They came out the other side of the access hallway straightening their uniforms as they walked. They no sooner entered medlab when they ran right into Major Dorlan, leader of Bronze squadron. He glanced at his timepiece and eyed them both suspiciously.
"Lt. Janey" he said. "for an emergency you sure took your time getting here. What's your condition?"
"I hit my head, sir" she replied. "...on a bulkhead..."
"On a bulkhead" Dorlan repeated, not quite satisfied. "Well, the assignment was going to be yours, but Lt. Ally here will suffice."
"Assignment sir?" Ally asked.
"Lt. Ally" he said formally, "Consider yourself now part of C group. Get your gear and head for the launch bay."
"But sir" Ally said hesitantly, "Lt. Janey is my wingman. In group A?"
"No longer" Dorlan replied. "Get your gear and report to the launch bay."
"But---" Ally started, more in shock than anything.
"MOVE!" Dorlan shouted. "When we jump and rejoin the fleet I want C group standing by, ready to launch!" Ally swallowed hard, turned and left the medlab.
"And YOU..." Dorlan began.
"Me sir?" Janey asked, unsure where all the heat was coming from.
"Yes you" he replied. "When medlab clears you, proceed with the solium leak containment crew to shuttle four."
"Solium leak containment?" Janey asked haltingly.
"Did I speak Gemonese?" Dorlan asked loudly. "Listen and listen good: What you do on your own time is your business, but mine is running this squadron. When your business gets in the way of my business, I'll do what I have to in order for the squadron to run smoothly! Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes sir" Janey said meekly.
"For whatever reason" he went on, "you and Lt. Ally have been a big distraction. No longer."
"I understand sir" she said.
"I'm not sure that you do" Dorlan said, his voice quieting down. "Don't take this as anything other than what it is. I don't disapprove of anything you have done. As long as it wasn't a sideshow, it was fine. Just now in the briefing room, it became a sideshow. Understand now?"
Janey nodded. "My head really hurts now."
Dorlan tilted his head toward medlab. "Go." He stood with his hands behind his back as he watched Janey report to the desk, then turned and left medlab.

Edan had nothing to do now that he wasn't going to launch with the patrol. Well, not entirely true. He had things he needed to think about. Based on what little he remembered, and what had happened so far since returning to his time, Every member of black Squadron had it out for him. And several other warriorts were not williong to even give him a chance to prove himself right. They didn't want to take the chance that he'd hit them, or he was still more loyal to the Council Security forces.
He couldn't talk to Guinevere, since she was on patrol right now. So, he didn't know what to do. Unless he ..... "Yes, that's what I'll do." Walking with apurpose, Edan took the next left and made his way to the Lifts. a short trip on a lift and Edan exited into another corridor. And as he turned into a doorway, he found himself staring out into the controed chaos of the Bridge. He could See Colonel Charybdis And Commander Sheba at their stations. Major Skyler was still on the bridge as well. But he wasn't here to talk to any of them. No.
Edan moved along the Perimeter of the Bridge, staying out of the way, but walking with a purpose. He kept taking in the sites, but never paused in his trip. that is till he reached his destination.
Moving into the Computer annex, Edan took a seat at an empty station and keyed up a record search. typing in his name. The Annex might not have been the best place for him to access his Military and Security records, but with his position as an officer and his access codes. He could bring up Read only copies of all his records here.
He looked over his Military record first. The Dates of his 2 Transfer requests were wrong. Well, it was wrong that there were 2 Requests, but the first Request was dated 2 Yahrens earlier then he remembered. this one was listed as closed due to assignment. A quick switch to his Security record showed him on a deep cover assignment on the Electronic Ship Celestra at the time the First Request was granted.
"I've never been to the Celestra. Have I?" as if in answer to his question, memories flooded into him. Working as a Fleet Shuttle pilot, flushing out a currupt Celestra Security officer selling experimental Computer interfaces. a Meeting with Commander Apollo after the arrests.
Edan switched back to his Military record. Request For Transfer 2 granted almost immediately. Edan looked to see which recruiting officer granted this request. and his jaw almost hit the deck. Commander Apollo himself approved the transfer. He looked at the date. A yahren and a half earlier then he remembered becoming a Warrior.
He was assigned to Black Squadron. Service there for a yahren and promtion to Lt. Assigned as Training Section leader for the Squadron. He'd be in charge of all the new Ensigns joining the Squadron.
There, about half a yahren ago. Incident report from altercation aboard the Riising Star.Squadron Furlon, DRunken Brawl breaks out in Casino. Another officer, Lt Hermes, had begun berating several younger warriors. Fleet security responded, as did Colonial warriors. Edan had been nearby, moving to defend the younger warriors. There was alot of questions about what happened next.
Some said that Hermes just fell, others, including most of the Blackshirts said he was reching for one of the Warrior's Lasers, but Edan had picked up one of the chairs between him and Hermes and hit him in the back knocking him down and out. Teh chair had broken apart and hit other members of Black Squadron. Not surprisingly, most of these Warriors were friends of Hermes and swore the assault was unwarrented.
Edan and Hermes both stood before Tribuneral. Edan was cleared, but reduced in Rank. being told he wasn't Security anymore. To let them, be them Civilian or Military do their job. Commander Sheba, recognized that Edan wouldn't be welcomed back into Black Squadron and immediately transfered him to Gold Squadron.
That's all there was, except a notation from Major Skyler saying that so far, Ensign Edan was performing as well as any Warrior in the Squadron.
"Do you remember what happened to Hermes?" Came the stern female voice behind him. Edan turned around Major Joey.
"I'm trying to remember major. But to be completely honest, This is not the Past I remember clearly."
"Yeah, figures you'd say you were one of the ones with dual memories. Hermes was released from Colonial Service. he couldn't even get an assignment as a Security officer or Shuttle Pilot. He's a Agro Tech. A Warrior now working as an Agro Tech. Regardless if it's true or Not ENSIGN, I suggest you stick to the Dual Memory story, AND stay with your New Gold Buddies. If there is nothing else you need here, Your time alot ment in the annex is over. Dismissed."
There was no reason to stay now, he had his answers. Not that it cleared everyting up for him. But still.
"By your leave Major." And Edan reversed his journey to the Annex and left the bridge.

Bulk-up and Hush entered the Bronze barracks, nearly getting knocked down by Ally as she was leaving. She carried a pack filled with gear. She said nothing but gave them both the look of death as she passed.
"That's flight gear, Ally" Bulk-up pointed out, confused as he noticed what she had in the pack. Then to her back he yelled, "Group C has the flight assignment, not A!" But Ally never looked back as she left the barracks, her heavy footsteps echoing in the empty room.
Bulk-up turned to Hush, pointing to Ally with a thumb. "That was flight gear in her hands." Hush nodded, then shrugged. A noise from further into the room drew them to Janey, who was at her locker half undressed. She looked up at them with a cold look but continued what she was doing silently.
"Where's Ally going with flight gear?" Bulk-up asked.
"Ally is in C group now" Janey replied, stopping what she was doing long enough to say the words before pulling out her de-com suit. In spite of what medlab had given her for the pain, her head still pounded as she bent over slightly to step into the suit. "She's part of the back-up for the jump mission/fleet rendezvous."
"But you two are wingmen" Bulk-up said.
"Not anymore" Janey replied. "Thanks to you."
"Me? What did I do?" Bulk-up asked, truly clueless.
Janey stopped after getting both feet into the suit. "Thanks to your little outburst in the fracking briefing room of all places, Ally and I got reassigned. How the frack that we get punished while you and your big mouth get off without anything, I'll never know."
"Aw, that's not right" Hush said.
Janey pulled her suit up to her shoulders. "Neither is this" was all she said, indicating the suit and putting one arm into a sleeve.
"Solium leaks?" Hush asked.
Janey nodded. Her lip quivered, but only for a moment.
"You just got off that gig a few sectons back" Hush recalled.
"And thank you for the update" Janey snapped as she put the other arm into the suit and zipped it up. "You couldn't just let it go, could you, Bulk-up? You had to remind everyone that you sit on your brains and make a scene just before the biggest briefing in like, yarhens!"
"You made a scene too!" Bulk-up said, his voice rising.
"You provoked me!" Janey yelled back. She stepped into her boots and snapped them up. She grabbed her de-com gear. "Now just leave me alone, will you?" She stepped forward to go around them and Bulk-up grabbed her arm to stop her. Her gear dropped to the floor and Janey shook her arm loose as Hush moved to get between them.
"I'm sorry for the rotten assignment Janey" Bulk-up said, "But you give me too much credit. Besides, does it matter if you and Ally aren't wingmen now that you split up? Maybe I did you a favor."
Janey glared at him with fire in her eyes, then picked up her fallen gear with an angry swipe. Without another word she left the room. Bulk-up stood there, a confused look on his face. "What?" he asked Hush.
"Nice job" Hush said as he too made his way to the door.
"What the frack does that mean?" Bulk-up hollered. "Can't somebody in plain fracking colonial english tell me what is going on around here?"
Hush turned at the doorway. "It means Janey just pulled the worst task we ever do around here, and she thinks you are to blame for it. And what do you do? Remind her that she also broke up with her girlfriend. So, I say again: nice job." He turned and left the room.
"It's that sensitivity training" Bulk-up shouted after him. "That's what's to blame. Everybody is too fracking sensitive!"
"That's not what sensitivity training means, you idiot!" Hush answered back, turning left and getting away from Bulk-up.

Logan walked with purpose towards Black Squadron's barracks. She had taken the time to calm her emotions on the way there and was breathing easier now. Warriors and crewmen saw the look on her face, that cool regard they were used to but with an underlying iciness that made them move a bit farther out of her way. No one spoke to her and she was glad for that.
Reaching the entryway to the barracks, she almost collided with a Warrior who was leaving, helmet under his arm. "Just the man I was looking for."
Dolet's eyes widened in surprise and the sudden slump of his shoulders spoke of a strong desire to melt right into the deck. "Uh...Captain. I have duty."
"I'll walk you to your ship," she said as she took his arm and guided him into the corridor, only releasing him once she seemed confident he wasn't going to run away. "Quite a mess we're in."
Dolet looked quickly at her and back again to the corridor in front of him. "Yes."
With no further information forthcoming, she moved in front of him and blocked his progress. A couple of his Black squadmates passed them and shot Dolet sympathetic looks, but quickened their steps.
"Captain, my patrol..." he started.
"Will still be there when I'm done." Her feet firmly planted and Dolet sighed in resignation.
"Ok, Dolet. I'll be brief. What do you know? Do you have both sets of memories or what? What happened to you before we got there? Is this some sort of cosmic joke and where do these alternate memories come from? Which ones are real?"
Dolet blinked. That's brief?

Logan said "Ok, Dolet. I'll be brief. What do you know? Do you have both sets of memories or what? What happened to you before we got there? Is this some sort of cosmic joke and where do these alternate memories come from? Which ones are real?"
"Cosmic joke?" Dolet exclaimed. "Here's a cosmic joke for you. I've got people from all over coming up to me. Some want to break my face for finding that lords-forsaken rift in the first place. Others think I'm some sort of chosen one, with all the answers to... like everything! So don't go thinking you're the first one to think 'hey, I think I'll talk to Dolet!'"
He looked at her, wishing it wasn't like this. There was a time, so long ago it seemed, that he thought of nothing besides Logan, a dream he'd since given up on. And knowing the things he knew now, it was just as well he'd never tried.
"I had a thing for you once, and that's the only reason you're getting anything more than I gave the others. Yeah, I've got more than one set of memories. I've got so many my heads gonna burst! Where they come from I don't want to know. And you shouldn't either. Some things you shouldn't go poking into, got it?"
"And what happened before any of you got there" he concluded, shaking his head, "uh-uh. Not even after a night draining tankards of ambrosia will you get anything out of me."
"So go deal with whatever dramas and traumas you've got, and leave me to mine. If I'm not ready to launch when we jump to the fleet, I'll have more trouble from Major JustinB than anything you think you've got to deal me. So step aside, unless you want that pretty head of yours bouncing off the deck!"

Skyler stayed on the Bridge longer than he had planned too. He didn’t know if it was because of the planning, which he was not really needed for, or the mixed memories he had for Kellie at the moment.
If he closed his eyes and really willed himself to, he could remember images of her blaming him for her Father dying, but it was more like trying to remember scenes from a bad movie, or worse, a nightmare. The happy memories of him and Kellie planning their lives, the painful memories of her death are what were strongest to him. The ones that prevailed in his battle to remember what she knew as the past they had shared. What would he say to her, how would he act. He knew she hated him and wouldn’t just come running into his arms, or allow him to hold or even touch her. He figured he would be lucky if she would even speak to him
Out the corner of his eyes he had seen Edan sneaking into the computer core, as many had done to confirm or deny the current events they found they do not remember. He too had conflicting memories of Edan, ones that put him joining the squadron under different circumstances. Regardless of how he got here, one memory he had for the Warrior was one of respect. Edan was a welcomed edition to the squadron.
Skyler knew he could not hide on the bridge much longer and decided to leave in a few centons when he got an opening to do so.
As fate would have it, the first person he ran into on his way to his office was Kellie. They both stopped and stared at each other. The emotions displayed in their eyes were at the opposite ends of the spectrum. His was sheer joy, elation over seeing her alive. Her eyes full of hatred at even seeing him. Before he could muster any words she broke the silence.
“Look Major, I understand that there are several different sets of memories floating around in peoples head. I gather that in your memories I died, well I wasn’t that lucky. I will never forgive you and Logan for not being there to save my father.”
“Kellie, I don’t know what to say, other than if I could change the past I would. If I could trade places with your father to make you happy, I would…”
“Don’t hand me that felgercarb Major, because trust me, if I could have it my way, you would be more than welcomed to trade places with my father, and yes, that would make me happy… and don’t think because we are talking now it changes anything it doesn’t. Its like I told you before, I have to work with you, I do not have to like you, so if there is nothing else Major.”
“Kellie, I don’t fully understand what happened, or why things have changed, but I am happy you are alive. You can hate me all you want, and one day I may understand why, or even really remember why, but until then I am happy you are alive.”
“That’s makes one of us… now can I leave Major?”
“Yes, you can leave Kellie.”
“Oh Major, I know you may not remember this either, since you don’t seem to remember anything else, but my friends and loved ones call me Kellie, you no longer have that rite. You are to refer to me as Lt. or Lt. Kellie, or I will go to Col. Charybdis with a formal complaint, understood?”
“Yes Lt. you have made your point. You are dismissed.”
Kellie proceeded down the corridor with a determined pace to get away from Skyler and he just watched her go. She hated him worse than he allowed himself to believe from his memories. He hadn’t killed her father. Frack, he remembers him being killed on Caprica during the attack. What else would he find all fracked up….?

She had been backing away as she spoke and turning quickly she almost ran down the corridor in the opposite direction that Kellie had taken, leaving Plwel standing alone. Bouri stood there watching as Capt. Logan quickly took off down the corridor and disappeared from sight. He had no idea when he would see her again other than in an official capacity. The hallway filled with warriors and other personnel moving to prepare for the upcoming jump. Plwel turned around to walk to the Officer's Club to have a drink before he had to report for posting when the urge suddenly overtook him that he needed to get off the Callisto for awhile to think. Plwel quickly changed his destination plan and departed down the corridor. As Plwel headed to the barracks to grab his helmet and make his way to the Alpha landing bay, he tried very hard to get Logan out of his mind...but every attempt seemed to fail. "I guess she will come to me when/if she is ever ready." Plwel thought to himself. He then suddenly stopped and said to himself..."But what if she doesn’t come back to me…..what if she doesn't choose me and actually gets sealed to Lt. Hush? What will I do?" Plwel further said as he continued to walk..."Perhaps it would be better if I was just out of the picture all together and let Logan be with Hush." Plwel finally thought to himself although in his heart that was not what he wanted at all. In the landing bay, technicians and crews were busy preparing Vipers, shuttles and other support equipment for the upcoming jump protocols. In launch tube #4 was Plwel's Viper being worked on by a technician. "Now is my chance!" the tech said to himself with a low toned laugh added. Comeek had made his way back to the Callisto as well and had not forgotten Plwel's interference in his revenge plans with Logan. Since things were so busy in the bay, Comeek easily obtained the proper technician’s clothing and made his way into the bay to Plwel's Viper. Without anyone asking a question, he got into the main engine conduit and set a timed solonite charge powerful enough to disable Plwel's vessel and effect his life support to malfunction and disable his oxygen supply. "Oh no Lt....I won't blow you up and let you die that easily....I want you to suffer and feel pain like I will make your precious Logan suffer." Comeek thought to himself as he heard a voice behind him..."Is she ready to go for patrol then?" Comeek turned around to see his sworn enemy, Lt. Plwel standing there facing him. He bowed his head down so the Lieutenant could not get that good of look at him while securing the engine hatch door saying "Yes sir....just double checking that everything was ship shape in preparation for your next missing....sir." "Very good then...thank you." Plwel replied. Comeek quickly climbed down from the vessel and departed the area without saying another word to the Lt. but with a very evil grin he thought to himself as he departed..."Have a good flight Lt. Plwel...I hope you DON'T have a safe patrol. I will make sure Logan is taken care of when you are gone...." The lead deck officer approached Plwel as he started to climb into his Viper..."Just a moment Lieutenant...your not on the duty roster. You do not have clearance to launch." Plwel continued to climb into the cockpit as he replied..."I need to log some star centars and will take the next Gold Squadron short patrol rotation. Just send Capt. Logan a comm message...she will authorize it." "Very good sir, but I should get authorization before you depart." the deck officer replied but knew Capt Logan had been flexible in last minute changes in the past, so made the appropriate change to the roster and sent a personal communication to Capt Logan to notify her. As Plwel did he pre-flight and prepared for launch, he noticed how clean and "new" his Viper looked. "This doesn't seem right." Plwel thought to himself. "I know this fighter was heavily damaged in our battle over the colonies. How did they fix it so quickly? " Just to make sure Plwel verified the vessel number in the ID plate in the cockpit....it was his assigned Viper number. Plwel just shrugged his shoulders and proceeded with launch. Since this wasn't deep space patrols, new policy set by Commander Sheba, due to the low number of trained warriors on hand, allowed warriors to patrol alone within close proximity of the Battlestar when no threat was in the immediate area. "Callisto control this is Gold 3 requesting permission to launch for short range patrol." The bridge launch control responded saying.."Permission granted....transferring launch control to Gold Viper...launch when ready." With that...Plwel hit his turbos and thrusted himself out into space................

As Plwel was clearing the launch tube from launch, the deck officer sent a personal communication to Capt Logan notifying her of the patrol change to Lt Plwel instead of Ensign Edan. Out in open space, Plwel found some comfort and relaxation being among the stars with the Battlestar in close proximity. As he tried to concentrate on his maneuvers and patrol routes, his thought wandered again on Logan and everything that had recently happened. " How will I ever make her choose me?" Plwel thought to himself. Immediately Bouri shifted his thoughts to his parents. He had not seen them for so very long since he first left for the Callisto for assignment as a new warrior. "The first thing I need to do when we meet up with the fleet is go visit them." Plwel further thought to himself..."They will be able to help me figure this whole thing out."
As Plwel continued on his patrol thinking about various things and then eventually concentrating on trying to replay his memories of the colonial battle they had JUST recently gone through. He kept playing the scenario over and over...in graphic detail of his entire involvement but each time could not conclude how he left the battle and how he and the rest of his shipmates got back to the Callisto from the battle and why he had no recollection of the jump back from the colonies. It vexed him very much.....perhaps his father could help explain it to him when he saw him again.
Lost in his thought and before he even realized it, a little over a centar had passed as Plwel checked in with the Callisto Bridge to report his status and visual/scanner results as was procedure. All was secure with no activity around them for at least a sectar. Plwel had just received clearance and was preparing to return back to the Callisto when he heard a loud noise behind him which shook his Viper violently. The lieutenant could not see that well behind him but he noticed ship debris from his fighter scattering away from both sides of him and immediately concluded there had been an explosion of some kind. Plwel fought to control his ship as the stick and control became nonresponsive. Plwel immediately got on the comm link…”Callisto this is Gold 3…..I think I am in serious trouble. I have experienced some sort of malfunction and explosion in my main engine compartment…debris separating from my Viper…..main engines are out…maneuvering thrusters are out…I am on heading 168 mark 2. I will pass over the Callisto into open space in 5 centons.” Plwel waited for a response from the Battlestar but did not hear anything…..”Callisto…do you copy!!!!” Plwel said as he started to get a bit nervous. He looked down at his controls. All of his instruments were in chaos and it took every bit of his strength to keep the Viper from starting to spin out of control for if that happened without stability power there was no hope of anyone being able to rescue him and he would parish in space.
As he continued to look at the panels, Lt. Plwel noticed his environmental display reading he was leaking oxygen from his on board life support system….”OH FRAK!!!!!” Plwel yelled within his cockpit. He immediately opened his comm channel again almost screaming…”Um Callisto….this is Gold 3 three. New problem…even more serious problem….life support system now failing leaking oxygen.…estimate 10-15 centons of oxygen left at current dissipation rate. CALLISTO PLEASE RESPOND!!!!” Plwel again heard no response from the Battlestar command.
Back on the Callisto, somebody had been listening to Lt. Plwel’s transmissions. Comeek had been monitoring communication traffic from the flight deck Duty Officer’s control station and had overheard the incident Lt. Plwel had been reporting back to the bridge. He grinned again as he flipped a switch on the console to jam the communication of the distressed Viper to the Callisto and disappeared into the shadows once again.....

As Dolet went on, Logan's eyes, which started out in wide open surprise, became more narrow with every word spoken. Dolet, being obviously frustrated, didn't notice.
She crossed her arms when he was done and stared at him. She didn't say anything for a few microns. Dolet's face was red and she saw him shifting his feet like he wanted to skirt past her.
"Lt., first off, the last thing I want to hear from you is that you used to have a thing for me. Lords know, I can't handle anymore felgercarb on that front. Secondly, regardless of your squadron, I am your superior officer and your tone alone is worthy of a report to your Major JustinB." She let that sink in before continuing. Dolet had gone a little pale, but his facial expression hadn't changed.
"Now, listen to me, I know it's hard on you in your position, but I'd think you'd want to figure out why all this happened. Maybe what happened to you when you went through that rift had something to do with why all the timelines or whatever they are have gotten all mushed together. I don't know, but we are still Colonial Warriors with a responsibility to the Fleet and each other. Now go report for your patrol."

Dolet laughed, just a little, as if wondering if he should take it any further.
"Captain" he began, "Threats are meaningless to me at this point. I'd love nothing better than a nice, quiet, solitary confinement away from all this.... lunacy. So please, don't wave around the rank card. If you want to play it, play it already."
"You talk like this is fleet business. It's not. Not even close. It's personal. Personal for everybody. Those with extra memories and those without. And, with all due respect, you don't have a clue how hard this is on me or exactly what my position is. So take your theories and notions of responsibility and get them out of my face."
"You figure it out, cause I don't want to. I want to make it go away. And you too, with your big eyes and perfect smile. You ever feel like that might be a cosmic joke too? Having people chasing you all the time?"
Okaaaay he thought. Hello, personal feelings.... You don't like her any more, remember Dolet? Even if she is drop-dead gorgeous....
Dolet sighed, and took a breath. "Forget it. Look, let's just pretend we didn't run into each other. Okay, Captain?"
