After Skyler left Brie sat down and relaxed. The smile wouldn't leave her face. She was happy, happier than she should be. She tried not to think logistically, the truth was that she had just left her job that she had loved more than life itself, was unsealed but pregnant, and had just cheated on her boyfriend by kissing another man. But she and Skyler had shared so much and had held things in for such a long time, she couldn't help but be happy for a few microns.
"What do you think we should do, Little One?" she asked, rubbing her stomach. She was growing used to the idea of having a child, a blessing that she hadn't wanted to give away the first time. "It's not just my future that my decisions are going to affect. Yeah, you're right, I need to send a message to your Daddy. What do I say?" Brie stared at the blank computer screen, not having the faintest idea what she should write to JustinB. "Promise me you won't ever be like your big sister or me and fall for two guys at the same time."

Skyler felt like he was walking on air as he entered his quarters. He grabbed a fresh unifrom from the closet and took a quick turboshower. In just under a centar he had a meeting with Sheba. It would feel weird being there as the new CO of Gold Squadron. For the last eight yarhens Brie had held that honor. Now she was transfering into Training Command as the Head of the Callisto Warrior's Academy. As he dressed he opened his desk drawer and pulled out the small black velvet covered box and opened it. When Brie had been put on trial he had received a Brevet Promotion to Major. He had never been happier to lose a promotion before in his life. Now he would be able to pin it back onto his collar. He straped on his laser and threw his jacket onto the back of a chair and accessed his computer. He would need to name a new SIC for the squadron. Amy would be his first choice, if she wanted it, if not Brik. Depending on Amy's response he would need a new Third Officer.... Logan was his other choice. There, the hard part out of the way. He checked his chrono, time was ticking, 30 centons to go. He sent Amy a quick message, grabbed a swallow of water and his Jacket and headed for the Bridge....

In the small hallway outside Comeek's cell, Logan leaned against the wall and placed her hands on her knees as she took the first deep breath she had allowed herself since the shuttle landed.
Ghim was speaking with the two guards who it seemed would be replacing their counterparts on either side of the greasy little man at the security desk.
Hush was leaning on the wall beside Logan, his head back, the light from the open grates overhead casting shadows on his face.
"Would you like me to have someone escort you back to the landing bay?" Ghim's gruff voice broke into Logan's exhaustion. "I have to go over the particulars with Snobbins," he indicated the little man at the desk, "he's a tyrant over paperwork. Could take a while."
The Chief looked none too happy about his upcoming exchange with Snobbins. Logan could tell he was more a man of action than a desksitter.
"No, that's alright, Chief. We can find our way out. I appreciate your cooperation." She shook the man's hand, as did Hush.
Ghim had already walked away and joined the man called Snobbins at the end of the hall before Logan pushed herself off the wall.
"Ready?" Hush was giving her that intent searching look. She knew he was accessing her ability to walk down the corridor. She couldn't help but return the probe. The two Warriors were both at the dropping point, but knew they couldn't stop until the job was complete. Getting the prisoners stowed away was like having a weight lifted. Now they had to get back to the Callisto and report. Maybe there would be rest after that.
Logan nodded and they exited the hallway, into the one beyond. The prisoners were quiet and only the cough of one of the guards by the door gave any indication that this wasn't a rusted out relic of a ship with no inhabitants. They moved through the doubledoors and into the grubby corridor that would lead to the landing bay.
The lights flickered in the grates overhead and a spark in the wall to their left caused Logan to jump. She was tired and turned to Hush to make a joke about it when she realized he had stopped walking. He was frowning. Instantly she froze and concentrated on her surroundings. The light flickered again and then went out to stay.
There was movement in the corridor and a grunt and Logan felt hands close around her arms.

Stadia was signing some paperwork regarding the shuttle when she noticed a flickering of the lights. The first thought popping into her head was"oh no! not again." She pushed the thoughts out of her head and continued to prepare the shuttle
Stadia's mind wandered to her past....

Brik had been talking to the newest Lt. in Gold Squadron: "Well...Persephone isn't it? Let's have the message!"
Before the young woman could answer, the lights flickered then went out entirely.
Out of instinct he reached for Persephone's arm as the light began to flicker so that he could be sure of her position should darkness come. It came. "FRACK, this day just keeps on going." He sighed in absolute fatigue mixed with more than a hint or raw disgust. "Lieutenant, I think I need that message immediately. And by the way, you wouldn't have a blaster would you?"

As the large lieutenant grabbed hold of her arm, she replied to his question about Logan's message, as the lights flickered.
"Ahhh, simply that she asked me to collaborate with any of the other members from the other shuttle to put together a report about todays events, so I can file it once I get back to the Callisto. By the way, I am glad to see you are alright, Lieutenant." She peered into Brik's weary face, and looked behind him to see Janey still straggling along.
Brik's face was furrowed at her, still waiting for anything else to enlighten him about Logan's current state.
Persephone added, " Logan is fine, Lieutenant Brik. She's with Lieutenant Hush. Are you up to making a few notes with me, before I try and head back to the Callisto? Oh and perhaps you might want to accompany me back?...or I'll just co-pilot with Janey?". Persephone had no idea what next to say.
The corridor lighting flickered again.
Brik and Persephone looked above themselves.
"What do you suppose is going on?", she asked.

Logan realized the hands on her arms were Hush's at about the same time she felt his lips on her ear. "Don't move."
She didn't nod or even breath, but knew that her stillness was all the answer he would need or expect from her. Even under the veil of exhaustion, her strained muscles tensed under his fingers. He didn't even back away from her as he stood at her side, his breath on her neck was light as if he also were afraid to exhale too loudly.
There were indistinct voices up the corridor. Where they were coming from, she had no idea, but there was a sound like metal against metal off to the left and ahead.
A pinprick of light was shining on the deck at the point where the noise originated. The light skittered across the celing, exposing the deckplates, wiring and innards of the barge's corrupted interior. The person holding the light scanned the corridor with it to his left and then back, towards the place where Logan and Hush stood immobile. The light flashed against the access plates for a circuit box on the opposite side of the corridor from Hush and Logan. A few feet and they would be seen.
Another grunt and the light disappeared. "Watch out, you fool. Hurry up and access the hatch."
"Just making sure of the all clear."
Logan was surprised her involuntary intake of breath didn't give up their position, but she felt Hush's grip intensify urging her to remain silent.
The second voice was unknown to her. But the first was unmistakable. Comeek.

Brie filed her full report on the prisoner transfer, then checked the status of the rest of her team. No one else had yet returned. She hoped that the prisoners hadn't tried anything more. She felt slightly guilty about having left early, but with her injury everyone would understand.
Sitting back, Brie stared at her again empty screen. She knew she needed to send a message to JustinB, but had no idea what to say. She decided to still scramble the communication, although once people discovered that she was pregnant it would be obvious that she was the mystery redhead. Finally, she started to type.
JustinB,
Commander Apollo has requested that I see him on the Galactica. I really need to see you when I get back. There are some things that we need to talk about.
I do love you, Brie
P.S. I've left Gold Squadron. I wanted you to hear that from me.
Satisfied, she sent the message, then decided to try to get a few centars rest.

"Okay everyone, lets get our weapons ready just in case. I want two of you posted here in the shuttle bays and the rest of you, I want you to check all the prisoner cells. I have a bad feeling about this situation." Everyone moved to assume their positions. Stadia moved with her flashlight and gun out in front of her. Sliding slowly out of the shuttle bay, she swings her flashlight back and forth. Turning toward the direction of the prisoner cells, she slowly advances.

Hmmm...Given the events of the last little while (seems like weeks) Brik's instincts and experience screamed loudly that this outage was no accident. Even on this barge the emergency systems should've been activated by now, specialized craft like the Prison Barge always had priority in parts and repairs.
"Lieutenant, I think that we should get back to Logan and see what's going on. If nothing else it may help for us to be in one location, strength in numbers and company."
He looked at Janey with a questioning expression, he knew that none of them were in great shape and in no mood for another battle. And unarmed. She new all of this as well but had the reserve of strength and will that was a traditional hallmark of a true Warrior. She nodded grimly and started down the corridor in the direction that Persephone had come from, stopping and looking back after a few steps. "Lieutenant Persephone, care to do the honors?" Janey had made a sweeping you-first motion with her right arm. Persephone took point with Brik and Janey walking together into only Lords-knew-what but they went together and with a right good will.
