a wake up shower. He really needed it right now, as the previous day's events was still catching up with him. He wondered how his girl was feeling this morning. He couldn't wait to see her face and how she'd look when he walks in to the conference area to join her and the rest of the team for the meeting. He was looking forward to this initiation, and to lending his abilities to help search for the missing captain.

The med tech checked Persephone over for any residual effects from the events and trauma from the day before.
"You're in fine health Lieutenant", he remarked.
"So I can go?", Persephone asked, anxious to return to Gold Squadron quarters.
"Yes. I'm giving you this to take with you. Just apply some of this balm to those bruises and scratches every day until they're healed", the med tech replied, happy with her otherwise good vitals.
Persephone hoped out of the examining chair, taking the balm with her. She gathered up her jacket, to make her way back to quarters.
She approached Logan, who was finally getting those tangles out her hair with a brush she'd found.
"Captain, I'm all finished up here, so I'm going to head back to my barracks , take a turbo wash, get a fresh change of uniform, and some breakfast before the meeting with the Commander and the rest of the group".
"Sure Lieutenant. The meeting's in 45 centons, don't be late", Logan responded, smiling at her young wingman.
Persephone acknowledged it returning the smile, as she turned and left the med lab.
As the doors slide open, Persephone breathed in the different yet seemingly fresher air that circulated in the corridors. Though the air in the med lab was understandably possessing that sterile and medicated scent, it felt good not to be inhaling it anymore. She wanted to feel like she wasn't sick with anything, as sleeping in a bio bed made you feel as though you were, after a night in one. She knew she felt perfectly fine, and simply desired normality again.
Triton must be waiting for her! She thought with joy, she couldn't wait to see him.
But before she could even get down to beta level where her barracks were, a familiar form was approaching her from ahead.
A figure dressed in a sentry uniform with blonde hair, brown eyes and a huge smile came closer to her.
"Persephone!" Lysander called out to her.
"Lysander! Hi, how are you this morning?", she replied.

"I'm just fine Pers. Boy am I happy to see you're looking so well today, y'know after yesterday's ordeal ".
"Yeah..." she smiled while putting one hand to the back of her neck. "I'm fine Lysan".
"Well, I'm just glad those grid lice didn't hurt you...", he paused, but quickly added, "..and your team too".
"Thank you for your concern Lysander. We're all just fine".
Persephone took a moment to think what next she wanted to say to the sentry.
"Ah, Lysan, before I forget, I wanted to thank you for the very lovely flowers you sent me last night. My friend, Misty Star told me you dropped by my billet with them for me".
"You're welcome, Pers. It was my pleasure." he shifted nervously from one foot to the other.
"Well, it was very sweet of you, however, I think I should tell you that I am seeing someone presently, and I wouldn't want you getting the wrong idea about our friendship..."
Lysander interrupted, "It's okay Persephone, really. I just wanted to give you those flowers as a friend. Nothing more intended". He smiled trying to cover he was actually saving himself from giving away his true feelings.
Persephone sighed relieved, replying, "Oh, well that's... fine". She smiled back at him.
There was a moment of silence before the two of them simultaneously spoke.
"Well...I have to be getting on to my quarters , ...my duties....I have a meeting soon".
Realizing they both were saying practically the same words, they stopped and chuckled.
"Jinx!" the sentry joshed.
Persephone laughed.
"Well, I better let you go, Lieutenant, it was nice seeing you, and have a good day, Pers".
"Thanks , and you too".
They nodded and went their own ways, onto a new day.

As Persephone winded her way to her quarters, she watched for signs of Triton in the corridors.
She was upon her billet entrance with still no sign of him. Waiting for a few more microns just outside before going inside to her billet, her eyes flicked about the direction of Gold Squadron men's quarters, but only the faces of other warriors passed through the area.
Her mind was momentarily distracted by her memory of two nights ago in the Star Deck Room with Triton. She thought he looked like a handsome god that just descended from a heavenly abode. There he stood, dressed in a ceremonial cape and finery waiting for her, to share a wonderful evening together. The starfield outside the window twinkled behind him, music filled the room , and soft candles glowed all around. She saw the image of them dancing tenderly, as they did in each other's arms. Their conversation that flowed, telling stories of their memories on their home worlds. Everything was perfect. Persephone felt like she was on a dreamy cloud among the stars.
She glanced up and down the corridor once more, then decided to go into her quarters and take that long awaited hot turbo wash, and a change of uniform.
My Gods she was starving too!

Capt Stadia read the reports that were stored in her terminal. The last few days have been stressful to say the least. Leaning back in her chair, her eyes slid closed.

Realizing the time was beginning to run away from her, Persephone finished drying off after her turbowash and scrambled to dress in a fresh uniform, and head for her breakfast.
As she adjusted her tunic fastening at the shoulder, her fingers had become slightly entangled with the necklace she was still wearing that Triton gave to her. She pulled the rest of the chain out from under her tunic, and held the diamond pendant in her fingers. Watching the light from above her reflect in the stone, she concluded it was an opulent gemstone, indeed.
Knowing Triton wanted her to never take it off, she tucked it back underneath her uniform. Grabbing her hairbrush, she ran it through her long brown honey hair, and proceeded out of her quarters and head for the Mess hall for nourishment.
The halls and corridors were abuzz with movement. She weaved her way through the personnel and warriors passing her by. Suddenly thoughts of her time under the gas from the shuttle transfer of the prisoners came back to her. Deep in an unconscious state, and her astral body projected into another place and time, she remembered her mother, Carina standing before her, looking like an angel, speaking with her through the mind only. Persephone felt as though a tear was about to well up in her eyes, as her mother's message came back to her of her brother, Ganymede still being alive somewhere on the Fleet.
She had to tell Triton of her news and experience. She had to find him. He would help her locate Ganymede. Hopeful, she glanced quickly around the Mess hall for a sign of Triton. Only, someone else was standing behind her, clearing their throat, before they began to speak.

After having washed and shaven, Artus tried to apply for a new uniform. The one he had been wearing all this time was starting to get a bit ripe. And it would be a shame to have to put it back on again now that he himself was clean. Or at least cleaner than before.
This however left him with the slight problem that in order to get to the quartermaster’s office, he would have to traverse several corridors. He could put the old uniform on now, and change when he was issued a new one. But that would mean having to put the smelly thing on, and having washed, Artus wasn’t sure he wanted to do that.
The other option was to walk through the ship wearing nothing but the towel he had draped around his waist. This would no doubt inspire other warriors to make various dubiuos comments, plus he might actually be put on report by any officer he met for not wearing a proper uniform.
However, Artus was convinced that he could probably explain anyway. And any sense of shame that he might have felt had long gone since he had joined the Colonial military. The last bits that may have been left had since been scraped away by his long imprisonment.
So he folded up the dirty old uniform. Because it may have been dirty and old, it was still the uniform of a Colonial Warrior, something he was usualy proud to wear. And just for that, it deserved to be treated with respect.
He then adjusted the towel around his waist, picked up the uniform, and made his way to the quartermaster’s office.

"Uh..Lieutenant? Are you intending to jump the queue here? Am I going to have to report you to your C.O.?" Persephone's face turned to that almost alike to a cervus in the headlights of a hover mobile. She turned around to see who was speaking behind her. "Eridanus! " she expressed delight to know it was only the Sergeant making jokes. "Hey Persephone. " The tall warrior chuckled. "I'm sorry, was I in the way?" "No, of course not. I was just teasing. However, we do persecute line jumpers very seriously in the mess hall, and ah..if you're going to make it a habit to butt in before a very hungry pilot, well, you're going to have to take your chances." Eridanus kept a straight face, even putting his hand on his holster. "Okay..okay! Don't shoot, I promise, to get back to the end of the line", she said as she raised her arms in the air adding further to the banter. "Are you looking for Triton by any chance?" "Yes, as a matter of fact I am. I don't suppose you saw him?" "No, sorry. I haven't see Triton since we co-piloted a shuttle yesterday to help evacuate passengers off the Starliner. By the way, I'm really glad you and your team are okay after that ordeal. But..it comes with the territory of a being a warrior. It's a risk everyday. But I think you know how to stand up to that". "I know. Well, thanks anyway, Erid. And thanks again for your kind help the other night, with the Star Deck Room and all". "Don't mention it. It was my pleasure. Besides, I owed Triton one. Hope you two had a real nice evening". "We did, thank you. Oh..I'd better get to my rightful place in the breakfast queue." "Oh don't be silly, lieutenant. You stay right where you are. You look like you could use a real good morning meal period." "Thanks Sergeant. I am hungry!" Persephone's own stomach growled now. If Triton were beside her, he would have made a joke about it by now. ******************* Triton was now making his way to the mess hall now that he was awake after his turbowash. Before reaching there though, he thought he saw a man heading toward the quarterman's office on Beta level, clad in nothing more than a towl around his waist. Triton stood for a centon staring at this spectacle. He'd never seen any officer dare to do this, not during his time on the Callisto up to the present. He wondered who is was. Had some of his bunkmates stolen his uniform for a joke? Or did he have genuine reason for being without one? In any case, it was a bold action. As the towl drapped figure came into closer proximity to Triton's vision, he noticed who it was at last. I s it who I think it is?, he wondered. No, it couldn't be. The last he'd heard about him, he was being held in a cell, he further thought. But without a mistake, he recognised the man to be no other than... Artus!

As Artus was walking down the corridor, he saw another warrior staring at him. Obviously the other man could not take his eyes off him. Artus smiled. He might have been incarcerated for a long time, but obviously he still had what counted.
He stopped and looked at the other man. The guy looked familliar to him. If he could only think of the other man’s name...
The Artus realised who it was. It was Trident, the guy that Persephone had seemed quite fond of at the time. Well, Artus couldn’t really blame her. The guy did look kind of cute. And there was something flattering in the way he kept looking at Artus, that put the trademark grin back on Artus’ face.
“So...” Artus said, leaving in a deliberate long pause: “See anything you like?”
After all, he had been in prison for a very long time....

Triton stood waiting for the cocky remark that inevitably came to match with the sly grin on Artus' face.
".....See anything you like"? the towel clad lieutenant asked, as he approached the dark haired, blue eyed warrior.
Triton simply stood tall, putting his hands on his hips and with a firm gaze he replied, "Well now, that depends if you mean, do I like the trend you're trying to set in a new standard uniform? Then no. Somehow I don't think it would protect you much from G-Forces in a viper cockpit, not to mention other things".
He raised his chin now, staring straight at Artus and further added to answer his egotistical question. "Or do you perhaps mean do I like seeing that you've obviously been released from your grid cell, Lord knows why though?, then, I have to say I have mixed thoughts on that one."
He could perceive all too clearly the look on Artus' face that he was only too pleased with himself by the way he could annoy the felgercarb out of Triton, just by standing in the same corridor. However, Triton was determined not to let Artus see that. He played it cool on the surface alike to a anaseran, but paddling like mad underneath to keep afloat, or In Triton's case, to stay calm and unruffled.
"Maybe you ought to find yourself a uniform before you loose the one you wearing, Lieutenant." Though Triton wasn't Atrus' senior in rank, regardless of him being Artus' senoir in age, he was still a new lieutenant in comparison to Artus' military history. Nevertheless, he felt he ought to make him aware of his less than professional appearance at this centon, regardless of the fact that he had been in the brig for sometime, and justly so.
